That could be... but I like to think is says a**hole!

08-04-2005, 09:16 PM
lol.....yeah it says the whole sign reads "Annual PassHolders"

This terraforming is extremely tedious.....i had it perfect then the game crashed and now I'm trying to do it again....and it's just not quite the same.

08-04-2005, 09:16 PM
lol looks good so far like that car going over the trees.:D

08-05-2005, 01:33 AM
lol that is probably a good idea... ill let someone else pioneer that one though, lol.....ok real entrance pics soon as i can get them posted, and pics of the coaster.

08-05-2005, 01:40 AM
Here's some shots....

Shot of the main gate area....this is not a very revealing pic tho

Here's a view of the parking lot/tram

Night View of the Entrance Plaza(before the main gate)

Night View of the Parking Lot and Tramhttp://img312.imageshack.us/img312/9720/jungleparkinglotnight4nu.jpg

Now....I need some help from you master designers.
Being fairly new to RCT3 here's the question I need to pose.....

When in the scenario editor, should I leave the extent of my park to include the main gate and the parking lot and the peep gens. and the currently operational trams, or should I draw the line right at the Entrance Gates? I know that would not make the parking trams work, but is that the only way to not confuse the peeps. Again, I am really new at this, so I really need help on this one. Pics of my coaster shortly......

08-05-2005, 01:56 AM
Ok, here's some shots of Jaguar, the other ride left before the cropping out of my park. This was my first steel coaster design on RCT3.

Sorry bout the tools....

there's the lift hill and station....i need some better pics sorry lol

Here's a shot during the daylight.

I really need to consider changing the name from Jaguar. I never really liked the name to begin with, and looking at the finished product it is kind of a canopy cruiser if you will. Oh well.

Pretty great park! I like the jungle theme, it's great!

08-06-2005, 05:42 PM
Here's a teaser pic for everyone, I have to go soon so I didn't have time to get more up. This is my new woodie, it still goes with the jungle theme, but for a twist I added in some spooky theming. I'll have some pics later tonight I hope. Oh and BTW it's almost done, which explains for my lack of updates.:D

There ya go! Hope that sparks some interest;)

PS:I still really need someone to answer my question as to where I need to draw the boundary of my park.

08-06-2005, 06:40 PM
Wow, very nice park so far! The coasters look like fun :D.

To sort of answer your question, your entracen right now looks fine the way it's set up. Looks right to me. Are the peeps acting strangely or something when entering the park? If not then it's perfectly fine.

08-06-2005, 08:33 PM
Ok thank you. No the peeps aren't acting strangely, I haven't even let them in yet, but as this is my first time messing with the scenario editor, I wanted to be sure.

Here's some pics of my nearly complete ride Poltergeist. The name will be changed as soon as I can come up with a better one.

Poltergeist at night

Again at night, pretty dark, but still....

Here's a shot of one of my favorite elements of the whole ride, and it heads back underground right past the dilapidated shack.

Coming out of the dilapidated shack/break run

The spirits usually only come out at night lol.....the current entrance for what is currently Poltergeist. The spooky house sits atop the hill, and you enter this guy's front yard right into the hill......

Well that's all for now, I have a complete ride video that i made last night, but that's all it is. I'm gonna need to find some good music to go with this and maybe I'll pull off something if you guys want it.

08-06-2005, 08:40 PM
Looks Pretty cool, but I think you should change the trains to 1 seat per car than 3. The elements you have would be impossible with the train you have.

08-06-2005, 08:50 PM
Looks great! Good job with all the theming!

The entrance to the ride looks a little boring though. I think that section could be spiced up a bit ;).

08-06-2005, 09:02 PM
Looking good. Agree that you should be using the articulated coaster trains on the woodie and not the three seater, will make a much smoother ride.

08-06-2005, 09:18 PM
Thank you guys for all your support. I think I will change the car style to the articulated ones. I had already considered it anyway. I had also thought the entrance looked somewhat boring, i'm fully prepared to add plenty more to the front to spice it up, and as for the name.......Chimera is another option? I dunno. I'll be working on the entrance.

You guys want a vid?

08-06-2005, 09:43 PM
I would love a vid! And cool park, and I like the way you incorporated the jungle theme along with the spooky theme, it adds a nice twist in the park and doesn't stand out too much either. But the entrance does need some spicing up, maybe bamboo walls with the spooky house rooves and some silk banners always look nice, dark colors.

And about your question, you meant where to draw the border of the owned land? I personally like to draw it right at the border, without owning the entrance buildings, but that's just me.

08-08-2005, 12:20 AM
Ok fellas! I've jazzed up the entrance, and slapped a new name, Espiritu, on it. I've got a video completed, but right now it's at 40Megs! I'll put it on the first post, and you can download it here.

PS: Anyone know how to shrink the file size? and this is my first vid lol!

EDIT!.....Only two downloads so far and no comments! :-( boo! lol oh well the video isnt that great anyways, not much more than on-ride footage....and it is a pretty big file.

Anyways next update should be on the waterpark area, Borneo Bay. I have the layout done in my head, but this will take forever. So it could be a while before I get much up, but when its completed it should be pretty nice.

cough cough download my vid lol

08-08-2005, 02:25 PM
Fun coaster...wish I had your video card! One suggestion would be to have faded out the music after the credits ended. That would have made the video shorter and smaller!

