View Full Version : Celestial Park- BIG UPDATE with screens and park download!!! 5/3

04-09-2005, 11:13 PM
Hey all! Well, I've been working on this new park for the past few days. Yesterday while working on it I took this gorgeous screenshot that I really liked, so I decided to post it as a teaser image! Hope you all like it!

The sculpture in the foreground is two birds sitting on two rocks that are sticking out of the ocean's surface, can you see it? ;)

Inside the white coaster track structure I made a water fountain show with changing colored lights. A screenie of the show in action will come soon!

04-09-2005, 11:14 PM
That looks cool, can you show us some more pics?

04-09-2005, 11:17 PM
Thanks coasterfreak ;)

Read the last two lines in the first post...

04-09-2005, 11:19 PM
Oh, sorry I didn't read that.

04-09-2005, 11:19 PM
Looks like World Of Innovation. Looks awesome Milky

04-09-2005, 11:27 PM
Thanks CE.

You just say that because of the rollercoaster track sculptures :-P

I assure you that it's not going to look like WoI. I'm still not positive on the direction I'm going to take this park in, but right now I'm thinking elegant and...ugh I can't think of the right word...whatever ;-P. We'll see how it turns out. I just go with the flow. Even when I have an idea of what I want, I usually end up going in a different direction once I start building and messing around with different ideas.

04-09-2005, 11:30 PM
ugh I can't think of the right word

Not crappy???? Sorry tried to take a guess.

Hmm saying "go with the flow" makes me want to play that scenario..

04-09-2005, 11:33 PM
It's definately not going to be crappy :-P (not being conceited or anything :p). Lol about the go with the flow comment. That actually makes me want to listen to the song from Queens of the Stone Age :p Heheheh.

cant wait to see more milk :D

04-10-2005, 12:50 AM
How'd you get the track to intersect like that? And go underground? What? Am I missing something?

Anyways, that really is a nice screenshot you took there. It looks like darth vader if you look closely... (the wild mouse track makes up the eyes and the mouth, the others in the background make up the helmet)

odd...but cool, in it's own weirdly awkward way.

04-10-2005, 12:57 AM
Holy crap it does look like Darth Vader! That's awesome! :p

Umm, to have the track intersect you type in TrackAllowSameTrackIntersect 1 in your options.txt file.

[edit]Well, I was going to save the new screens for tomorrow but, I got done with them tonight so I'll go ahead and post 'em :D.

Enjoy! :D:up:

04-10-2005, 11:29 AM
Great new pics, Great job using the track for scenery!

Keep it up.

04-10-2005, 11:57 AM
Man, you're so lucky. You get reflective water. It's not fair... *snif*

That bathroom is neat. The golden dome is a great use for the roof!

04-10-2005, 12:01 PM
That bathroom is neat. The golden dome is a great use for the roof!
Haha thanks :D! I went through ever roof in the game and none of them looked right! So then I tryed out the done and loved it :D Thankf for noticing :p

And thank you and Coasterfreak for the compliments! :D

04-10-2005, 05:54 PM
Awesome pics Milkdud! The water fountain show looks pretty cool, could you post a download for that later?:D

04-10-2005, 06:59 PM
Wooooooooooow Milkdud!
I love your fountain!!!!!!! Is so beautiful!!! in what time you've done it?

04-10-2005, 08:58 PM
Wow! Thank you all for the great comments :D

Tidus, I've been working on the park for 2-3 days.

Not much of an update...I just made logo for the park, or a poster or whatever you wanna call it :p

Sorry I don't have any new shots :( I just have't been able to work on the park today. I spent most of my day cleaning my fish tank haha.

04-10-2005, 09:00 PM
Sounds more like a retirement home than anything else. :D

04-10-2005, 09:04 PM
:haha: :haha: It kind of does, but the name is still good.

04-10-2005, 09:05 PM
LOL! Your right :-P

Well too bad! :-P I named it that because the statues are of birds if you look closely ;)

In the first pic the statue is two birds sitting on rocks sticking out of the ocean in case you missed the text under it. I was originally going to name the park Windsoar Heights.

edit: Maybe I'll add a retirement home in the corner somewhere. Lol!

04-10-2005, 09:14 PM
Scary, it really does look like Darth Vader.

That is really weird.

04-10-2005, 10:12 PM
you're right coasterfrick..it really looks like darth vader...!:D

04-10-2005, 10:45 PM
I know! Your_Name_Here has a great eye! It looks so much like Darth Vader that it's scary :p
I needa put a thought bubble in that pic that says "Luke, I am your father!" Rofl!

