View Full Version : Venice Disneyland [UPDATED ON 09-28-05: History of America Arcade]

First of all, I wish you forgave my horrible English: in fact, I'm Italian, so I don't speak English very well.
I'm trying to make a Disney (Magic Kingdom) Park with RCT3. I love Disneyland Paris, but this isn't a recreation; it's just a mix between dlp and usa disney parks (where, unfortunately, I've never been).
Would you give me an opinion? Is it so bad?

Yay! Another talented newcomer!

Let me just say, that this Disney park is looking GORGEOUS! It looks so real! I see lots and lots of details that really make this park look outstanding. Very, very good job so far!

07-13-2005, 05:19 PM
Very nice work on everything so far filesnav2k   You've really done a lot of work with all the wonderful themeing. Keep up the great work :)

07-13-2005, 05:22 PM
Yes, this looks like a great start! Great theming, this could be another masterpiece!!! I cant wait to see more, and we can never have to many Disney parks:p

07-13-2005, 05:43 PM

07-13-2005, 06:25 PM

07-13-2005, 06:37 PM

you stole the ferries idea from Theme Park World :D
why not people by plane? or UFO? :alien:
ofcourse you can add those but in most theme parks I've been, I only saw busses, cars and train (disneyland paris)...

well done!!
keep up the good work and you'll have a very cool park at the end
I hope to see more of it soon :)

07-13-2005, 06:46 PM
Yeaaaaaaaah... I dont know what youre talking about -smiles and nods- but great start man!

07-13-2005, 07:00 PM
Thanks a lot for your cheering comments! I never thought my little park could be so appreciated.
But there're some bad news: on saturday I'll go on holiday for 2 weeks, so, obviously, I will not post any updates until I'll come home.
I'll leave you with 2 new images: I hope you like them.

Thanks again! See you soon!

Awesome disneyland park! Looks just like what a disney park should look like! :D

07-13-2005, 07:18 PM
How do you do that trees with the flowers, I remeber some talked about it, but I cant find it anywhere, someone please tell me how!

07-13-2005, 07:33 PM
Plant the tree first, get flowers and hold shift button, click on the tree area. that's it!

It is a great start you got, esp i'm reallly like the train station too.

I rather put the flowers underground, so that you don't delete them by mistake(since their kinda invisible). I've done that plenty of times, so I learned to put them underground. It still works.

What I really like about Main Street is the different colors you used. Other parks have really plain and neutral colors but your blues and reds are really great and adds an original touch to the park instead of an exact copy. I really like the original train station as well.

07-14-2005, 10:12 AM
It's really nice, I also like the colored building in Main sreet; as you're 1st park, I guess you spend time on it , with great results, don't worry it's not a bad park at all
Enjoy your vacations!

This is a very realistic and lovely park, thanks for demonstrating that being the first time doing a park you can do an excellent one. Too much parks (and im not saying names of new members that are doing these "parks") are appearing in this forums, im talking about those parks that are only four flat rides, and one coaster, without theming, and the members that construct them say: "its my first park, dont blame me for being a s**** park". And if you say that is not good they respond you with an: "iM NeW!"
Filesnav2k, you have demontrate them that being your first park is one of the most beautifull of the forums , and that with some work you can do a very good park. From here i give you thanks!

BTW That main street looks awesome, you have put a lot of detail in it.

07-14-2005, 11:29 AM
Dang this is good! I love the buildings!

07-14-2005, 11:49 AM
Awesome! I love your mixture of the space theme and the brick theme with your Train Station. It turned out great. Your buildings on main street are awesome! Your park is just GREAT! I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Have a great Holiday!

07-14-2005, 12:09 PM
Three words one phrase OMG!!

07-14-2005, 12:20 PM
Awsomw! I really like the mix of colors as well. It looks more......fun I should say. And the station OH the station it is beutiful.

Is it so bad?

There is nothing wrong with admitting your park is good. Caus this park is shear quality, in fact all that does is annoys me (i am probaly the only one lol):D. And just like GiveTMachance said, the only people with bad parks are those with NO scenery. The bland loads of rides and no buildings parks. I am a bit mad because you are better than me already;) . Very nice park and best of luck,

07-14-2005, 12:52 PM
Luckily, I've got a few seconds to read your answers, but especially to thank you, again and again!
I made a list of the most important attractions I'd like to build: here it is!

