View Full Version : New Unnamed Park, my first attempt

This is my first serious attempt at a real world like park, its currently nameless and I'm still working on the park, as the pictures below show.

Currently I am working on the western and adventure themed parts of the park with Sci-fi and generic confirmed for construction and maybe a horror/scary themed area to come. I would say we are at about 75% complete on adventure and 50% on western, other areas have yet to be started. You will currently notice a lake of rollercoasters(only 1 atm) this is because, with my current design ideas, they will only fit in the sci-fi section.

Anyway, I'll have some more info soon, but for now, enjoy these screenshots of the adventure and western areas during the day and night.

N.B. I have decided to put the screenshots on a seperate page as they are big and there is quite a few, see them here (warning 56k'ers) (http://chrisnolan.superihost.com/)

Any constructive critisism is welcome ;)

(BTW, this runs at a very playable frame rate on my 1.6Ghz P4, 512MB Ram, Radeon 9600Pro computer, despite the high themeing)

Looks great, but it looks like your paths are all the same. Some variation there would be cool. It adds a bit of color.

yeah i've been thinking about the paths, I might have a play around with them, really they just evolved freeform - I never really planned anything in terms of layout I just let it form naturally.

Cheers for the comments!

Looks good! I usually do pretty much the same thing (just let it form naturally), but for Six Flags Grand Canyon, I'm planning everything out (except for the coaster layouts). :)