04-11-2005, 10:18 AM
Hopefully this won't turn into a Star Wars park.

04-11-2005, 11:04 AM
And what is wrong with Star Wars, eh?

This park looks AWESOME!!! I love those screens, look so cool!! Very realistic, great entrance to what should be a great park!!

04-11-2005, 11:37 AM
Woaw milkdud your fountain is really awesome !
plus, that dome-roof is great and inventive !
You've got your own style, and I love it !

Well I've seen it so many times that it gets a little annoying.

04-11-2005, 08:50 PM
Na, it's definately not going to turn into no Star Wars park :p It's not Sci-Fi themed anyways hehe.

Thank you all for the overwhelming replys!!! :D They help a lot!

Time for another update!

Empyrean CafeIt's the parks first food court, woohoo! :D Guests can relax on the porch, then go inside and buy some food, and then walk out to the back porch and eat while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake and the Swan Boats.

Enjoy! Let me know what you think as well :D

04-11-2005, 08:51 PM
There are no people. Did you Soylent Green them to make the food for the cafe? I guess they were too old anyways. :D

04-11-2005, 08:59 PM
It would be nice if you could post something positive first before the negative, or visa-versa :p

But anyways, I don't like peeps. They slow down performance and I like to run the park on extreme graphics. They also tend to vomit and litter everywhere :p

But yeah they do make the park feel more alive...I'll think about it ;)

04-11-2005, 09:11 PM

That includes me, doesn't it? I don't slow down performance and vomit everywhere!

04-11-2005, 09:38 PM
Once you finish you can open the park!

04-12-2005, 12:08 AM
Very nice track "art" Milkdud, I just saw this & it looks really nice so far. Great scenery/themeing so far, I'm looking forward to see more of this as you get it done.

04-12-2005, 06:29 AM
It's so beautiful Milkdud!!!!!

04-12-2005, 10:57 AM
Milkdud, your Empyrean Cafe is so beautiful. I want to sit on that porch and just watch the swans go by. You have created a wonderful setting. Keep up the good work.

04-12-2005, 04:04 PM
I like it MilkDud. I would like to sit with CircleVision at the cafe.
It looks like a great place to chill out. The sculpture is very remarkable as well. You always build wonderful parks and rides.
As of late my time has been limited so RCT3 has fallen to the back burner. I am glad you are still turning out such imaginative creations.

-[A.S] Fanie-
04-12-2005, 04:50 PM
Looking good ;)

04-13-2005, 10:15 AM
Wow Milky great job on this park i love it. Cant wait for more your park has a terrific atmosphere great job. Its like I can almos smell the food cooking.

04-17-2005, 03:11 PM
C'mon we need another update Milkdud!!

04-17-2005, 05:18 PM

Sorry, taking a break from RCT3 for a little bit. I got back into FFXIII...yes I know, it's a very old game that I still have for my PS1 :p But I LOVE the game! It's the best game ever made (besides rct3 of course) and felt like playing it! Giving myself sometime to let my creative juices build back up :p

I also got a new graphics card, however, I think it may not be the right model and I might have to return it. Waiting for my uncle to come check it out. It's an ATI Radeon 9800 pro. 128MB :D

04-17-2005, 09:51 PM
Mildud do you wanna join my park its gonna be fun the teams need your skills plzz join.

04-17-2005, 10:24 PM
ATI Radeon 9800 pro. 128MB, NO WAY
hmm i think u should get higher of that, try any nvidia 6600 cos it is about faster than ATI 9800

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
GPU running at 380MHz
memory running at 680MHz

Nvidia 6600GT

BOTH are about the same price.

also i think u should get new motherboard if u are still using AGP.
PCI-Express is rock!
After i have a huge upgrade with new M/Board, 1GB Memory, AMD64 3500+ and 6600GT for £550 (about $1000) and it is hell fast all games esp RCT3 too

by the way, your park is sweet!

04-18-2005, 07:35 AM
I WOULD have bought the geforce 6600gt, however, I didn't have the extra 50 bucks.

I'm not really a hardcore gamer so I don't really need such a powerful card.

Sry Chickenselects, but I have to pass on the offer. Like I said, I'm taking a small break from the game. I should start back next week.

04-18-2005, 05:51 PM
You could be a photographer when you grow up Milkdud. You take the best pictures, in my opinion.

