So, what do you think?

05-16-2005, 03:37 PM
Wow that's pretty cool. Can't wait to see this unfold. What theme r u doing?

05-16-2005, 03:39 PM
Well..lets see.

The theme is semi-tropical....it's an island off the coast of the Carolinas....plam tress....decidious trees....anything that works goes.

Like Rebel's station. It is generic and sci fi. I like to combine themes in this park and make a new theme!

05-16-2005, 03:49 PM
wow, awesome floorless coaster and building!

05-16-2005, 04:51 PM
Thanks...so far that is all I have done with the park. So, does it really look that good? Would you like me to make a video of the coaster?

Any more comments!

UPDATE: 5-23-05

----We interrupt this thread for a constuction update----

No new pics today..but I can tell you about what has been going on.

The park had it's grand opening of all rides.

A new area has been added behind Rebel (the floorless coaster.) It features several flat rides and a stand-up B&M called Vortex (named after the one @Carowinds but nothing like it. )

The plans for the park call for several coasters down the main stretch with a huge strata coaster at the end. Behind each coaster along the main path will be a area for several flat rides and a coaster, which is what the area will be called.

My fps are starting to die down...cuz of the coasters, some trees, and the 800 peeps in the park (I forgot to turn down the peep generation rate from 100)

So, that brings you into the present for the park...a MAJOR UPDATE is coming tommorrow (tuesday.) It will have pics of Hyper Hills Gap and tons of Opening Day pictures...

------Now back to the regularly scheduled thread-----

05-24-2005, 03:14 PM
UPDATE: 5-24-05...Pics of the new section of the park..Hyper Hills Gap...featuring several flast rides and Hyper Hills....the hyper coaster.

05-26-2005, 06:16 PM
Still haven't converted the pics yest (you probably know why) tommorrow I plan to begin production on a video featuring the coasters of the park..,....sorry for the lack of updates (though I have updated more in the past week then some have done in a few weeks) but, I have been very busy with Premiere RCT3X and something else.

05-26-2005, 06:54 PM
Srry man i haven't been around this topic for a while.

Just caught up on pics. Those are pretty neat

I can't wait for more.

05-28-2005, 04:52 PM
UPDATE: 5-28-05

I made a on-ride video of Rebel (gave you wrong name earlier) today (as I promised a week or two ago.) I didn't have time to use the ASE or FCR (whatever name you prefer.) It is up on my site.....so no spyware or wait...just a video!!!:D
Click here to experience Rebel! (http://home.earthlink.net/~coasterdude89/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/rebel_on_ride.wmv)

05-29-2005, 12:15 AM
Nice park man! I like the pix. So are you going to zip this BAD MF and let us dwnload it, eventually?

05-29-2005, 02:55 AM
yeah great park mate. i realy love how it turns out.

good job

maz :D

05-29-2005, 01:34 PM
Thanks..... The video was made really quickly...so, it's not that great....any more comments? Come on people...I really need some feedback!!!

05-29-2005, 02:12 PM
I want to download the ride. It doesnt matter on the quality of theVideo Editing, it depends on the quality of what your showing in the video.

Great job!

05-29-2005, 03:29 PM
Thanks for all of your great comments...this is my favorite and most worked on/making progress park that I have ever made!

Here is a Constuctions Update:

As of 5-29-05.

The park is coming along really well. There are now two completed areas of the park (Hyper Hills Gap and Vortex Valley)

Vortex Valley features a massive stand-up coaster with tons of inversions and excitement! It also features several flat rides! It is located in the area behind Rebel (floorless coaster).

Hyper Hills Gap features a tall hyper coaster with tons of air time. The area also features several flatrides. It is located in the aread behind Midway Stormer (corkscrew coaster)

There is also a lay-down roller coaster that soars over the midway at speeds of almost 60 mph!

A new area of the park is in development. It will feature a massive race track named Southen Motor Speedway. Guest will be able to watch the races in the surrounding stands!

So, that is what is happening so far....guests totals are up to 839....the park gets laggy at certain times but is definatly still playable on my sorry intel integrated graphics card (I minimized the amount of trees and did more with rides, land, etc...)

So, pictures will be coming tommorrow or tuesday as I have a cook out to go to in about an hour!

Comments? Bad and Good are both accepted!

05-31-2005, 01:14 PM
UPDATE: 5-31-05: Some random pics

I have decided not to upload the 75+ pics that I would like yall to see....there are just so many but so little time! So, here are some random pics....you will notice that there are none of Southen Motor Speedway which will be in another update! Enjoy!;)

UPDATE: Southern Motor Speedway: 5-31-05
I'll be nice and give you two updates for the price of one!

