I'm starting my first ever RCT3 Park. It is called:

The Great Adventure

Aztec Temple Construction has closed due to too many curses being unleashed. The temple has been bulldozed and is being replaced by an all new attraction: THE DIAMOND MINE. New video and screenshots have been added. Scroll down for more information.

CONSTRUCTION BEGINS JANUARY 2005

I have been preplanning it with the Demo so far. I DO have some screenshots of actual in-game stuff, so please don't think of this as one of those non-screenshot-only-planning-a-theme-park-topic. Okay, on with the describing and screenshots:
The first place that the guests see is the boathouse. This is where the entrance will be hidden(cause I think that they're ugly) and also because the paths don't go off of the map like in RCT2. So having the guests "arrive" on a boat is the best way to do it in my opinion.

The next part of the park is the fake entrance. This just adds to the illusion that the guests actually arrive on a boat.

After the fake entrance, the guests enter the park under a Monorail Station and into...

*The Monorail actually is only inside of the Town Square. It just takes you to the entrances to the other two thirds of the park.

The guests can go two ways after visiting the Town Square. If they go left, they enter:

Adventure cove houses three mini-sections of the park.

The Tomb of Tukahankamun is a LIM Launched Coaster fully indoors in two piramids.

Revenge of Blackbeard is a Swinging Pirate Ship that might not be incorporated in the final plans.
Pirate Cove is a boat ride similar to POTC at Disneyland.
X is a gift shop that also might not be incorporated into the final plans

*The Diamond mine used to be called The Aztec Temple. Due to complications, it was changed to Diamond Mine. The Aztec Temple was originally planned to be an Indiana Jones ride, but again, due to complications, it was changed. The Diamond Mine might even change again. Keep that in mind.

But, if the guests choose to go to the right after the Town Square, they enter:
The Halls of Time
This is another third of the park that contains four mini-sections. This is the deepest part of the park in terms of planning.

The northernmost part of this section(and the whole park for that matter) is:
The Launch Point(highlighted in white)

Escape from Mars is a mini coaster with cars in the shape of rocket ships. It is an indoor coaster that is actually meant to be ridden in the daytime.(you'll see what I mean when I release the park/screenshots)

Only half of the buildings were placed so that the map would be easier to comprehend.

Let me be the first to say that the terrain you have done seems impresionant. All that colours and info you have add says me that this park can be awesome. Want to see soon your future coasters, as that is what you are going to mainly do. Why not calling the park The Great Coaster Adventure, gives direct info of what your are going to found in your park and also is like a more park to be themed around it.
What i can say for now is that the terrain looks awaysome, keep up with the good work.

Wow very nice! Very organized (which I love). Can't wait to see this park progress. I love the layout very much. Also, I think you should name it the Great Adventure. I think it suits the park better than Coaster Town would.

And 1 more thing, I don't think you should changed the name of The Lunch Point lol. I think thats a PERFECT name for a food court in the launch point. It may sound corny but I think its perfect :D

I'm still debating about The Lunch Point though... all the pros and cons and piling up day by day. One thing is that it's really corny, but on the other hand, lots of stuff in theme parks are corny...hmm...I'll have to give it more thought over the break. I just hope that I get the game for christmas so that I can start in January after I've experimented with some stuff.

I thought the terrain wasn't that great actually. It's all flat except for Raptor River Run which shoots right up into the air...I'm going to have to think of something. Oh, here are some more screens of some stuff:

This is the logo that would be if it was called Coaster Town, but now it might be a G A for Great Adventure... I'm still thinking of which, but right now I'm leaning more for Great Adventure.

I'm pretty sure that by terrain he ment the layout of the park. :)

I'm still thinking of which, but right now I'm leaning more for Great Adventure.

Thats an awesome work, want to see some of your work when you got the whole game.
BTW I love harbor area, you did very realistic buidings there and with only the demo, incredible.
And how are you going to put so many coasters, the demo has only two types, and you couldnt save???:bulb:

I'm going to build the full park in the full game when I get it. I'm just building bits and peices of what I want the park to look like when I make it. If that made any sense at all...:bulb:

Minor Update: The Lunch Point in The Launch Point is going to be a large 1950's style rocket ship pointing towards the sky with the loading dock right next to it. At the bottom near the engines are where I'm going to put the shops. Off to the side there's going to be an enclosed patio where the guests can sit down. The side pointing towards the rocket is going to have a lot of large windows on it, so it's like the guests can watch the rocket "take off". It'll look good, trust me on that.

Thanks, that's what I was going for. The building will probably be changed in the full version, but it's a good prototype IMO.

Anyway, I've been planning out more of The Launch Point area. I've been trying out different ride buildings for Escape From Mars. None of them have caught my interest so far, but I'll probably have another update tomorrow.

So, any thoughts are always appreciated. I need feedback more than ever right now to get the theme park right. I want it to be as close to perfect as possible.(it can't be perfect because there'll always be some people that don't like it)

^This is the whole Launch Point area. I didn't color the ground, I didn't want to mess up Escape From Mars. I make mistakes a lot.

So, basically the whole place is built around a certain building, that one gift shop place. I liked the curved edges with the large windows in the middle. It's pretty nice...pretty nice...nice...yeah...

Oh, and I gladly report no lag! That's one of the biggest things I'm worried about...lag...ugh...I hate lag...lague...however you spell it...

So, I would really like to know what you think of it. C'mon guys, I won't bite you...maybe...

DIAMOND MINE

I was thinking yesterday, and I realized that I had no idea what an aztec temple looked like. So, instead I'm replacing it with a western mine type ride called Diamond Mine. It's a non-indoors ride, so it's outdoors.yeah... And I have the third video I've made for the great adventure right about...

^This is the most plain station I have ever done. But I'm actually happy with it, since it is a MINE ride and I have never seen a really detailed mining building. So it's not that bad...

I love how on some of your rides you used the Fontierland Theme music and also the Test Track theme Music. That is pretty cool! Good luck on your park!

Yeah, I got the music from www.soundofmagic.com. It's a good source for in-ride music.

SUPER MICE IS COMPLETE!
I've been busy today. Well, there's not that much to do today... Anyway, I made Super Mice. Of course it's not a wild mouse coaster, but it will be in the actual park. Since I have the demo only, I will just settle for the suspended coaster right now...

Just a little heads up, the next thing I'm going to work on is either Pirate Cove or Raptor River Run. I have the music all set for both of them, I'm just trying to figure out which one.

Both of them are water rides, so I'm going to have to cheat a little on both of them in the demo. Underwater woodies! woo!

Hey, thanks! All this time without the real game...gets you to thinkin of ways to do other stuff...yeah...if that made any sense at all.

I think I'll do Raptor River Run next, since I'm not in the mood for covering the rides. It's tough...:(

Wow all that rides look fantastic, i love the mars one, is as if you were above the planet, awesome!.
Ans the diamond mine is just perfect, I love the clock square. Im waiting to see all this rides in the real version of the park, if you can do this with the demo, with the retail game (and the patches) you will be in paradise.