I don't get into arguements;I start them!:D

Please visit these two websites to see some great uploads;by me

For RCT3, my screename's Rollerfan2000:

For the Sims 2, my screename's IamSimful:

04-18-2005, 06:30 PM
Wow, I love the use of track for scenery, something I never thought of. I enjoy seeing new ideas out there. I am a crappy builder myself, so I like to see how good others are. Maybe someday I can find someone worse them I am...hmm:weird:

04-18-2005, 08:53 PM
Looks great Milkdud - you've really brought your technique of intertwining coaster tracks to a new level! In the night shot of the pool with the fireworks going off, are those lasers you have mixed in? It's a cool effect, the curving framework plus the arrow-straight light beams mixed in.

Hopefully lag will not have it's way with you too soon. :) Keep up the good work!

04-18-2005, 09:05 PM
Wow! This park of yours is beautiful!

04-18-2005, 11:22 PM
Fantastic work there, MD! Once again you've got perfect theming...

04-19-2005, 03:00 AM
Milkdud, this has got to be your most beautiful park yet. Great work!

and btw, I agree with you that FFVIII is a GREAT game!

04-19-2005, 03:19 PM
Y'know, for as simple as an idea as it is... I absolutely love the arch you created in front of the cafe'. Great idea.

The park is beautiful! Step away from the Final Fantasty. Nice and slow, and nobody gets hurt... That's it... nice and easy.

04-20-2005, 06:21 PM
Thanks for all the kind words everyone! Thanks for motivating me! ;)
Lookin' across the lake:

04-20-2005, 06:25 PM
Wow i completely forgot about the swans...

'begins to make tunnel of love ride'

Looks really nice though, very professional work.

04-20-2005, 06:49 PM
That last picture is amazing. Way to capture the moment in that picture with the nice scene of the lake and the swan boats! Keep it up!!!

04-20-2005, 09:00 PM
It's all so ... celestial...Milkdud you're park is full of peace.....this is one of my favourite parks!:D

04-21-2005, 06:08 PM
It looks really serene and tranquil.

You can almost see the grandmas in rocking chairs. :D

04-21-2005, 10:47 PM
These screens are great!! It looks REALLY realistic.

Keep up the great work Mikdud!

04-22-2005, 07:17 PM
sorry to tell you but can you put your pics a little bit smaller? I hate to scroll all the way to the right just to try to see the picture.

04-22-2005, 08:00 PM
You betcha! The problem is already solved ;)

I should have done that sooner...phew, thanks for bringing this to my attention :D:up:

That's what happens when I take screenshots with the resolution set to the highest and forget to decrease the size afterwards...:p

04-22-2005, 08:24 PM
How do you decrease the size?

04-22-2005, 09:18 PM
Well, I use Adobe Photoshop, but you can even do this in Paint by using the stretch/skew option. If you need a more detailed explanation please PM me.

04-22-2005, 10:33 PM
coasterfreak, try DigitalPhotoResisezer... www.icegiant.com!

04-22-2005, 11:22 PM
Oh, I just found I could use the Stretch/ Skew button to use it thanks Milkdud.

04-23-2005, 12:53 AM
like i said in the previous thread - ive been trying to grab some ideas from here...but you make it look all too easy!

awesome park milkdud - its very serene and relaxing. i could see myself across the lake, lying on that hill, just soaking up the partially shaded sun.

its a masterpiece on a smaller scale!

04-26-2005, 10:15 PM
Y'know, for as simple as an idea as it is... I absolutely love the arch you created in front of the cafe'. Great idea.
Thanks for noticing :D
Step away from the Final Fantasty.
I just can't do it captain!
its a masterpiece on a smaller scale!
Small-scale is exactly what I did not want this park to be. I wanted to move away from the small-scale, mediocre buildings of my previous parks and start making much larger, extravagent buildings. Just looks like I can't do it! No matter what I do all my buildings turn out smaller than I wanted. Looks like I'm just going to have to try harder! I still like the way Empyrean Café turned out none-the-less, however.

I'm also going to try harder to release myself from this Final Fantasy addiction as well and get back to work! :p:up:

P.s. How's the new avatar? :haha::haha::haha:

04-27-2005, 01:55 PM
WOw great patk milky (can i call you like that? )

i realy like it.