Okay....as of right now, I am working on getting Southen Motor Speedway operational. The stands are not what I expected..I plan on possibly redoing them with a different type of path and making them bigger. The track is nice, ad is the wall. The lights are a pain....placing the lights in the ground is another thing...I do wish that your could save paths as a building...but it will not let me. I need spot lights too.

Southern Motor Speedway is not all about racing...as the largest holding capacity of any speedway, collisium, etc...it has the ability to host concerts and is also home to the local football team! Here are some pics!

Here is the homestraightaway at night.

Here is a pic from above (note: the flag is gone in the middle)

Here is a view of some of the stands (note: they have changed)

I do believe this is the first attempt to build a speedway w/stadium in RCT3. Correct me if I am wrong!

Please comment (remember two updates for the price of one!)

05-31-2005, 01:55 PM
BUMP!!!! Sorry....but just had to do it!!! So, any comments *waits for reply* lol! :( :haha:

PS. Don't forget to rate!

05-31-2005, 02:27 PM
I realy dont know why no one is replyíng. i rated 5 because i realy love this thread. you idea's are great and the realism is perfect.

you realy need a name on this forum to get some reply's thats bad. (that why i set up the topic PrOmOtE YoUr PaRk)

great luck with the park and replýs
i keep replying

maz :D

05-31-2005, 02:31 PM
Thanks for the comment Maz! I really am trying to go for a realisitc, sub tropical enviroment that computers could be able to play on...believe me, if it can be played on my computer then it will play on everybody elses!

05-31-2005, 02:38 PM
Can guests actually ride on the speedway or is it just for show? I see no entrance.

05-31-2005, 02:42 PM
Guest can actually race...I haven't put the enterance/exits as I am stil building the stadiums....plus, this area of the park isn't open yet....(here's a secret...this area of the park will feature not only a speedway put a huge racing/dueling wooden coaster!)

05-31-2005, 07:30 PM
Excellent pics coasterdude89, I really like the "speedway" idea, everything looks really nice so far & it looks like you still have lots of room to build in too. Hopefully the framerate monster doesn't get you before you can finish this one. Keep up the good work

05-31-2005, 08:19 PM
WHOOOOA! These pic are going me crazy! Especially Southern Motor Speedway! Who comes with me to the race!? Come on come on! I want ride it!

05-31-2005, 11:27 PM
Geez man, this park is looking NICE! You've achieved realism that's for sure. I'm surprised the framerate hasn't decreased with so much detail. Are you going to offer this park for download when finished???;) ;) ;)

06-01-2005, 12:58 PM
Yep...it will be offerred up for download when it's finished. I'm also surprised about the framrates....does anybody remember Hidden Hills: A Pirates Paradise...well I had to stop because of the framrates..even with only about 5 rides...but the trees/scenery was killer.

I think that the reason why the fps are still playable are because I haven't used as many trees/scenery. I am using terrain/textures as well as tons of rides. Thanks for all of the great comments. When I get soaked...I plan to make a water park for this one (on a seperate map of course) but it will still have the same name... More will be coming hopefully later today...I didn't even play it yesterday cuz I didn
t have time....I got off the internet and went to a party.

EDIT: Did I mention that this is being played on a sorry intel integrated graphics card? I switched to nightime the other day and it wasn't a slideshow (which it does when a message pops up) but Knock On Wood, I hope to actually finish this park!

06-01-2005, 03:25 PM
Well good luck man, I think you're very talented and I love the visuals so I can't wait to see the whole park.

06-02-2005, 01:19 PM

Well, it seems that the frames are decreasing exponentially, especially after I made the stands bigger at the speedway. I am happy to say that Southern Motor Speedway is complete. Here is a word of advice, never add the Karioki Concert, it kills the fps's. I ended up deleting it (it was in the infield) I built a huge racing/dueling wooden coaster and it kept crashing. Turns out that you can't connec one coaster to another, even tough they are the same type like in realy life and the the previous (the layout proved to much work to figure out how to reconnect to the original station. So, I had to delete it. I can;t rememeber if I have new screens, but later on there will be!

06-02-2005, 03:34 PM
For an exlcusive look inside Southern Plantations, visit Premiere Productions (http://home.earthlink.net/~coasterdude89/premiere_productions/index.html)

On the site is a description of all the coasters as well as downloads! Coming soon will be a download of all of the coasters in the park!