Main Street, U.S.A. Main Street Transportation, Co.
Frontierland Phantom Manor (due to scenery limitations, it will be something different than the original version...remember the "999 happy haunts"? We'll meet some of them!) Big Thunder Mountain Splash Mountain Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes
Adventureland Jungle Cruise (or maybe something like Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom?) Pirates Of The Caribbean Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Peril The Magic Carpets Of Aladdin (it is in Walt Disney World, isn't it?)
Fantasyland King Arthur Carrousel It's A Small World! Matterhorn Bobsleds Peter Pan's Flight Mad Hatter's Tea Cups Casey Jr. Skyway To Tomorrowland (a good transportation ride...)
Tomorrowland Buzz Lightyear Space Adventure
Space Mountain Star Tours 20000 Leagues Under The Sea
Autopia Galaxy Palace Theatre (a place where Kara Oki will sing forever!) (obviously) Skyway To Fantasyland Tomorrowland Transit Authority (or maybe Rocket Rods?)

Please, tell me your opinions!
Thanks for your interest! Goodbye!

I would add to your list of rides the TTA (Tomorrowland Transit Authority) Please add this as it is a great scenic ride through Tomorrowland but also a nice nap ride! Hee hee

Alos, OMG, is just 3 words shortened. At least the number 3 was correct. Hah a!

07-14-2005, 01:53 PM
Wow! That's amazing! I love your park's beginning, keep on the great work!

07-14-2005, 02:30 PM
: I would add to your list of rides the TTA (Tomorrowland Transit Authority)That's a good idea! I've completely forgotten it!
I'll add TTA (or maybe Rocket Rods? Which of them is better?) to my attractions list immediately.
disneyland255: it is a great scenic ride through Tomorrowland but also a nice nap ride!Indeed, I've seen a video of TTA, and it seems a bit boring!:)

Incrdible detailed park, eevn in the interior of buildings. Too bad that lag will surely stop this project, my wishes is that this doesnt happen and you can continue and show more of your magnificent work:D

09-19-2005, 06:32 AM
 This scenery is incredible!

"Dineyland Transportation Tram station" and "History of America Arcades" are just perfect.   :D

Teen_R_A_V_E_N: Too bad that lag will surely stop this project I hope this won't happen for a long time: my geforce 6800gt works perfectly, and I'm currently playing rct3 at 1280*1024, at maximum details.
When lag comes, I will decrease resolution and quality, but I'm not going to surrender lightly! :D

xav_desing: In french, we can say " Sa déchire grave" ......... !!!!! Thanks! So you're French...and you live near Disneyland Paris...I'm so jealous! ;)
xav_desing: It will be downloadable when this amasing recreation was finished ? Of course, but I think my park won't be completed early. In fact, I'd like to do my best and I could need much time!
Anyway, any update will be told in this thread.

One problem that everyone has at trying to create Disney land/world is the size of the park. Dividing the sections into their own parks is the way to go. In one park, it is nice to look at, but even with the best computer on the market, it cannot be played. But if made into sections, it might be possible.....

09-19-2005, 02:42 PM
You have reason
It is a big problem for people using a ager (??) computer...
I have just a question, what mean "WIP" ????
I'm a sofomore (??), in france it is called "seconde", and sometimes i don't uderstand !!

And I live near Marne la vallée (the town where Disneyland Resord Paris is based (??)), it is just 45 minutes in train !!! I think i'm so lucky !! Sorry for the other lol

When i type this (??), it is when i don't know if i use corectly a word, ok ?

I've an idea! I could make the whole park in one, large map, decreasing quality and resolution, and then release each land separately, deleting all the other lands from the map. Is it a good idea?

So you could buy the "passeport annuel", couldn't you?
I've been at Disneyland Resort Paris every year since 1993, and I still love it!

09-20-2005, 12:45 PM
Yes I have the "pasport annuel", You are right.
Thank for the signification (??) of WIP !!

09-20-2005, 02:14 PM
its perfect!!:D

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you for giving me so much appreciation: Thanks!
I've just made a logo for my park, which now isn't nameless anymore: it's called "Venice Disneyland". Consequently, here is the horrible logo:
I'm absolutely incapable in using image software such as Photoshop, so I've used Corel Photo-Paint and......Microsoft Paint!
Then my question: is this logo really bad?

After that, tonight I've tried to improve the Emporium with some more details.
Which of the two versions do you think looks better?
1. The 'Old' Emporium, from the pre-Soaked version of my park:
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/2954/oldemporium13ht.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=oldemporium13ht.jpg) http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/4371/oldemporium27gk.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=oldemporium27gk.jpg)

2. The 'New' Emporium, with Soaked and custom scenery:
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/7679/newemporium18ee.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newemporium18ee.jpg) http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/9808/newemporium23su.th.jpg (http://img378.imageshack.us/my.php?image=newemporium23su.jpg)

Thanks again a lot!

