Krusty Burger (Yes, the Observation deck is the big Krusty Burger sign):

and Kwik-E-Mart (I added the text in paint because I felt it was necessary):

More to come as I feel I have the time and desire!

Oh, and I could use a few suggestions on how to build the nuclear power plant. I don't believe there are any pieces in that game that would arch the way I need them too, and if there are, let me know, please. Thanks :)

YAY! A Simpsons Park!

Wait - lemme correct myself...

A well designed Simpsons Park!

The buildings look great so far

RE: Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
Have you considered using Terrain to make the stacks? They'll give you the slope and flat top you need. A well hidden volcano or mortar will give you nice smoke pouring out

Looking forward to seeing the Simposon's and Flander's residences!

Ooooo good thinking! And as soon as I'm done with this street I'm gonna put together Evergreen Terrace.

I dunno really but for some arches you could also use coaster track maybe...

First of all, very original buildings and perfect use of theming. Well done!!! Want to see more of the Simpsons park.:D
And a suggestion for the nuclear plant is using for the big pipes the towers of the halloween castle, yu can do the slope with the bottom special piece of the tower and then continue up with the normal ronded pieces. And as simbolism says you can have a well placed underground volcanoe to do the smoke of the nuclear pipes, or you can also use some of the fireworks of RCTpyro.
Keep up with the good work SOR_Joop, this park is going out really nice. (I love the letters of the Kwik-E-Mart:p, in Spain Apu's shop is called Badulaque )

Brilliant idea! Springfield has all the vivid colours and "Mild comic mischief" that RCT3 is all about! Great progress so far, other landmarks could be:

Jebediah Springfield statue
Springfield Gorge
Springfield Elementary
Springfield Retirement Castle
Itchy and Scratchy Land ("Order more 'Bort' name tags!")
A Martian section (for the green aliens)

...and so many more! There really is so much scope for this park, it'll be really interesting to see how it develops!

Thank you, come again!

I plan on adding almost all of that, and the itchy and scratchy land is a great idea! I kinda plan on making the first park of the park more of a midway-theme park kind of place and the big rides would be towards the back of the park. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Great work! Are you just creating the look or are you going to make it into a theme park?

Slowly but surely I'm going to develop it into a theme park.

Looks pretty nice. It seems kind of hard to blend the rides in though, but you should be able to manage it.

I love Rev. Lovejoy's church SOR_Joop, just like the real one, for the roff you could have use the wild west ones because its the only one colourable that have differnt steeps. But how you used the terrain gives it a perfect look, well done.
What ideas do you have for the rides?
Well done, and if you need any help just contact me.

A few coaster concepts:

The Bartman
Itchy vs. Scratchy
Krusty's Krazy Koaster
The Flaming Moe

Other Rides:
Treehouse of Terror
Tunnel of Duff (Bart, be quiet! Lisa, drink the water!)

That's all I've got for now.

fantastic, i would like to see that itchy vs scratchy cool if it was a dueling dragon style coaster, keep up the good work, and maybe do a monorail around the area like a tour, well done 10/10

I just saw this thread and I love it. You are doing a great job. I love the Simpsonís. I play the Simpsonís Hit and Run every so often when I can pull myself away from RCT3.

I have a map of Springfield that you might want.
It is a .png file just over 600k. I found this format to be smaller than jpg. If you want it, let me know. I thought about posting it here but was worried it might take to long to load for people with slow internet connections. It is a great map, very detailed. It has all the locations of Springfield ever mentioned to exist in the show.

Don't think I've forgotten about this park! I just don't have a whole lot of time between work, school, the g/f, and having to share a computer between 5 people.

But tonight I will post pictures of my most recent addition to Springfield, Barney's Bowl-a-Rama...

Tunnel of Duff (Bart, be quiet! Lisa, drink the water!)
Hahahah, I remember that moment, want to see how you are going to do Barney's Bowl-a-rama, but the question is:
-are you going to put it in the old place?
or
-are you going to put it in the top of the mountain where the hurricane left it?:D

How do get the name titles across the buildings.
I cannot locate this feature in RCT3.

SOR_Joop

You can't, unfortunately. I did the Kwik-E-Mart logo in MS Paint.

I put it across from the Krusty Burger. I'm even thinking of adding the bowling pin construction site in the back.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can get the offshoots in front of the Bowl-a-Rama, please let me know.

Come to think of it, I should put a sign at the top as well. I stretched my artistic license with this one, anyway.

Is this park still in progress? or did you stop working on it?

Wow, the church looks amazing!

You will have to add a monorail, that was one of my favorite episodes.

SOR_Joop

I stopped working on it. Click on the Hills of Thrills link in my sig for an explanation.

Thanks for all of the support though. If I feel motivated, I might just try tackling this one again. My next project, however, is going to be reviving Metal Mayhem.

You need to change the statue it does not look right at all please change.
I like The Simpsons but make it look more like how it does in the show. Other than that that buildings look good.

I think the both of you need to look VERY closely at post dates before you even think of posting!

I mean, come on, this thread hasn't been updated in TWO whole years!!! Half, if not all the people that posted in it don't even visit this site anymore, but it still needs to be brought up for some far-out reason?!

Bottom line: read before you post, it could very well save lives one day, or at least save you money on car insurance

Plus if you look in the creators sig, this park is in the R.I.P. section
