I saw for a while on this forum a GREAT recreation of MGM studios by JASaxman_cm

But why not making a recreation of Walt disney studios in Paris ?
Since I'm french (but I'm living quite far from Paris...), I decided to recreate it !

So here is the first pic of the entrance, and the front of "Studio 1"

http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/1803/studio11cm.th.jpg (http://img168.imageshack.us/my.php?image=studio11cm.jpg)

Looks Amazing!

I used paint (err, well, in fact i used flash, but i used a painting software) to add walt disney studios and the number "1" on the studio !

But that picture is amazing. Your recreation will end up looking better than the real thing!

Romency, I'm a huge fan of yours and this looks like it's going to be an amazing recreation. The entrance screenshot made my jaw drop. I can't wait to see more!

Romency
07-05-2005, 03:23 AM
Yes I think it won't be too long to recreate :D but I spent one afternoon making this, so it could be long thought...

Who said Paris' studios are better than Orlando's ?
Maybe the entrance looks more impressive, but the park is much better in Orlando, Paris park looks empty !!

Yes, I will add the ToT, and even Toon Studios which will come before the ToT !

And Thanks again for all your answers !

Antronoid
07-05-2005, 03:32 AM
i agree that the paris studios is very empty but it's a very new park (sort of) so it has a lot of room for expansion and a good excuse to why it's so empty;) but yeah, the MGM studios in orlando is much better atm

Willyfan2bibi
07-05-2005, 05:42 AM
Amazing! But I've already told you on FRCT3 forum, Romency. :D

Yes, you're right if you say Walt Disney Studios (Paris) are less good than MGM Studios (Orlando), but I think WDS will be better in the futur, because new attractions and lands are coming soon (TOT, Toon Studios, and maybe more!).

OMG! That is amazing! Where did you get all that custom scenery, such as those blocks around the trees and those pylons around the entrance?? The inside/entrance looks so realistic, it is perfect, I mean you could believe you were there! So many recreational parks have come out recently, and they are all so amazing!

Romency
07-05-2005, 09:28 AM
The only custom scenery is cafeen's letters !!!!
All is in soaked !
But I just use it in a different way ! (blocks around thetrees are in the office walls)
I also incline the ground, place my walls, then I fill the hole on the ground with terrain blocks !
Look at the earfell tower supports !

07-05-2005, 09:43 AM
OMG - I never thought of doing that! I feel so stupid. Duh.

Romency, for that entrance I have to give you a 10  , its lovely, the building done with the terrain is sensational and the earfell tower is very originaly done (how have you done the large diagonal sticks for the tower).
I hope to see more of your work soon.

live_the_thrill
07-05-2005, 10:59 AM
Speaking of those diagonal sticks, which theme are they in? Also how did you make that arch over the gate, and where are those diagonal sticks located which are on the gate?

Actually it's FENCES that bend according to the terrain. Walls stay straight no matter what. But I still don't know how he did the effling tower. How he made the terrain dissappear after adding the fences. Could you try explaining a little better for us Romency? Or maybe use pictures? I would really love to know! :D

perhaps he used those terrain peices in that one scenery section with the tunnel entrances.

I'm proud of you guys !
I haven't been posting for a while since I wasn't there, but now that I'm back I see that you've understood my trick !

Actually I put the terrain in angle first. Then I place a fence on the angled-side of this part of terrain and finally I place a "terrain block" like someone said !

For the tower, I simply used different fences (the kind of fences that showed your owed land) and i also made a wide angle !

I apologize for not being really clear, but it wasn't easy for me to explain how I did since I don't know the names of themes, of pieces of theme, ine the english version of the game

A little stumper for everyone.

How many "Rides" are at Disneyland Park?

Romency
07-09-2005, 12:53 AM
in Pais ? I'd say 14 rides

Space mountain
Orbitron
Autopia
Star Tour

Peter Pan
Blanche neige
Pinnochio
Dumbo
Casey Jr
Le pays des contes de fées

Big Thunder mountain
Phantom Manor

Indiana Jones et le temple du péril
Les pirates des caraïbes

By the way, I can consider that Armageddon is a "ride" too, In the Walt Disney studios
But Cinémagique is a show, just like Honey I shrunk the audience !