09-28-2005, 04:15 AM
Unfortunately, you haven't answered my question about Emporium. Yeah, you're right, that was truly a silly question...
Anyway, I'm not going to stop trying to post updates for my small and forgotten park, whose official name is Venice Disneyland (VDL). So, construction of History of America Arcades continues...

1. The central part of History of America Arcade, inspired by Discovery Arcade in Disneyland Paris:
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/6884/hoaacentral3ge.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

2. Another view of the same place. This is the "Coffee Grinder":
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/9519/hoaacoffeegrinder4cc.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

3. A closer look to an unusual wall:
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/6500/hoaawallparticular2vh.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

4. Market Street is growing up (not so fast, but it's better than nothing :D):
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/2452/marketstreet18fv.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

And now, an "extra" image: a construction photo of the wooden ceiling:
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/2299/hoaaceiling2vv.th.jpg (http://img293.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hoaaceiling2vv.jpg)

Well, could you tell me if I'm doing a good or a bad job, please?

09-28-2005, 01:26 PM
GOOD JOB...definitely a GOOD job! Keep up the great work! This is amazing...rarely have I seen such attention to detail on building interiors! WOW!

09-28-2005, 05:31 PM
I LOVE the central plaza (I forgot the specific name) shots. The tram is so cool!!!!!!1

09-28-2005, 05:48 PM
I agree with Fisherman..."good job" would be an understatement!

The idea of an elevated tram came from a sketch I've seen in a book bought in Disneyland Paris: it shows a concept of a Main Street set in the 20's. Moreover, tram tracks in the middle of Main Street would not be so good looking, because of the impossibility to create tracks crossings.

And...Thanks for your appreciations!

09-28-2005, 08:54 PM
The park looks outstanding, and evrything seems disney like. One flaw you have though are the Logos your using(Besides Mcdonalds) Just to let you know, Italy doesn't have any Starbucks nor Wendys in their location, and I'm sure (I was born there :P) but you don't have to change that, it's your park.

09-28-2005, 11:58 PM
WOW! Very Beautiful!

09-28-2005, 11:59 PM
You are doing an outstanding, superb, tremendous, incredible, and down right wonderful job on your park. I am amazed with your eye for detail. It is always refreshing to see new talent arriving on the boards to remind us old times that this game still has things that can make us go WOW.
http://img40.echo.cx/img40/5558/jaw3dx.gif http://img40.echo.cx/img40/2343/5stars5au.gif

So in closing, Welcome to the community filesnav2k, you are definitely one of us.

Oh, by the way, keep the magic coming.http://img300.echo.cx/img300/9730/12388ty.gif

Yours Truly,

09-29-2005, 04:14 AM
Five stars?! WOW!!!
I'm so happy that you like my park, and your appreciations give me the power to continue to work at it!

Italianpnoy112: Yes, you're right, there isn't any Starbuck in Italy, but for now it's the only available logo (it's from wonderful Iceatcs' Brand Name Logos Set). I'm still waiting for Wild!, which seems it will give us the opportunity to import custom logos.
So you're Italian, aren't you? Well, I'm too! Nice to meet you!

shyguy: Thanks, also because I've taken so much inspiration from your beautiful Wonder World! And I can't wait to improve my park with your Main Street Scenery Pack!

Teirmose: I'm honored to be in this community. Thank you! And yes, I want always more Disney magic!

Well, I can't find right words to express my thanksgiving...You're great!

09-29-2005, 09:49 AM
Wow!!! Very nice!
I'm loving your work. Great use of walls and scenery for buildings!
Can't wait to see more!

09-29-2005, 12:49 PM
Your combination of walls textures and use of different pieces as support members impresses me :D

09-29-2005, 03:21 PM
Well i reckon the buildings and architecture you have made so far is superb overall. Keep it up. I'l be watching to see any future updates , im sure ill be pleasantly surprised

Starbuck's sign comes from "Iceatcs' Brand Name Logos Set".
Wendy's sign comes from "PNP - Food and Drink".
The table with benches pulled up to it doesn't come from any custom scenery set. They are just the original ones, but there is a trick thanks to which it is possible to place benches where I've placed them: you have to delete the path square near to the table, place the bench and then recreate the path square.
Sorry for my English...If you don't understand, I'll try to explain it with some pictures.

10-01-2005, 04:26 PM
Very very very amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But i'm so tired because I couldn't this park because the dining table doesn't work on my computer..........................
