I have gotten really frustrated, I've never been able to make actual buildings in any of the Rollercoaster Tycoon games...
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to build buildings, I haven't figured out how to make ceilings, I can only seem to build at ground level I need a detailed description of how to make structures, ceilings, walls, and all.

Also, I was wondering how you make those cool little poster thingies for your rollercoasters and parks that I see on a lot of Rollercoaster Tycoon fan sites, plus, how do you take screenshots in Rolercoaster Tycoon 3? I can't seem to take screenshots... But first plz, answer the first two questions, they are by far the most important, thx.

Try reading the manual, both of the answers to your game questions are in there.

Posters for coasters are generally made by altering the in game screenshots in a graphics program like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro

Saving pictures is as simple as hitting F10, so simple it's all you have to do. There is a distinct probability of a building tutorial appearing very soon.

As TheSkipper says, a building tutorial is probably needful. We seem to be getting questions. First and foremost go through the tutorial sequence on building. I did it twice. I did it badly twice.

My buildings had roofs in the middle of the building.

Later as I learned to use the shift key for better placement, and took my time, my buildings got better. So use the shift key. Experiment. Patience does pay off. The best designs are not developed at lightning speed.

In regards to a tutorial, there is probably a whole Forum's worth of tutorials needing to happen.

I figured it out by playing around in the sandbox mode. It takes some cordination with the shift key and the mouse. Feels funny to do at first. After you've got the roof or ceiling in the square where you want it, hold the shift key. Move the mouse up or down and you will raise and lower the part. When it turns blue and you've got it aligned and where you want it, then click.

Hope this helps

There is an idea and mall/building tutorial now available in the Veteran's Forum.

There are some others as well, for paths a small one, and one for customizing bridges.
