View Full Version : New Park, "Weasel's Waves"

07-20-2005, 11:05 PM
Ok. I have started a new park and have the entrance set up.

What do you think?:D

I have been doing some thinking...

And noticed that people were actually trying to help me:(
So to all the people that I yelled at, I'm sorry.

Tell me what you think of my park, so far.:)

The entrance looks pretty nice so far weasel, I know you're just getting started, so if you had something else in mind, disregard this idea.
In the 2nd pic those flowers look really square in shape, you might try putting some grassy/leafy plants around them to soften them up a little so they don't look so boxy.

More Pics:

It didn't take me that long but, IMO, it looks pretty sweet!:D

Yes, Much much better then that red box. I have to agree that the flowers look to boxy. i think this is a big step from the box, i cant even think about that.
Keep it up

07-20-2005, 11:21 PM
Thanks guys, I even have to agree with ya'll. I will do something about the flowers.:)

I don't have any more ideas for it. So suggestions are welcome, I will most likely make stuff up as I go.

Thanks again for the comments!

Ok I've decided to let that do and reply to your thread :p.

This is definately much better than the red box :D. It looks pretty good so far. My olny suggestion would be to mix up wall peices and themes. Don't be affraid to experiment ;). Mix and match 'til you come up with something that looks good.

I will most likely make stuff up as I go.
That's how I do it... :)

That area needs alot of work
1) that just looks like a bunch of land risen and smoothen, try addin levels like a gradual lift to the top

2) there really isnt a need for mist (unless you like it)

3) try to vary the colors of the land, you have sand by the water and gradd for the rest, you could give the mountins a roccky texture and maybe even snow on the top

4) whats wrong with the water fall in the last picture?

5) just on opinion but you could add a water ride too the lae, like jet skis or wind surfing

Dont take that too hard just my 2 cents

07-21-2005, 01:43 AM
Well, first of all, the waterfall in the last pic was an accident, I couldn't get it to go right, after some terrain shaping... I tried to make the waterfall and it came out like that. I can't make it right without having to alter a lot of land (I tried...)

The reason I have the mist is because it give it a more jungle feel.

I will add a few water rides.

And thanks for the advice on the textures!:D

its getting there, there is still some improvement you could use. i suggest that it doesnt go ip so fast. that it slowly goes up cause your terrain goes from ground level to vertical very fast not slower
if you know what i mean

I would suggest checking out Vodhin's Terrain tutorial for some more info on making realistic mountains and terrain blending Look Here (http://www.vodhin.net/OT/Scenery_Landscape/index.html)

I think I got it as good as i could, I might be done for that theme. So what theme should i do next?

I tried to check out the tut. But it said, "Page can't be displayed."

Thanks for the support!:D

Cool, nice use of the generic scenry, the glass adds even more flare to the city buildings, Great start.

07-21-2005, 03:21 PM
I have added a new addition to the park!:D But I don't know what to call it:( Help wit the name will be appreciated!:)

Should i keep it?

07-21-2005, 03:24 PM
The new addition looks good.. but there's more than one pine tree available... a little variety in your foliage will go a long way.

07-21-2005, 03:26 PM
Ok, thanks!

I like those mountains better then the other ones in the Oasis area, although you may want to very the trees a little. If i was you i would keep those and take out the other ones.

You could turn the new area into a ski resort, a Bobsled coaster and a ski lift and some other rides would look good. Just add snow to the top of it. and again you may want to blend terrain a little less suttle then a bunch of chunks

07-21-2005, 03:30 PM
It is really neat to see how you have progressed in your own park. You are getting there. I love this last update. Keep up the work. I keep away from mountains and waterfalls and tunnels because I just can't get em yet. GREAT JOB!

07-21-2005, 03:30 PM
Looks Well Good Dude = )

07-21-2005, 03:38 PM
Wow!!! I thought it was good, but didn't know it was that good!:D

I may make that area into a ski-resort area, Like little mini parks. Water rides in Pleasure Valley and snow rides in the mountains(Need a name for the mountains) thanks for the ideas and advice.

I will change the trees later.

07-21-2005, 03:52 PM
Oohh... I like the skyway bridges... They remind me of Minneapolis.

(You don't happen to know a "Weasel 117", do you?)

07-21-2005, 04:07 PM
No, I don't know any other weasels.:p < That sounds weird...

It seems that only two people have noticed the glass hallway.

Any ideas for the next theme?:bulb:

07-21-2005, 04:16 PM
Might I recommend posting images instead of links...makes it so much faster to see what the park is about (see sig for instructions)! Looks good!

07-21-2005, 04:19 PM
Ok, I was just checking that you weren't my arch-enemy.

Yes, the [IMG] tags would be much more helpful when posting. Just click the button labeled IMG right above where you type out your post.

07-21-2005, 05:11 PM
OK, i will test it...

07-21-2005, 05:53 PM

07-21-2005, 11:22 PM

Thanks on the compliments... I have not been working on it lately because I got Soaked and a new graphics card and I'm starting a mega park!:D May work on this more later...

09-27-2005, 01:52 PM
looking very...scenic:up: whats the red box? I wanna see it!! :p

09-27-2005, 02:45 PM
The red box... :sour:

I don't want to talk about it... Let the thread speak for itself.:sour:

I have been struggling with my pc for a while, so i haven't been playing rct3 for a while. Need a new power supply, a stick of 1gb memory, and a new fan. So i can't do anything on here except for surf the net.

10-17-2005, 05:03 PM
Bad news... My graphics card blew out the other day and now i can't work on RCT3 with the little 64mb card that I have installed... But I may be getting a gaming laptop for Christmas!:D But that also brings more bad news:( ... I will have to re-start all of my parks. Which brings good news:D ... I will be able to make them even better than they were! Which brings more bad news:( ... I will have to put in a lot of hours on my projects.

But that's that. If I do get a new card for my pc it will be a ATi Radeon X800 256mb AGP.     My BFG Tech Geforce FX 5500 OC sucks. and is blown.
