View Full Version : Planning question

I have been looking at some of the videos and coasters that others have created and am astonished at the creativity and patience that goes into making these "interior coasters" and even indoor shops!
My question is:

Is there a certain way to go about the creation of a coaster that goes inside a building? I mean, do you always build the entire coaster first and then do the building structure? Or do you build them simultaneously?:noob:
Am I correct in assuming that most all of the terrain editing is done prior to all of this?

it really depends on what you want it to be like. if you want it all to be in one room then build the coaster then the building around it. if you want it to go through a bunch of rooms I normall build it room by room (coaster than building, coaster then building). but find out what works best for you ;)

It does require thought, planning, some imagination, and creativity as well, so it takes time. As stated, depending on what you want, practice in a pretend park to "perfect" terrain and learning the tools is also a key factor to consider. Terrain can be played with with coaster done, but MUST be final before structure shell is started.

thanks for the further advice, skipper!
i'm getting the patience, somehow to attempt these custom coasters! i think it is a direct result of the talent i've seen displayed on this forum! when i asked for this game for christmas, i never dreamed it could do the things that the members here can make it do!
