I recently started a custom scenerio based off of Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings with the setting of course being Middle Earth.
I'm still very early in the begining stages but it's coming along nicely and I just couldn't wait to show my progress.

Any comments about major errors in the map, let me know. Not all elements are there. I plan on creating (to the best of my ability) Isengard, Weathertop, Bree, The Black Gate and more. I'm pretty syked so far.

Like the map, very close to the real (?) thing! One thing though, you need to put the Lonely Mountain and Dale (from the Hobbit) to the east of the Mirkwood. Then you can have a Smaug dragon coaster.

Oh, and where your map says Western Middle Earth, I think you mean Eastern Middle Earth ;)

Yes the Lonely Mountain will be there. And as far as it saying Western Middle Earth. The map I used to refer to says "The West of Middle Earth". But it is over the sea on the left. I just figured it was refering to the entire map. I've got so many ideas for rides for this park. If anyone want's to contribute to this massive endeavor, let me know.

seriously best custom park idea ever. i will happily contribute whatever you need. make sure one of your rides raps around a tower in some way.

let me clarify. make a tower out of scenery and make a freefall ride inside it, then make the last few pieces above the tower. that would be awesome

I'm thinking of which pieces of themeing to use for the tower. I thought of putting a drop ride within as well. I'm trying to designate the areas within the park. There are so many details that could be included. I'm going to just have to work at this one and carefully decide the most important elements. If you want to try a custom building recreation of Isengard, go for it. It would be cool to see what you can come up with. I started Bree and Rohan and Gondor will need custom buildings as well as Barad Dur and other stuff.

I'm still adding details to the map and deciding on the objectives. I'm hoping to make this a custom working scenerio when it's finished. Not just a park I create to share. I'm thinking of making the Shire the only owned land to begin, until certain objectives are met of course. Certain areas will only be able to have building rights and others strictly for sale to buy and other areas completely untouchable. This map is massive and I doubt anyone could run it if it was fully packed with rides and peeps. I'm thinking it's pretty much going to turn out as a bunch of small parks linked throught transportation rides maybe. I don't know.

Thanks for the input

Am looking VERY forward to seeing a recreation of Minas Tirith (or however the heck you spell it)--the whole idea of a city carved into the side of a mountain has SERIOUS potential in RCT3...
