Please note that this project is still far from completion. However, I haven't been here in a while and many have been getting restless for a picture or something.

Currently, I've been working on a feature-length screenplay that has been occupying most of my time, and so therefore, haven't been able to work on this as much. But, nevertheless, here's your first pic. Hopefully, a final pic and video will be available soon.

07-05-2005, 03:12 PM
Ok. That was like ... very cool!

Kinda caught me by surprise with the brick wall... and I think I counted two zero-G rolls in there?

The scenery was very nicely done, especially with all the smoke. Good sound effects and music combination.

All in all.. VERY COOL!

07-05-2005, 03:21 PM
That vid literally left me speachless :D, infact im undergoing surgery to talk in these forums right now

07-05-2005, 03:25 PM
That brickwall was a master stroke. Brilliant mate. :D

07-05-2005, 03:43 PM
yeah very nice very nice = )

07-05-2005, 04:06 PM
just saw your video and i have to say WOW that was great i loved the scenery it really made it feel like fear factor and that brick wall was Genious work keep it up and looking forward to your JAWS ride. i tried to make it USF style but the darn boat kept going in the opposite direction as my layout.

07-05-2005, 04:24 PM
Wow...what a video! :D I think the sounds are what put it over the top, especially that *whoosh* sound you hear when you fly by the buildings on that first drop. Excellent job and very creative theming! Keep up the great work! :)

07-05-2005, 05:07 PM
Great ride! The brick wall was awesome!

07-06-2005, 11:20 PM
hey guys, thanks for all the comments... Fear Factor is complete and set in it's spot, I'm probably going to start work on either JP River, Jaws, or Mummy... not sure which, you guys decide...

as for Jaws... it'll be a unique thing. I kept asking during the beta for the water-based transport to have an actual track so i can plant ride events. The people in the community were less than responsive about it, so I'm trying something different. I'm gonna put a small track ride in the middle of Amity Island that will just keep setting off ride events. Maybe that will work, it won't be perfect, but close enough....

anywho... keep the comments coming...

07-06-2005, 11:24 PM
I'd like to see a Jaws ride, next! or the mummy, whichever one is best for you.

07-06-2005, 11:27 PM
ive worked on the Mummy before, actually during Beta, it's what i was working on. although, i've noticed on these forums that people are a little tired of Mummy... but what the hey...

...the next project is...

actually... i'll let you decide...

cool video!
Very good sound with the video and i like you're 'realworld' based coaster and environment.

Will there also be a high def. video available in the future?

07-07-2005, 11:26 AM

07-07-2005, 11:31 AM

07-07-2005, 11:34 AM
Fear Factor the ride is awesome...you get props for that. I especially loved when you hit the brick wall...i got scared. Keep up the good work that would definatley scare the crap out of me in real life. Good Job

07-07-2005, 11:37 AM
Whatever ride you choose to start, you should start it quick!!! I can't wait

07-07-2005, 11:56 AM
That ride was incredible! GENIUS

07-07-2005, 12:19 PM
The fear factor ride is my favorite...

07-07-2005, 12:48 PM
It was a pretty good coaster, I liked the special effects, but it was way too unrealistic. It was way too fast and incredibly unrealistic.

07-07-2005, 12:59 PM
Nice coaster, even though it was REALLY fast. great scenery too.

07-07-2005, 02:04 PM
Fast, but Wonderful!

07-07-2005, 03:01 PM
Okay, it's official...

After looking over the poll results, 50% of you want Jurassic Park: River Adventure to be the next attraction...

wish me some serious luck... if the Giant Flume Ride was able to coast along with the current of the water, this would be so much easier. But, alas, I'm stuck with "trough-above-the-water" Splash Boats... work with what you got, i suppose.

so, the next ride UNDER CONSTRUCTION at Universal Studios Adventure will be...

Jurassic Park: River Adventure

07-07-2005, 04:14 PM
Awesome! Will u ALWAYS poll us? That was fun. U polling us and then doing wat we want! Ur decision tho.

Amazing ride, your mind needs examined coming up with a masterpiece like that wall though.

07-07-2005, 05:08 PM
That wall idea was pure genius! Talk about whiplash, loved that special effects, what software you use to do them?

07-07-2005, 05:10 PM
Great video editing! Loved the idea of the ride... the brick wall was an incredible effect... but I think I need a neck brace! :haha: Are those sold in the gift shop off the exit? :haha:

07-09-2005, 11:16 PM
Are you still working on this?

07-10-2005, 12:00 AM

If that's what you guys want... I have no problem with that. It seemed to work this time. Plus, it allows the guests/audience (you) choose what you want to see....

07-14-2005, 02:33 PM
WOW - I just watched the Fear Factor video!

I loved the sound effects and the editing and the special effects and the ride. Yep it was all good. Nice job

07-14-2005, 10:32 PM
WOW!!!! Fear Factor is awesome!! The ride, concept, and layout are all really fun. This was a great idea for a ride. I do have to say it probably could've use a few brakes along the way to control the speed a little. I also think the turn right after the zero-G roll would've been a little smoother if it was banked. All in all tho, I loved it! I hope to see a higher quality version of the ride when the park's further along.

I hear ya...:( I have a bayou ride that would be so much sweeter if it could sit at water level instead of riding above it. I haven't given up hope yet, though!

By the way... Good job with the Universal Studios Adventure logo and the visual FX in the video editting. They look great!

Well good luck with the park, and Have Fun!!!!:D

07-14-2005, 11:04 PM
The FF Video was major hot (literally). LOL Seriously though, that was so well put together - I love when it gave out in the second section. A real nice edit and helluva ride. JP is looking great too!

07-20-2005, 06:11 PM
OMG I feel so left out... I can get to the link just fine... I can get a download ticket just fine... but I can't connect to the server that the movie is on.

Sad news...

Well, the park is still happening, that's good news. The sad news is that there seems to be a glitch in WILD! causing the tilt coaster to not work right. So, the infamous "brick wall" scene in Fear Factor: The Ride isn't working properly. In fact, rather than running to a stop and tilting... it is, ironically, running into the brick wall and crashing. Also, the tilt section seems to have a mind of its own. So, having said that, Fear Factor: The Ride has been temporarily removed. On a good note, thanks to the wonderful dinosaur additions in WILD!, JP River Adventure should look a lot better.

11-01-2005, 03:52 PM
yay ! lets hope you can use the dinos good !

11-01-2005, 05:45 PM
hey chaos....which park u basing this on? cause i am making JP in Hollywood (i got the show building perfected) and you'll have some compition your way ;)

11-01-2005, 06:08 PM
Everything looks great....but I believe that all cap titles are not allowed. I could be wrong, but I got yelled at when I tried it.