EDIT: How is the site? The white is a little hard on the eyes....but....I like it!

06-03-2005, 01:29 PM
UPDATE:6-3-05: Lag is here

I knew that it would come eventually...and it has! The lag is killer....I am thinking about closing the park (the 800 peeps can't be helping) so I can finish (I only have to finish the are around the speedway, build the stratcoaster at the end of the midway, build a new section, finish the midway, theme and then the park will be ready for download. For coaster downloads, visit the site and look under downloads. The coasters are all in compressed zipped folders for faster transfer! Enjoy!

Click here to visit the downloads section! (http://home.earthlink.net/~coasterdude89/premiere_productions/id9.html)

06-04-2005, 01:56 PM
I am going to go see if I can get in the park and work on it. I plan to go video card shopping tommorrow (I feel like a little kid before chirstmas) so if I do get one, hopefully it will allow me to finish and get it ready for download. After this project i plan to start a new park or start on my secret (well not secret if you looked in the coming soon section of my site)music video project!

Has anybody downloaded the coasters yet? How are they? Any comments? BuMpItY!!!

06-04-2005, 02:22 PM
So what kind of card do you have in mind? I'm about to download the coasters and try em' out.lol

talk to you soon.

06-04-2005, 02:37 PM
After some extensive research and with the help of the Skipper (without him I could have never have tried to get one) I plan on getting either a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or a 800 XL. I don't know whether it will be PCI, AGP, or PCIE since I haven't opened up the unit to look (will do so tonight though!) I also plan on getting some more RAM!

I hope that with the new memory and video card I will be able to complete this park and be able to see water (which I haven't yet since I have Intel Integrated Graphics) and see the details and the sky (I am so tired of turning off 32 Bit color) and bloom for my screenshots and videos! I can't wait for tommorrow!!!

Going to go look at prices on the net. The highest one of the 9800 costs the same as the XL 800 PCIE, but the XL800 is better and I am thinking about the future. I just hope I have a PCIE slot! My computer was built in 2003, so I am praying that it does!

06-04-2005, 02:42 PM

I am sad to say that I am postponing finishing this until I get my new card and memory (which I hope is tommorrow) But it wont be long..so be on the lookout!

EDIT: I don;t fee; like spending 10 minutes loading, turning off 32-bit color, and then another 10 minutes loading the park just for a slideshow!

06-04-2005, 03:38 PM
Wow I couldn't tell by your screenies that you didn't have any of these features activated! anyways you'll definitely enjoy the details of the waters reflections as well as the other graphical delights, you'll especially want to play Soaked with a new card too!!
I'm getting the GF 6800 ultra, finally! so i'm looking forward to some decrease in lagging myself. I hate upping $400 though! but my PC is my only indulgence soo...

Well I hope you get/enjoy your new card and trust me, you'll fall in love with this game all over again.

06-04-2005, 06:02 PM
Afer this park is completed I plan to beging working on my Hero music video (see sig) and then when Soaked! comes out I will stop working on Hero and begin working on Isle de Aqua (http://home.earthlink.net/~coasterdude89/premiere_productions/id10.html)

EDIT: Thanks....it's all in how you capture the screens to make a system look great! But..really....the late day sun does the trick (notice that there are no shadows, water, bloom, etc..)

I like already! Can't wait to see what creations and concepts we/you can dream-up when Soaked! is released. I'll definetly stay posted ready for Dwnld.

06-05-2005, 12:00 PM
Thanks....I really hope that my pc has a video card slot...it was built back in 03 but my parents built it down to a minimum (they think computers are only for schoolwork rofl.) So...I do hope that I have a PCI-E slot!

06-05-2005, 06:49 PM
I got a new video card. It's a Ati Radeon 9800 Pro AGP 128MB. It's not installed yet (it will be soon though (professionally since I have no clue how to))so I will finish this park really soon!

You're gonna pay a guy to put a video card in for you?

06-05-2005, 06:56 PM
I have no clue how to! (I am really bad at computer hardware). So yeah, I am..If I did it I would probably screw it up! Laugh if you want but I want to make sure that it is done right!

06-06-2005, 01:32 PM
UPDATE: 6-6-05: 3 Pics of Southern Motor Speedway!
I am still waiting for my new video card, so since I am waiting, I have decided to post the last pics that I took...the ones of Southern Motor Speedway!

