Press Release due date : 24.06.05 :D

06-20-2005, 09:35 AM
is this a game or real?

06-20-2005, 09:50 AM
It's a RCT3 Resort I'm building now!

Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment for the first press release flyer ( above ) because I'm making a website that will promote the resort in a 'real-life' style. It will have images of the resort, ride reviews, a Resort Event Calendar, booking information, news and ride rumours...

I'm working on a massive coastal map 252x252 that has highway connections, on-site hotel, rail links, parking lots a golf course and beach areas. The main park will be divided into the theme park and water park ( yay Soaked! ).

Screenshots and the website link will be up on the Official Opening Weekend Fri July 1st - Mon July 4th!!! :D

06-20-2005, 10:05 AM
nice, looking forwards to this

took me a while to twig what that inverted coaster in the image though, at first i was confused, because i knew no Universal parks have an inverted coaster that colour, but then i realised what it was (silver bullet, yes?)

06-20-2005, 10:13 AM
Spot on Boris! There's no getting one over on an eagle-eyed coaster fanatic like you is there! :haha: I plan on having real screen shots of the park in this sort of format when it is at the stage to show.:D

But for the real challenge....name the resort in the middle bottom image ( 3rd image from the left )......?

06-20-2005, 10:36 AM
Hey Digi, is this the park you started working on way back in November?

06-20-2005, 10:50 AM
Yup! Sure is Tmul!

But with Soaked! being released in the UK on Friday, I can see a whole weekend of feverish water park building ahead of me!!!

I have basically remodelled the entire park infrastructure to allow there to be 4 main areas - the theme park, the water park, the beach area and the nightlife walkway. I've been sketching like mad, working on the landscape and planning all of the main areas out first. It is modelled on the whole Universal style of parks, which I love - and hopefully the website will be good fun to do as well - Im even going to have a webcam section so that you can view the park online!

06-20-2005, 11:41 AM
Sweet, I was wondering what ever happened to that park, it was really beautiful!

06-20-2005, 11:49 AM
Thanx man!

As a lot of peeps around here know from my past parks, I love concentrating on making my landscapes as gorgeous as my rides. If you work on making your landscape as interesting as the ride layouts then you're halfway there to making something special...

This will also be my first official RCT3 public park, I've been waiting for waterfalls, water rides, tunnels and extra theming to be available before getting stuck into my first big resort.

Can't wait for you all to see it!

06-20-2005, 11:51 AM
Edit : First official poster ( above ) has been updated with ride images.

06-20-2005, 12:16 PM
LOL! You definately had me fooled! I thought you were showing an advertisement for a real park! :haha:

06-20-2005, 12:18 PM
Is that Krakken?

06-20-2005, 12:37 PM
Your_name_here it is! I liek the sound of this park alot, 1 tip though, dont make it all on the same map! The lag would be impossible! I suggest, that the Hotel, Gold course, etc go on different maps to the main park, that way it will lower the Lag way down!

06-20-2005, 04:15 PM
Wow I can't wait to see this park! Was there another thread a long time ago? I would love to see it. *searches*

06-20-2005, 04:22 PM
This is gonna be so cool!! Can't wait.

06-21-2005, 05:15 AM
Thanx for the enthusiastic reply peeps! :D

I need to know if anyone can make me an imported object for the entrance to the park. The world-famous Universal globe.....

06-22-2005, 05:57 PM
How did you make the flyer dude ! :D ?

06-23-2005, 04:32 AM
Sawyer - made it with good old Photoshop CS ;) Got a lot more where that came from as well, the website is in the works...

Boris - yeah its the Hollywood one, I prefer the Orlando one actually, but don't think anyone can ( as yet ) make the object for me...:(

1st Publicity Construction Shots!!!

A construction crew flew over the new Universal site yesterday morning to take some exclusive shots of the new park! For your enjoyment we give you some insider views of the building of this new fun-filled wonderland...

06-23-2005, 06:19 AM
thats some damned nice landscaping you got there
is that a hotel or just a large palace thing?

06-23-2005, 06:27 AM
thanx Boris :) Still got the construction crew in working on it....there's a lot to be done - you should see the blueprints!!!

The large building is the resort hotel - this will link onto the water park area you can see on the right of the entrance - the large lake in front of the hotel will offer an outdoor restaurant , with boat trips up and down the lake to the 'Surf' beach area...the mountains / hills next to the lake will be where all of the waterslides will slope down from - straight into the huge wave pool with waterfalls below! The theme park will be on the left of the entrance, with the City Walk straight down the middle of the Ocean Boulevard walkway...

Where's my copy of Soaked! Wahoooooo!

06-23-2005, 06:31 AM
...Oh, and as you can see I've had to use the 'Saturn' scenery item to replace the statue where my 'Universal' Globe should be....how cool would it be if I could get one of those in there....?

06-23-2005, 07:06 AM
Looks good, but I don't know the park...

08-19-2005, 04:23 PM
This park looks pretty cool, the image of the waterfall comming out of the wall at night is very "swish".

not to be nit-picky, but as soon as i looked at the flyer i simply thought "Kraken", not becuase of the colourings of the coaster, but because you can see the seaworld logo on the front bumper! I think it would be better if you got rid of that, just to make it seem a bit more "real"

Can't wait to see it completed, it already looks really nice!