Dare I say it? I think this has to be the best recreation of a park to date! The amount of detail is intense, those studios look awesome, I may need to copy that idea;) People would just do the outside and leave it as that, but no, you take it one step further! How is this a 4star thread:confused:

Romency
08-14-2005, 03:06 PM
The flying carpets are difficult to recreate !!!
The right attraction isn't avaliable in RCT3, moreover the large "Agrabah Pannel" around it is kinda tough to make...

But I managed to do that :

I think 'Flying Carpets of Agraba' is perfect.

The actual cars and structure of the ride looks...thin....but gets the right picture across of what you were trying to do.
And the backdrop you have created yourself is great.
The sceery is nice too.

Keep up the good work!!

First I'd like to thank everyone for the feedback !
Then, I have to say that I moved Flying Carpets to the right, so as to have enough room to make Mickey's Caravane, and the future Toon Studios !
I also modified a bit the theming, like a chesspiece for the genius, and more studio stuff right in front of the attraction, i also added hences !

And Finally, I started Cinemagique !

Here is the inside of the building, as you can see I used two 3D cinemas !

I've already done the RNRC track layout, but the real fun will be creating the laser show that will be inside with the coaster, and with klinn framework, it will look so real !!!
Moreover, does someone here except park novice (who has got so much work, I saw on his thread... ) make walls ? Cause I'll really need the huge RNRC sign, and the CD which is near !

I's just starting Television production tour, but I've never been inside it, so I will just mark the room it will take and start the two restaurant : Rendez-vous des stars & Backlot Express, and then, I'll start the RNRC !

EDIT : my version of RNRC bugs, I will certainly use Nboy's ! I PMed him !

Your track is really good, but I had to change some details (in oredr to place scenery and have a longer launch !)

It's really difficult to recreate the RNRC, I've nearly finished the station (I don't work in my park, I'll save the coaster and the scenery, and I'll put the whole thing in WDSwhen it's finished !)

Romency! The lasers were brillant, but I have to say this (sorry, but it is constructive criticism):

I think the station and the layout is a little off. Im sorry but I am going on memory, I have ridden the one at MGM and Paris, and I think the station is the same on both, and I am sure that in the blast bit, there is some greeny, which JASaxman_cm has done. I remeber there being a kind of shallow roof just above the station too, and I dont remeber that large operating booth. For the layout I remeber the first bit well, but I think after the brakes it is a little more smoother (if you changed Nboys original layout here), I dont remeber that tight turn, or that s-bend, I know it is impossible to accuratly recreate due to the limitations, but it does seem a little off.

Sorry to be so picky, but you have one of the best recreations I have ever seen not only on RCT 3 but better than 1 and 2, so why not give it a bit more;)

Will have your signs done by Saturday. Hope you can wait that long as, you seem to be ploughing ahead full steam. Fantastic job so far, just hope the signs can live upto the rest of the park.

to Live the thrill :

Some greeny ? I don't understand (I'm french) Some greenery ? If it's that, no there is not in Paris, the stations are quite different.
The shallow roof ! Yes I forgot that, thank you !
The large operation booth is there in Paris, but there is nobody in. It's just theming, you can here voices from a sound operator, and you can see black and white screens inside it !
About the layout : Nboy's layout was really good, I just changed it in order to place the scenery, and for the 5 trains not to stop in block-brakes (so I made some parts of the ride longer than others)
But don't worry, that was just a test ! that is not the RNRC you will find in my WDS ! (it's in a new sandbox) I will keep some ideas and change others ! So thank you for your constructive criticism (like you said, you were right !)

To park Novice :

Don't worry, the park is far from being finished ! I can wait !
By he way I will ask you more logos (RNRC's for instance !), but you can take your time and do all you have to do, i'm not hurried !

To splah :

Actually I build with the game in pause. When I wanna take a video, I put the RNRC in test, the laser show in test too, and then I remove the pause, so they are synced !
But they do not stay synced for every ride, unfortunately !

To everyone :

Thanks for the feedback !

Thats ok, I thought they were the same, as for greenery, that is like shrubs, bushes, that grass wall, etc.

Good thing about lengthning the track, get the pause bit first, great idea!

Wow Romency, That video is bloody brilliant.

It looks like you have the ride identical to the real thing.

I especially love the 3...2...1 and the rings that go around the track...They are brilliant.

I was also wondering, I sent you a couple of PM's but no replies...I don't suppose you could reply as they are kind of important??
Lol...Thanks in advance!!

Is there any W.I.P. on this project? It hassen't been updated for a while. The work done is fantastic, judging from the pics posted. I'd realy like to see this project to be continued.