And, as an added bonus, I am in the process of making a Stadium Tutorial for anybody who wants it!

06-06-2005, 02:20 PM
BUMP!!! I am so desperate!

06-06-2005, 02:24 PM
What card do you have now? stadium looks very nice and are you going to put some kind of a go kart track in the stadium. Or what ride are you goin to put there?

06-06-2005, 02:36 PM
I have a sorry Intel Integrated Grahics Chip...I am suprised that it can run this park. And there is a go cart track in the stadium! I have so many projects that I want to do...one is Isle de Aqua-which will be my first as soon as soaked comes out...after that I plan to do North Shore-which will be a massive resort on the North Shore of Hawaii...and I still have my Hero music video which I havent even begun to work on....but I am waiting until I get my new card up and running before starting those...so that is why I am doing the tutorial or I might just build lot of coasters (since yall say that I am a master) and release them for download.

06-10-2005, 12:48 PM
Sorry bout the lack of updates, next week I plan to finish the park and release it! So be on the lookout!

Such a shameless, sneaky bump! HeHeHe! :haha: :haha:

06-13-2005, 01:39 PM
Bad News!!!

I went to have my video card installed....When the dude was fixing to install it he said that there is no way that it would fit! I have a AGP slot..but we have a micro tower (it's just a tad bit slimer then a normal tower unit) So, it seems that I might never get to finish this park...so I have decided to release it. It is about 75% done. I never got to finish making the Speedway the way I wanted to...and one corner never got to begin construction...So, without further adue....here it Southern Plantation....

It is in a compressed zipped folder and is a park...not a scenerio!
The park is open and has about 800 peeps! But if it could run on mine with 800 (until I added the speedway) then I am sure that it can run on yours since I have Intel Integrated Graphics! Enjoy and feel free to comment!

Click here to download Southern Plantation (http://home.earthlink.net/~coasterdude89/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/southern_plantationdat.zip)

06-13-2005, 02:32 PM
lol i am downloading now. cool that i am on the site just like you see on the back of the dvd's. i am still with that..... your the master at building coasters!

great work and thanky you for sharing.
why not make a goodbye movie or something? with all like gray screens

thanks again

06-13-2005, 02:50 PM
I have a movie in mind using a song, but I don;t know if I want ot do it one this park. Do you know the song "The Time of My Life" (remember Dirty Dancing...the ending song) Well I have been pondering the idea of making a video of RCT3 with that song...but can't decide what I want to do...I am was just so excited bout the video card...luckily I found out that my parents were looking to buy a new computer anyway..since they have not been satisfied with this one...they were looking at a Dell XPS..that thing is so awesome! I think that are going for a notebook (laptop) since they are faster and less wires to replace our Desktop.

06-13-2005, 03:35 PM

06-16-2005, 02:37 PM
So, how is it?

06-17-2005, 05:24 PM
Its pretty good... A bit cluttered for my tastes but I love your coasters. I wish you could have finished it tho. Great Job anyways

06-17-2005, 05:26 PM

And welcome to the boards!

06-21-2005, 05:12 AM
Looks great, love the first coaster especially! but no images are appearing on the last few posts?!

06-21-2005, 12:40 PM
Yep.....that string of no images is because I uploaded them to Premiere RCT3X (R.I.P.) and when I had to shut it down....the images were lost......the pics were of Hyper Hills Gap.....and some other stuff.....thanks for the compliment!

06-27-2005, 11:25 AM
Update: 6-27-05

I have an announcment to make:

As this was announced yesterday in our newsletter, Southern Plantation has unvieled plans to build a water park! The will be on the beach less than one mile away from the main park! More info is soon to be released as well as so first pics of the park on the site and here!

(the park will not be featured in this thread but in another thread!)

11-19-2005, 01:04 PM
u should really download pumper's (Jcat) SteelWorx. they'll give your coasters some more realistic "pizazz" if u know what i mean

11-19-2005, 01:08 PM
Not much heard from coasterdude since June, doubt he'll see your reply real soon. Pleas check the last post date before you reply.

11-19-2005, 01:11 PM
whoa. i might-as-well just delete the question :(

11-19-2005, 02:07 PM
^I have been around...just havem't really made any parks that I like. I have started on at least 30 or so but always hated how they turned out.

And I have downloaded his steel works set.

12-28-2006, 09:53 PM
Dude this park is wicked! Keep up the good work! ( dude you are like wicked good at making parks :]

12-28-2006, 10:48 PM
I'm not trying to stir anything up
