Thanks for the comment on my picture. In all honesty, doubtful. I don't think I'm going to show that park, it was just for fun. :) But trust me, if I ever make a park I'm planning on showing, I'll always CS support the coasters!

Isn't Vanilla Hills fun Tulie? I tried once too, I probaply never had that much fun in RCT3 before. I guess it's because you have to think of other things such as making money, hire staff and place the rides well.

Nice Griffon.
I must say, the rock work looks very good. Normally, when people use that set they tend to make highly unrealistic formations; you haven't. My only suggestion there would be to bring in another rock type.

Really though, the drawback to the park is that it almost screams square (or rectangle, which ever you prefer).
That coaster begs to have a little freedom, but you've encased it in a fairly tight space. I'd like to see more work on the diagonal, getting off the bland grid the game creators cursed us with.

I was just experimenting with a 35x35 park. I wanted a roller coaster in the park, but with the little space I had planned (you can see the entrance and the planned food court and paths) I somehow fit it in and there it is...

As for the rocks, I think it's more realistic to only have 1 type of rock, in real life they don't have all kinds of rocks in a park, like people that use ShyGuy's rocks, for some reason whenever someone uses Das' rocks they're expected to use all three textures.

:)

I typically use two types, for contrast.
I see about the park. Personally, I hate confining myself to park dimensions, but I understand completely.

Thanks for the reply to the pic, I know I'm pretty bad at editing pictures, so I gave it to GMM, hes a good guy, spending a bit of his time doing this for me, as well I'm glad you like the idea. It's part of this new Park/Zoo I'm creating where I put in different things in glass containers as a display case. (Park Inspector, Giant Turtle, Belly Dancers, etc.)

Guys those pics look amaxing, keep it up.

Ive really been gone for too long. Losthought thats an incredible pool complex youve created. Not fully sure about it being a wave pool but it does make a great swimming pool.

BTW how did you get the fencing on around the pool to go away so that it looks like you can just walk on?

Haha and Coca-Cola, I cant promise anything on that park but some experimenting and some rides are surely on its way in the file.

Not my best but one of my most unique i guess?

LostThought15

Gotta agree there. The bit on the right is truly impressive, but the building is not as inspiring. It's not so much as it's bland. It just lacks the feel of a water park. It's low to the ground and fairly spread out. It needs a more personal touch. I'd say individual ticket booths and a view of what lies inside.

Mountainman, I'm glad to actually see someone use those pieces and they work perfectly for the architecture.
However, I strongly dislike the coloring.
That one section is an overload and looks like a haphazard attempt at realism. Sorry if I'm blunt, but I just didn't find another way to put it.

Liam- that's a nice stage you have there! Fireworks or waterworks?

Drowning | Star- nice combination of lighting effects!

Grrt- if you remove the interface (David Walsh and CTRL+U) and don't show the incomplete area it helps the picture a lot! It still looks like a nice mainstreet, though.

I like the effect on both of these pictures.

CS stands for custom scenery (user-created content). Some use it, some don't. It certainly isn't a requirement.

LostThought: You know how I feel about that waterpark, it is simply superb! I haven't been posting much on the thread, but I've been following along and its all top notch work, very realistic and really imaginative! Fantastic!

RocknGuitar: The shot is outstanding! Where are those trees from?! They're fantastic! The castle looks really well made aswell, not too big so that it overshadows everything else, its just right. The only part I'm not sure about its the haunted style trees in the background or the paving between them...

Loubauder: Two nice shots! Just watch the repetition though, you've used one tree and one bush, you need to mix it up if you want it to be realistic, and also make use of the terrain textures the game provides you with! Get some muddy textures down by the waters edge!

Simodavid: I just wish this shot was more than a teaser! It looks fantastic! Realy well thoughout, great architecture, great signage, nice planters, I can't wait to see it!

DreamTheater2005: Looking very nice! I'm glad to see your park going in a different direction whilst still suiting the older architectural style of the park! THe wooden beam work is great on this picture!

SVT 305: Such a fantastic shot! You must have a very nice graphics card! :p The little details are what make this picture great, the little rope fence, the boxes and barrels, the foliage and rockwork in the back is superb, great picture!

Belotto33: Continuing the line of great pics on this page! This hotel looks magnificent! Very grand and very detailed! All the little details like the flower boxes and towers are what make this great, amazing! =)

Simodavid: Another great picture, I cannot wait to see this park hit the forum! ;D

Keep up the great pics everyone! =)

Way to steal the page with just one shot.

The best part is, generally I wouldn't like that picture. You have a gigantic Atlantean stucture, covered with the generally over-used vaulting set. However, you've managed to draw the focus away from the tower to where our attention belongs: the coaster.

It also begs the question, 'where can we see more?'

Terraform,

That is by far one of my favorite pictures I've seen in this thread. I have a couple others, and yours just made it on to the list.

The best screen shot EVER!

It was from 100 yards on a terribly windy day, and I forgot to bring my glasses!

Now, show me a picture of a Crazy Golf Course, or YOU'RE NEXT!

Holy Cow masked! Your last picture is incredible! The way you used shyguy's rocks looks really realistic, with the weeds and pines mixed in, and the structure in the back is stunning!

Very nice, masterofconflict.

Terraform, I'm not sure that necessarily belongs here. It's a nice photo-uh... thing, but it's more of a teaser than a real shot.

Also, when I think of people on here, it's not so much attitude, but building style. Both you and MGP tend to utilize the in-game stuff, adapted to their purpose, and that shot just looks a lot like some of his work. Don't take it personally.

Mostly I just use the stuff ...thats ...in the game...when I play.
And the fact Is , I did change my name . Some people put a label on me that was unwarrented . And it has been nice to start fresh without people giving me any prejudgement. I just robbed myself of the Joy of the 5,000th post thread. You can call this my 'Coming out of the Closet' post.(LOL)It's funny cause this is my POST #159

TY .... I have been nothing but helpful to ppl on this forum for the last 2 months(with a couple of exceptions) And it has been nice not having this MGP's an ashwipe attitude thrown at me from all side's.
I have not been found out that I am he for an hour now , and here come's the attitude again. Pfffft. What is your real grudge you are holding onto PPL???
edit;NVM ...I see Why AC is still holding the grudge, by his arguements in the DBZ CC...The label has been placed on ...and can't be removed.

Agreed. Leave the RCT politics out of this.

Glad to see this thread is getting back on track.
SW, that looks very nice, but I'm afraid the building itself is rather uninteresting. The roof is flat, as well as well as the overall facade.
I would suggest moving section a half tile forward or backward for more contrast.

Glad to hear that not everyone is too put off...I have made a rule to stay out of the CC ,when I made this name... 'PERIOD'...I am here because I still play this game alot , and am making new stuff all the time.(CS) Alot of the sets I was working on as MGP went unreleased because of the hogwash.
There are alot of great creators that have come here recently , I am really loving the new styles and Idea's . Keep it up:up:

And I knew you couldn't/wouldn't stay away MGP...I too refuse to enter the CC after all that crap...but that still doesn't change what happened and all that jazz...that being said, my thoughts of your actions in that situation have nothing to do with my thoughts on your skill in RCT3. Unfortunately, most people don't/can't separate the two...while I respect you as a valuable, contributing player, it's hard to just forget that whole ugly situation. That's my 2 cents.
