Here's a couple really old artsy ones from the archives of my C: drive.

Wasn't really planning on this shot, so I didn't crank up my graphics or remove the interface, but the interface is so small here, I didn't care to remove, so sorry.

Rocks, vines, wagi's thatch roofs, MrPki's (I think?) tunnel set, and some pieces that you and I have. ;)

An honorable picture being destroyed by an utmost dishonorable creature.

LOL! Don't go pissin' off Godzilla. He/She (whatever it is) don't take kindly to diisrepect.

^^That is beyond awesome

That's what Godzilla likes to hear! I'm sure he/she will spare your parks. :D

Eww, that photoshoping is kind of lacking. It looks more like pop are rather then godzilla is really there.

I know he/she's not there. You know he/she's not there! It doesn't matter if it's perfect! It's the concept that counts. But at least I can SPELL! :up:

And next week, I'll try to get a tornado in a picture, sorta like the Wizard of Oz and Dorothy. "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!" :D

Seriously, some natural disasters would be welcome in this game. There is no way to lose a scenario. You just give up. But most of the time you just hang in there, and hang and hang and hang, spending more time than is good for you. But if you got a message that says "You lose, FOOL! Godzilla is coming to destroy your pitiful endeavor!", then that would give you incentive to get it done and get it over with. Besides! Who is cuter and more cuddly than he/she/it? Freddy Kruger? I don't think so! I'd like to have Godlzilla come stomp on my park. The only thing I can do is remove all the food and drinks, the toilets, and fire all the janitors. THAT IS FUN, but Godzilla would be more fun, and that's what it's all about! :noob:

here is a lil teaser for the X-dr in the cathedral, this is the massive reception room. The track flows around all the columns feeling your going to hit them, just like a ghost flying flying around.

I just gotta finish the walls and do some torch lighting, its gonna be pretty dark in their. the blue light i put in just to let you see the track more. gonna use some haunting scenery. just a lil part of the track going thru the whole compound

What does this "Anti-aliasing" thingy actually does? Heard of it so many times and seen that option in games but dn really know what it does to the graphics of the game

Anti-aliasing smooths edges between colors, making the edges appear much nicer. You should turn this on. It slows the graphics rendering only slightly compared to other optional settings, and it is well worth using.

If you want to see what it does, use any drawing application such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or even Windows Paint, select the circle making tool, and turn off anti aliasing. Make a black circle on a white background. Make another with antialiasing on. Then zoom in really close and look at the edges. On the non-antialiased circle, you'll see jagged edges that are pure black and pure white. On the antialiased circle, the edges will be blended a litlle, making a small area (usually one pixel wide) that is gray between the black foreground and white background.

Antialiasing takes little processing power compared to other graphic setting options (I forget what they are called) found in games. If you use only one option, use this one. All hard edges look much nicer. Soft edges (colors are similar) are only slightly effected if at all. The increase in processing time is minimal. You'll like the way this performs at a very reasonable cost in rendering time (about 3-5%). If you're getting 30 frames per second without antialisiang on, you'll end up with 29 frames per second with it on.

JR, you Wolf's Reign is looking good! Very good! Yellow, that cathedral is absolutely great! Compared to those, I GOT NUTHIN'!

At this point, I'm completely disappointed. I've been working on one scenario for two weeks and have managed to screw it up. I let the clock run while re-doing the terraforming after geting all the challenges, goals, and inventions nicely polished. You can't set the clock back! Now it starts with a challenge already in progress and a VIP in your park. I am NOT going to remake the land again.

This sucks! The game sucks. I suck. I'm tired of this! I'm moving on to something that's more my speed -- either The Mario Brothers or Worms!

Just open it in Scenario Editor.
There is an option to roll the clock back there.

Rolling the clock back doesn't remove peeps from your park or challenges that have started. I tried that.

can you edit an existing park with the scenerio editor

for example. add weather to it or even make the park bigger without losing your current rides and such??

Nope. You cannot open games that are in progress in the editor. You can only open parks that were saved from within the scenario editor.

You save it in the pull down as 'Parks"
then you can open it in a Sandbox.

What pull down? I see no such pull down.

This is all my fault. I didn't save iterations of the scenario. I kept saving it under the same name.