PS. wow your changing avatars a lot

04-27-2005, 05:40 PM
wow this park is excellent i really like it alot

i like it how you can use coaster track to make models

04-27-2005, 10:01 PM
nonono, i didnt mean that by any means.

masterpiece on a smaller scale is more in reference to the fact that this park isnt big and flashy. the buildings are like the perfect size, not ginourmous, but not dinky shacks. they are wonderfully themed and created and could be seen in any real life park.

the graceful curves you incorporate, further the smoothness the park exudes. its the type of park you could see in a Monet painting. just so dreamlike and carefree.

rarely would i use the term "masterpiece" for a large, coaster-filled park. but i chose that word because this park is more than just flash. its got substance and even though its small (the amount of rides and ride-filled space) its better than most of the parks on here.

small is a good word when used right.

04-27-2005, 10:23 PM
Wow, thank you so much for that n747, those are some very motivating words :D. Thanks for clearing that up as well, sorry I misunderstood your comment the first time :p

Anyways, sorry for the lack of updates guys. I'll try and get back started on this park as soon as possible. I'm trying to do some work on Oz as well so I'll do my best to get another update soon. I've invented a new 'hybrid' coaster that I think you all will enjoy ;)

04-29-2005, 11:33 PM
Hey all! Well, I haven;t updated in quite a while so here's a BIGGIE!

Like I said in the post above (sorry for the double post), I've created a 'hybrid' coaster. If that's the appropriate word....
What this is is four coaster types layered intop of each other to create one ride! I'll let the screenshots speak for me....

04-29-2005, 11:34 PM

Now to start the video-making process! :D:up:

04-29-2005, 11:43 PM

I can almost GUARANTEE you that people here are going to use this new idea of yours.

Can't wait for the vid! :)

04-29-2005, 11:51 PM
THanks YNH ;) I think so too :p But that's the primary reason for posting this. I want this to open up new ideas for others.

Anyways, I forgot a night shot! So here's one for you guys:

04-30-2005, 03:13 AM
i had this idea 2 (only wih the water slide to make tunnel) but its great. yeah people definatly gonna coppy this one.

i like it

greetz maz:D

04-30-2005, 05:59 AM
There are words to comment this masterpiece!? For me, none! Another great work Milkdud!:D

04-30-2005, 07:53 AM
Awsome idea of mixing, and you did it seamlessly. I esppicially liked the way you used the coaster as a roof:)

04-30-2005, 09:43 AM
Wow, awesome coaster.

I would have never thought of using coasters and slides for track covers!

I also think the covers for the lines are really cool.

Great job Milkdud!

04-30-2005, 10:54 AM
That is one AWESOME coaster!! I can not wait till this park is done!:D About how done r u?

04-30-2005, 11:35 AM
<<<Jaw Drops>>>

Wow! That combo-coaster is an incredible idea! And building in the twisting sprials that way - just beautiful.

You've done it again MilkDud!

04-30-2005, 04:12 PM
Thank you all so much! :D

The video is done, hope you guys like it! ;)

Worm Hole Video (17MB) (http://rapidshare.de/files/1508950/WormHole.wmv.html)

Worm Hole Video (8MB) (http://rapidshare.de/files/1509748/WormHoleSmall.wmv.html)

04-30-2005, 05:34 PM
Brilliant! I love what you've done and that video was breath taking!

04-30-2005, 05:47 PM
I am downloading the video right now, but I have to say, I love what you did with that "hybrid" that is simply amazing. I like all the work you have done with the coaster tracks as scenery also, it gives the park a realistic look, I am loving it!

Just watched the vid, WOW, I loved it. That was easily one of the best videos I have seen. That ride was very realistic, I was to ride it for real.

04-30-2005, 08:33 PM
The vid was awesome! All the different track elements mixed in together...just an awesome idea. :)

But how'd you get the different track to mix with each other? All I can get is the track of the same ride to overlap... I was trying to get the Multidimensional lifthill to mix with a regular steel lifthill(for the stairs), but it wouldn't allow me to. What code did you use in your options.txt file? :bulb: :(

04-30-2005, 08:40 PM
That was amazing verry unique. I cant wait for this park to be finished.
P.s. Is this park going to be small like the other parks?

04-30-2005, 09:29 PM
I just downloaded the video, GREAT job Milkdud, awesome coaster and I really liked the way you used the slide and other coasters for scenery.

Awesome. 10/10

04-30-2005, 09:37 PM
Thank you guys so much!

What code did you use in your options.txt file?
I thought it was just TackAllowSameTrackIntersect 1, but to be on the safe side, also add AttractionSceneryAllowSceneryIntersect 1 and AttractionSceneryAllowTerrainIntersect 1

Again, thank you all for the excellent comments!

04-30-2005, 09:39 PM
Wow, after looking at this (and a few other creations I might add) It definately makes you think....

