Hiya,

I have decided to do a quick project, which you can able to create own better looking slide supports to bring up more realistic for your water park design.

There is only three main pieces that you can make any customise height arm support.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/iceatcs/Slide-Support-set.jpg

It is really for the curve slide track but can use other features if you want. There are 3 different sizes of the arm support for small, medium or long curve, Also each has some different of kinds like Helix or Sloped or Flat one.

However, there is a picture with slides,

*IceatcsCurveSlideSupports.zip (http://www.iceatcs.co.uk/RCT3/IceatcsCurveSlideSupports.zip)*

*IceatcsCurveSlideSupports.exe (http://www.iceatcs.co.uk/RCT3/IceatcsCurveSlideSupports.exe)* For people who don't have zip archiving program.

if you have problem download, try it! (Sebar.com) (http://sebar.com/iceatcs/)

PLEASE READ ME HOW TO INSTALL.

Medium Slide Arm Support Update!

i think i have to make two arm support versions for slope and flat because the heights are different between,

So i have little to show off the new medium arm supports.

Great work so far! I can't wait for 10 years to pass. LOL Maybe I'll try to make some you can include in the pack. I just need to know how to make them.

So how do I make them? The exact same way as custom scenery? How do you make them colorable? How do you...

You get the point. Just PM me the answers or post them in here. Your choice!

iceatcs
08-02-2005, 08:22 PM
I can see that I could finish it very quick.
There is not much to do to finish off, as I have finished the 3D models, now I have to adjust the size and position. And the Icons for list,

Maybe I can release it by tomorrow , no more than 24 hours…
:D

Can you make a textured version of the main "support" that's in the middle? These are usually concrete, with the other supports being metal.

If not, that's also fine. :)

They're looking good and all, but I'm not sure whether I'll use them. Depends on what kind of supports are in Pumper's pack, I suppose.

Keep up the good work!

Vodhin
08-02-2005, 11:27 PM
Nice work Iceatcs! Hmmm. I wonder if these will work with other track ride helixes?

Your_Name_Here
08-02-2005, 11:37 PM
I can't wait for these! I never use the slides since I never build water parks, but I'm going to just use them for scenery! They look like awesome modern art peices, or supports for canopies over coaster stations or paths, etc!

iceatcs
08-03-2005, 10:39 AM
New Helix Supports, Three arms support together,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v673/iceatcs/Shot0183.jpg

So there are 3 together of different types of arm support.
- Helix Supports (3 arms) - Left and Right (one for up or for down)
- Sloped Support (1 arm)
- Arm Support (1 arm) - For flat slide track.

So I got one more arms to make which it is small helix supports, then i can release the pack.

When it is finished, I will move back to the brand logo, which I'm having the problem with number of polygons that disappears in short distance view.

jackwarduk
08-03-2005, 10:42 AM
Yahoo, i cant wait for both this and the brand project!

08-03-2005, 11:15 AM
Hiya! I just had a brain fart- why not have the central post as part of the arm piece as well as have a seperate central post? I mean, you have to have the post with the arm anyway- would this work or is there a height issue that makes it easier to have the pieces seperate?

I don't see how it would support the coasters... (unless you're using it for something small like a wild mouse coaster)

Well, you're not doing something right, because I got them in with no problem whatsoever. The folder needs to be in C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed ...just like every other custom scenery pack... This isn't anything new.

Anyways...iceatcs: The supports look great, but I cannot for the life of me get the helix supports to line up with the main support pole. The single arm support lines up fine, but the helix supports will not, no matter how much rotating and fiddling I do:

When I do the no zip thingy, I put i t into D:/Programs/Atari/Rct3/Style/Themed/ Then put it here.

I press extract, and it says, could not open bla bla bla, then keeps going to the next other file saying could not open blabla bla, and keeps doing it to the other Iceates curved slide support files, WHATS WRONG!

ytivarg
08-07-2005, 12:32 AM
I used the .exe file, and simply hit extract. It extracted the entire folder to my desktop. Then, I moved that folder to blahblahblah\Style\Themed

Yeah you can, switch off the support view in 'Glasses' icon,
Or you can remove it by plant some bushes or other plants around, or put the real RCT3 scenery objects underground

Yep, they work for me! Thank you so much, I am going to use these on alot of things, mainly buildings as they would provide realistic supports for them. Everything you make is perfect!

when I try to use these supports I get an error saying: 'no :svd for :sid'
I have no idea what it's supposed to mean... Is it because I'm using the UK version of RCT3? I have soaked.

It wouldn't matter what version you have, I think you just installed wrong. Unistall and the reinstall.

I did have an issue with the exe version of the install. Not sure why, but was getting a "Could not open [blah blah blah]" on all the ovl files. Not sure if it's relating to the use of the apostrophe in the filename combined with my system or anything...

...or I may just be dumb.

I did however use the zip just fine, so no worries :). Haven't yet gone into the game to play with them, but lookign forward to seeing what I can do.

Great slide supports! On every slide I make I take away the supports and use your slide supports. All my slides look alot more realistic. If you want to continue this project I would love you to add these two slide supports:

A diagonal support (for all the sizes), that could get some of those hard to reach places.

A little support so that if a slide goes right by a pole you can attach it there instead of using a small support, maybe this pic will explain things better:

Here is a pic of the slide supports in my park:

Does it work with wild!?

I have got this pack for a while, but the other day i got wild, and i uninstalled all my custom scenery download, because not all of them are supported in wild!.....

Will it work on wild?

Cause i love the supports.