The most painful thing is making water rides. I had to move three lakes when i remade the land.

Lakes cannot be edited once a ride is in it. You cannot edit the edges. You cannot change the bottom. You cannot drop a waterfall into it or out of it, once a ride is in. Once you have a ride in a lake, the whole lake is treated like a ride. To make any edits to the lake, you have to remove the ride first.

Here's some lake/water ride making advice --

When you ride a ride, the camera changes to the freelook camera, which is wide angle. This makes everything look farther away than the standard and advanced camera. Place your track as close as possible to scenery that you want your peeps to see.

Some scenery will place a platform underneath it if it is above the land but still underwater. These include the Adventure themed 'Galleon, the Mayan statues, and the Shark Attack ride enhancement. Here are the heights for these if you want to include them without having a platform under them (which looks stoopid).

Galleon - one tick below the water's surface
Shark attack - three ticks below the water's surface
Mayan statues and other Generic statues - One tick below the water surface or even with the surface (one tick below looks best in my opinion).

A water ride's queue and exit path need to be level at the water's edge, or you'll end up with stupid looking paths. Make sure you make the land edge level by smooting up to the lake's edge with the terrain shaping smooth tool, 'flatten to ride heights' or you'll have trouble making convincing looking approaches for these paths.

When making a water transport ride, make the two stations run in the same direction -- either clockwise or counter clockwise, or you risk having the carts run through each other (there is no collision detection). Once your stations are in, test for collisions. You can avoid these by placing rocks or other scenery in the lake to divert one or both boat routes (the 'to' route or the 'return' route). You can also make islands to avoid these collisions, but you'll have to remove the transport ride first. Such islands can be level with the water or one tick below the water line. It is far easier to use scenery items such as rocks.

Illustration of two stations that are correctly made:
station --->
<--- station

Wrongly made:
station -->
station -->

When making a 'regular' water ride, include track. This keeps the queues from becoming too long by regulating the time a peep will stay on the ride. However, two rides lend themselves very well to no track. These are the Jet Skis and the Windsurfer. Keep in mind, though, that each track piece increases the ride's operation cost. Keep your tracks reasonable in length or the cost to operate them will drive the price of the ride up. If the ride is too expensive, peeps won't ride it.

You can 'force' peeps to use these low intensity rides by setting the average intensity that peeps want in the visitor's panel of the scenario editor. Set the intensity between 30 and 33%, and you'll get plenty of peeps to ride the water rides. However, once you get more intense rides in your park, the water rides will lose their attractiveness. At an average intensity of 30-33%, peeps will still ride very intense rides, but fewer peeps will. Your best bet is to keep your coasters' intensity at about 5 if you set the average desired intensity to 30-33%.

ABSOLUTELY - do make lakes. They are important to making a convincing park! No good park is without a lake or two with water rides in them.

Here's a decent looking island that was in a water transport ride. The example shown is from a test. You see canoes in this shot, but this island was used in a lake that had an Airboat transport.

http://www.iinet.com/~lengo/graphics/IndianIsle.jpg

Water rides can be decorated very nicely. I do not understand why I see frew screen shots of these (except for the fact that they are extremely difficult to build).

Oh, nice editing TPN! Your pics are great too, dockers!

Just one idea for our SS '09 park that didn't totally make it to the final park because of lack of space.

im gonna be doing alot more pictures in the ceiling seperated by wood pieces to make it look more appealing.

But here is a famous picture up on the ceiling of the great hall. If your on the loading area of the coaster you can look up and see it :D

That thing outsizes the original, which is just a tiny portion of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, by at least 4 to 1. :haha:

Great work, though. Is that coaster inside that amazing church you've been teasing us with, or is the similarity just coincidence?

ya that picture is a lil bit on the bigger size compared to the sistine chapels lol.

The coaster will be going thru the inside of the chapel as well, the start of it is in the great room that has alot of columns for big occasions, then it will snake down thru the chapel and thru underground crypts as well as thru a cemetary. Its definantly not a fast ride I used the constant speed x-dr. Guess its more of a disney haunted mansion feel to it. I might try to incorporate an actual coaster in it some how. not sure yet how I will. this is more for looks then an actual thrill type park.