04-30-2005, 11:47 PM
Very nice park! I am loving it a lot, keep it up!

05-01-2005, 01:19 AM
I have tried mixing the tracks like you did, but it won't work. I did put in those things in the objects.txt file.

BTW, awesome job so far.

05-01-2005, 08:22 AM

Jason, wrong file bud :-P.

The .txt file that you add those too is the options.txt file.

05-01-2005, 09:47 AM
I don't have word to describe your work...it's simply AMAZING! ...like all your works...! Ciao!

05-01-2005, 11:13 AM

My game wont let me do stuff like that

05-01-2005, 11:18 AM
Wow, after looking at this (and a few other creations I might add) It definately makes you think....

'Bugs' is not the appropriate word. I didn't use any bugs in this park. Thier more like 'cheats' used by adding certain lines to your options.txt file. Thier there for us to exploit! :p

For more info. check out this thread:

05-01-2005, 11:33 AM
Cool vid like always Milky!

I watched it 10 times already.. But not In a row:up:      6 fingers up!

05-01-2005, 07:15 PM

1. supports for wooden coaster. angled brackets. they look decent, but at least we can create supports for it.

2. a look in the camelback section of the woodie in the supports.

3. mixing the multidimensional coaster with the floorless gives a nice stairway for chainlifts.

4. mixing a variety of wooden coasters with the giga coaster gives you quick and simple hyper supports.

thanks so much milkdud for realizing the potential of this method!

05-01-2005, 08:10 PM
Good job n747, and your welcome! :D

Y_N_H mentioned that idea iof using the 4-d lifthill and I tested it out today. Very clever!

05-01-2005, 08:40 PM
The 4d idea I have tried it a long time ago but I could never work that tracks intersect thing

05-02-2005, 04:56 PM
Im ... I cant get different coaster tracks to intersect and i have the cheat enabled. What am i doing wrong?

05-02-2005, 05:05 PM
MD, sorry I haven't had the time to check out the latest -- but now that I had a chance, I'd like to congratulate you on this latest project. Between the "Letter" tracks, Celestial Park and now this wormhole project, you sure now how to bring fresh ideas to the existing scenery. Outstanding work.

05-02-2005, 09:56 PM
When I said I put those codes in the objects.txt file, I meant to say options.txt. So why would it not be working?

05-02-2005, 10:24 PM
Did you put any spaces between the words?

YAY 100 posts in this thread!

05-03-2005, 09:53 AM

but its trackAllowSameTrackIntersect 1

05-03-2005, 06:19 PM
Thank you, good eye...lol.

05-03-2005, 08:10 PM
Time for another update!!! Another biggie too.

I'll let the screenshots just show you everything that has been added to the park.

05-03-2005, 08:11 PM
^Overview of the new section, not the whole park. ;)

05-03-2005, 08:13 PM
Those are amazing! The green woodie walk through decor is brilliant - love the roof design! Really fantastic stuff you're doing with track.

05-03-2005, 08:21 PM
Thanks Pumper! But you might want to refresh the page since I added more screens :p

And now everyone, here is the: Park Download! (http://www.alienhax.us/uploads/Milkduds%20Celestial%20Park.zip)

05-03-2005, 08:25 PM
I saw you've added more - it was weird because as I finished typing, the pics like doubled! :haha:

Gotta DL this - that was actually going to be my next question.

Edit: Link has some extra code preventing it from DL.

Edit: Link has some extra code preventing it from DL.

Fixed! Sorry 'bout that! ;)

05-03-2005, 08:53 PM
This is GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Finally I have the honour to put it in my Parks collection!!!!! Great job Milkdud!!!!:D

05-03-2005, 09:18 PM
I like your parks cause you finish really fast!

Going to play....................................right now!

05-03-2005, 10:54 PM
Quite simply: Superb! The entire park is gorgeous - from entrance to swanboats (the structure to get in is very nice!). Wormhole (I didn't get to see the vid yet) was amazing - really felt like a whole new ride Frontier plopped in out of no where. The main gate at night = wowza! On top of all the brilliant scenery work, the coasters are well thought out - and realistic; I like that. I even like the way you gated the double shot towers. This one stays!

Wow, very creative with the tracks to say the least. I gotta try those tricks sometime. (but I'm too picky about that little wooden catwalk there or the little water in the tunnels :\ )

Whoa, resurrection!

Well, this park is fantastic, so I'll let it slide. ;) It reminds me of the original RCT where people would use Wild Wooden Mouse coaster tracks for supports. Is this where you got that inspiration?
