Yes, I have found a way to make a Boat Tour ride using the Water Transport. Here's how:

Start off my making the path that you want the boat to follow.
http://vgplay.f2o.org/rct/boattour/Shot0071.JPG

Then place a Water Transport station. The trick is to not have enough room for the boat to turn around right after leaving the station (a good way to do this is to block off the water completely, leaving room for the station).

Ah, there we go!

Then add scenery.

Done!

I also might add that its rather popular. Even with two boats running the que stays full.

Excellent. It was annoying with the boat tours when it just kept turning around and going into the same station.

Thanks for the guide =].

This is a great trick... you should add it to the Strategies and Tutorials forum!

I've done a similar thing in my park, but my waterway was a little more complex so I had to make a second station near the end of the circuit. No entrance or exit. Just a dock piece. It works great except for one thing. When the boat returns to the first station, none of the peeps gets off. It goes around and around the circuit and no one EVER gets off. Anyone here encountered this problem?

I love the Water Transportation ride. I have an extremely complex waterway that was kinda like a Venice with waterways in place of streets. The boats will take the quickest route possible.I figured this out because all of my stations we on the outside-most waterway. I haven't noticed the peep problem though.

Maybe they're all wanting to get off at the second station, but can't since there's no exit, therefor they just stay on the boat in an endless loop...

But the boat won't even leave the first station without having the second one in place. I get a message saying there is no direct path to the station, or something like that. But there is, because it works when the second station is placed. Oh, well... I can get around this by pausing the game, closing and opening the ride, and then unpausing. Then, all the peeps exit and the other peeps in line are able to get on board.

No there isn't. At the second station though.. that's why you get the msg.

VGplay, by any chance do you have this park saved? When you find it, feel free to email it to me at bctrainers@gmail.com :)

Boat Tour looks good. I'll try it. Plus, this got me thinking. Don't you hate to have to place so many trees to get a forest effect? They should have a "forest" option that you can enable so that when you pick one tree, it places like 50 trees. Also a mixer to place a forest of all types of trees.