Great park by the way!

08-08-2005, 02:51 PM
yeah, i didn't quite know how to fade that out lol

Yeah I just bought a new card, but don't be fooed it still took nearly 3 hours to take that vid!

Waterpark for Amazon Height is well on its way, no shots may be released though probably until it is finished.

08-08-2005, 03:31 PM
Really cool video, however, it was long, were you using Windows Movie Maker? If you were, I'm also trying to figure out how to do fade out music. And back to the point, nice coaster, I really enjoyed it, and I really like how you didn't make any inversions, it makes it more realistic, loop on a woodie should never have been introduced. But the coaster was pretty long and it did go pretty fast, we didn't get much of a chance to see the nice scenery you worked so hard on, maybe if you added some brakes in places, it would really bring out your scenery and the buildings you've built, just a suggestion. Looking forward to the water park, maybe a teaser? Please.

08-08-2005, 05:07 PM
Thanks for your support, I had meant to add in some brakes by that little shack, and I must have not saved them when I did. Yes, I did use Windows Movie Maker.

hmm.....teaser for the waterpark.....

Here's a few i took, just showing the construction process, it really doesn't look like much now, but at least you can see how it's coming along.

08-08-2005, 05:12 PM
To shorten music, drag the music bar to the correct length (at the end of your credits) then right click and select fade out.

Good News! Borneo Bay Waterpark, inside Amazon Heights, is complete!

Alright Guys, no comments on any of the older pics:(, but I just deleted them because I have a new installment for you all and one question-picture. Borneo Bay is now complete so here's some pics, the pics don't do it justice, and I think you will really enjoy it once it is released with the rest of Amazon heights.

Here is the catching pool for my Borneo Blaster Slides

Here's an overview from behind the main tower/pool plaza

The Borneo Blasters

I decided to make the volcano erupt nightly, much like the Mirage in Las Vegas. You can kind of make out te lazy river in the pic, but that is taken from the fireworks camera.

Another Overview

The entrance, lockers, and any other entrance items that you can see

Here's my problem guys...
I worked really hard on this lovely covered bridge from the changing rooms to the main area over the lazy river, and all that jazz, but it has one flaw.... It's too dark, and I can't come up with any way to light the bridge. This is for all you problem solvers out there. nothing I've tried works without being suspended in mid-air. And yes, that's pool path not regualr path. Well, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to avoid cheating, as I haven't yet and....really don't want to. Oh well, here's the pic.http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/3913/bridgethatwontlight9uc.jpg

Borneo Bay has come a long ways since I last saw it, I love it so much. Splendid work so far.

08-18-2005, 09:40 PM
Borneo Bay is Very Nice, I love the colors too!

08-19-2005, 05:04 PM
Well thanks tmul and pisces for keeping my park off of page 39 lol
I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately, school has just started for me, so It's been kind of tough. I really haven't done much lately, I've been working on dropping in some flat rides and a virginia reel with the snake cars. Nothing is very themed or anything at all right now so it's all kind of akward so no pics right now I guess. I did change the Borneo Bay entrance by burying some Neon Path Lamps, so now it has sort of an evanescence of green and blue glow on and off, it looks pretty neat I think.

Other than that I'm just still working on this area with the flat rides, because I hope to make it look nice and not boring. Right now it has a Diskus, RotoDrop, Snake Helter-Skelter, and the station and start of a Snake Virginia reel that is planned to go in and around the other 3, but there is a great deal of landscaping and building and egh! Very Meticulous! So, I'm trrrrrying! May go to another concert this weekend, lol, but if not hopefully I'll get some good work done.

PS: I still need help lighting that bridge up there^^^^

08-19-2005, 05:18 PM
if u added lights to the ceiling they would be not floating and not cheating, just raise it up so it is touching the ceiling

08-21-2005, 01:42 AM
Thanks. I already tried that and it looked a bit akward, but maybe that's just me. That may be what it has to be anyways because I don't think there really is a way.

Wow, 2 whole pages! and a rating thingy now yes! 3stars? eh not bad i guess for my first posted park. Thanks for the support everyone who's posting here!:noob:

08-26-2005, 12:23 AM
Sorry everyone for the double post but it's been a while and I'm just checkin you guys in who might be following Amazon Heights somewhat.

The progression of Amazon Heights has hit a very slow speed. With school, soccer, and lag all working against me it has made any quick developments nearly impossible. I could give you guys some construction pics maybe, but the lag combined with the lack of time I have is making it so difficult to build large structures and complete my Snake Virginia Reel Ride. I think once I finish the Virginia Reel things will speed up because I can move away from that area of the park and start on my next big thing, dunno what that is yet but oh well/

In case anyone wants to know.....here is my senior class schedule.... it's kinda ridiculous. lol

1. Advanced Physics AP
2. 5th Year Spanish AP
3. Calculus AP
4. U.S. Government AP
5. Athletic Weights
6. English 12 AP
7. Ancient Greek

lol......what's really funny is that the classes really aren't all that hard. Looking at that though, it's kind of scary. Well, I'll try to get some pics or a reasonable update over the weekend, no guarantees though. Sorry guys! Thanks for your support!
