Any other suggestions??? PM me. (forum rules, etc)

<EDITED:Expanded (Soaked) version of Mavis's Tunnel Trick postponed temporarily... Wait for the Soaked Release in June, 2005... the new tunnel feature and the ability to save rides with scenery should solve most problems> ;)

As soon as I get my hands on the retail version of Soaked, I'll be working on an expanded version of Mavis's Tunnel Trick, including saving the local scenery with the coaster.

I'd love to see this list contain links to all the FANTASTIC tutorials that have come to help and inspire us all.

To ALL those that have posted a tutorial in these threads, please post a link here!!! I have many of the links stored in my favorites, but I'm not posting anything until you offer it ;)

If your tutorial is hosted on another site give me that link!!!! Links to threads are great, but links to fan sites are even better! What better way to help expand the world of RCT3?!?

If there are any tutorials you know of that should be included, post it here or better yet, send me a pm. ;)

As soon as links get offered, I'll edit this message to include them.

As always, HAVE FUN!!!!!

I guess I'll kick things off with a link to my tut about the 'Flying Camera Route Editor', sometimes known as the 'Attract Sequence Editor':

Hopefully Vodhin will jump in here too, his video tut about the editor is a great help.

This is a tutorial that show you how to make light effects in rct3, it
shows you how to make static lights, lasers and spotlight.
its made in microsoft word

Pro Colour Tutorial

I've completed a tutorial to create a simple firework. So if you don't understand the AFE, just read it. It has lot's of images to clear things up. Good luck.

note: The tutorial might contain an error, so if you encounter one, let me know so I can update it.

Adobe Acrobat required.

rctpyro has got it going on

I wasn't expecting such a quick response.

If anyone knows of anything else that they feel should be included, PM me! I'll gladly check it out and add it to the list.

Sorry, Skipper!!! I knew you had them avail, but I didn't have time to look for them. (almost late for work;) ) Thanks for posting the links!!!! I just added them.

Dean: Thanks for the links!!! I really like the tutorials (and pretty much EVERYTHING else) available on your site. Thanks for letting me link to them! (And THANKS for such a great site! Anyone who wants to know ANYTHING about fireworks, you KNOW where they turn first!!!)

Vodhin/Klinn: Do you have ANY idea how much your camera tutorials have done for the peeps??? <high five>

To All: Keep the tutorials and tricks coming!!!! we have some GREAT parks to build!!!!!!

Will look good in a Sci-Fi themed area or park.

Just curious (well actually, I want to know), but are there any Firework tutorials out there that aren't on rctpyro? I don't want to sign up there.

Now I'm curious. Why wouldn't you want to sign up there? It's a kick-arse site. It's run very nicely buy great people. And it's the BEST place for ANYTHING fireworks related, even special effects and utilities. Heck, I haven't been there since yesterday, I'm off right now. :D

06-29-2005, 12:44 AM
You want fireworks and the best help definitely sirn up there

06-29-2005, 03:30 AM
Everything you can imagine aside, www.rctpyro.com is the BEST site for fireworks and everything related. Dean was quick out of the gate to make sure that his site would be the defacto standard for RCT3 Pyro effects/fireworks, and he has done a great job at that. If you're interested in fireworks at all, I totally, and WHOLE HEARTIDLY recommend his site.

At the very least, rctpyro.com is recognised as the first stop for anything at all fireworks/fx related with RCT3. On top of that, Dean regularly updates his "mass update zip file" to include everything that we have subbmitted over the last month. Download his updates, and you're always on top of things. :p

Honestly, I signed up there at least 8 months ago... If your worried about spam, etc..... Don't. Dean's more interested in site traffic than he is making $ by registering peeps. I started a new email account about eight months ago just for RCT3 related stuff, and haven't gotten ONE BIT of junk mail yet. from ANY of our senior Vets or thier sites.

Ok Dean, where's our commision check that you promissed us for every new member we sucker into signing up? Err, I mean, every member we get to sign up. Whew!

;) :D

j/k HighPointer. You'll enjoy your stay. It's a great community with lots of great content. And of course it's run so well by [Dean].

Nice tutorials list!
You can add my waterfall trick tutorial to that list if you want, here is the link:

what about adding simbolism, hes a great builder.

07-08-2005, 04:16 AM
Post a link to his tutorials, they will be added. That's what this topic is about. There are many great builders, few make any tutorials at all.

07-08-2005, 05:07 AM
Thanks, Skipper! :)

Smallprint: If you check out the first post you'll see that I'm hoping to add links to some of the MANY great parks that have been created. Simbolism is truly one of the all time greats, as are The Professor, Milkdud, ytivarg, and many others.

The only reason I decided I want to add that section is to help inspire everyone, especially the new peeps. These are true RCT3 "artists"- and I can't stand the thought of thier incredible work being missed because time has let thier threads slip back a few pages. Linking to those threads will also help teach peeps a LOT about theming your parks, which is why I find it's totally appropriate to post such links in this thread! :D

Seriously, most of what I've learned about RCT3 came from these members. I definately do not want to see thier incredible work either missed or forgotten. Hopefully I'll have something of my own to add!!! (LOL... yah right)

07-18-2005, 12:30 PM
Since it has been asked for a few times, I made a visual tutorial on how to make Parking Lots.

Mind adding it to the list? :D

Here's the link to my giant Christmas tree tutorial: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504937&highlight=christmas+tree+tutorial

Hey, Phantom523- I dunno if you're still around (i see that little "out of the loop" tag line) but you can allways post links to my stuff.

For the rest of you, my tutorials can be found if you point your browser to: http://rct3.vodhin.net and then click on the Tips & Tricks link.

Now that the Holidays are behind me, I'll be able to get back into producing some more stuff for the community! :D

does anyone know of a site that has a tutorial on creating custom scenery?

07-07-2006, 10:50 PM
No, the best place to learn about how to for that is in our own Exchange, under "Custom Scenery"

this guide is completely amazing. it is just like on my clans forums - we have a guide for all of the most popular/useful threads. thanks for putting this up man! and nice guides skipper - i used most of yours.

08-10-2006, 10:07 PM
Shouldn't Shyguy be in that list?

08-11-2006, 12:19 AM
Where is his tut and what is it on?

08-12-2006, 10:04 AM
Where is his tut and what is it on?

No, I meant in the "True Inspiration!!!(in the works)" list.

08-14-2006, 01:01 PM
Wouldn't it be better to change the title of this therad? "Tutorials Gallore!!!" imho sounds like a (bad) advertisement for a tutorial page...
Something simple like "List of tutorials" would be better I think.

06-28-2007, 09:04 PM
Is there a tutorial on how to make particle effects in the Importer?? i cant find one. sorry if you heard this before, I'm asking all over. lol!

06-28-2007, 10:46 PM
If you BOTHERED to look at the threads where you asked, you would see that people have already answered.
Ask in ONE place and subscribe to the thread, instead of becoming a cross posting nuisance.
You ALSO would NOT reply to a thread dead for a year.
