Gah! Another park that makes me feel like a loser... :(

Seriously, this is great! That log flume looks so wonderful!

08-08-2005, 04:55 PM
Very nice park so far! Looks GREAT! I love that junior coaster that goes in and out of the mountainside.

08-08-2005, 05:05 PM
Better then me! MAN THIS IS GOOD For a newcomer! Very good job and welcome to the community!

08-08-2005, 05:13 PM
^Well.....you have only been here for a month. lol.

Looks great by the way!

08-08-2005, 06:32 PM
Thanks for all the coments :D theres something realy annoying with Silverwind Mines (the coaster) the excitment is rated low  i think there must be another bug :sulk: because the ferris wheel has a higher rating :haha:

Here is a little update, ive added more to Silverwind Mountains neer the Minewheel as it looked a bit boring. just added a train station, a Restraunt and a gift show heres the screan ;)

Ill be starting some of the next area soon ;)

08-08-2005, 07:22 PM
Very nice and very realistic!

08-08-2005, 07:33 PM
I really like this park. You have got tunnels down pat. Awesome! I love your mine ride and your log ride! I also love how the train goes through a tunnel at the back of your mine ride. Great Park!

08-08-2005, 07:41 PM
Wow, how realistic your park is took my breath away and if RCT3's graphics wasnt so, Cartoony, then i probably would have mistaked it for a photo, i love what youve done so far, keep it up!

08-09-2005, 12:10 PM
Saw this and I had to reply!
You've done incredibly well. There are some really nice touches here. The landscape color is really well, and you use a nice variety of trees but still keep with the theme. The rides' use of terrain is excellent. Not sure why it doesn't always make for good E levels. Who knows.
I could offer a few suggestions to make it even better if you want?
Let me know.
Also, how about some close up pics of individual rides?

08-09-2005, 01:01 PM
just like with everyone elses park this one makes mine seem like a loser

one of the best ive seen and ive been looking for bout 4 days straight :p

08-09-2005, 01:58 PM
Thanks for the coments ;)

i didnt do any close ups because there would be too many pictures and fill up the thread but i might with my next update, ive started a new area which is going to be a tribal/tropical theme. ill show you some of it soon ;)

I could offer a few suggestions to make it even better if you want?
Let me know.

ok, suggestions allways help :)

08-09-2005, 03:29 PM
Thanks for sharing the pics with us.
Here's my ideas:
Vary the fence types. Those straight fences get very boring if you use too much. If you have a path that's 3 blocks wide, put some trees, bush, or something in a middle block to break up the "straightness". You're buildings use a lot of different scenery, which is nice, but try using slightly different colors for walls and roofs. Make some buildings taller. The height and color changes make things look even more realistic. Maybe add some balconies and different roofs. (check out my Roaring Canyons for ideas). Your use of terrain colors is great, but grass doesn't really grow well under the roofs and most trees. Vary the colors up a little more so it looks more blotchy under there. The new texture with Soaked with the stony sand and others are great underneath those crazy stone path blocks. Try some of those to give more of a wider look to your paths. Finally, the use of the big stones/boulders is a great idea. Vary the rotation and size a little. I see two that look almost identical.
Well, that's pretty much it. You've got a fantasic start going here. I would love to play it.
Can't wait to see more!

08-09-2005, 04:13 PM
Thanks Larry241 ;) ye i could do with doing all that, and ur right those fences are VERY boring. cant get more boring fences than that realy :haha: . heres another update (keep in mind these screans are before i read Larrys post so i havnt done the tweaks yet. ive made the first ride in the next area Mt. Inferno a Tower ride, ive also got some close ups of the Pinewood Falls and Silverwind Mines that som of you wanted ;)

Mt. Inferno

Mt. Inferno Q line

Mt. Inferno Interier

And heres the close ups of Silverwind Mountains

Pinewood Falls Back

Silverwind Mines Left

Silverwind Mines Right

More updates on the new area soon ;)

08-09-2005, 04:15 PM
Man! Your the bomb (Not the weapon 1 ;) )
Dude I mean look at pinewood falls it has a bride type thingy, and the mines is so beautiful scenery!

08-11-2005, 12:40 PM
Thanks ;)

Heres another update

ive started the first EXCITing ride :haha: its called Venom, here some screanshots (ITS NOT FINISHED ;) ) im just showing you the lay-out

08-11-2005, 12:45 PM

08-11-2005, 12:52 PM
Very nice attention to detail, gotta love it. But could I offer some advice, that is if you don't mind. Venom might need a hill, and the loops don't really fit in, but other than that, one of the best on these forums, and Silverwind Mines looks a ton of fun. I'd probably ride it a hundred times. And are those both the same picture? I wish this were a real theme park.:(

08-11-2005, 05:14 PM
^.....ummmmmm, it does have a hill. And why would it NEED one anyway? Look at arrow loopers in general, very few have a hill besides the first drop and maybe a small one at the start of a turnaround. And how do the loops of all things not fit in on an arrow looping coaster? I personally think it has a great, simple, and classic styled layout for an Arrow looper. I would however suggest more than a 4 car train, it just kinda looks wierd...

08-12-2005, 03:38 PM
Thanks for the replys, Ill keep the Lay-out because it seems very right for a Arrow Looper, as the word 'Loop' is even in the name :haha: ill add more cars though of course, theres no updates for now though because ive been Alton Towers all day so ive had no time to do any of it, ill update maybe soom time tomorrow ;)

08-17-2005, 08:34 AM
Sorry bout the update being quite a while after tomorrow, was playing another game and couldnt stop playing it untill i completed it :haha:

anyway heres the update, ive added custom supports to most of Venom apart from the corkscrews because im not sure how i could do them, ive tried to do it as realistic as possible even with the chain thingy. ive also dun some more of the station and it now has a Fastrack Q

ill be adding another flat to this area soon, because it was ment to be a family area but it dosnt realy look like one at the moment :(

08-17-2005, 10:29 AM
Very good ! Awesome !
It's exactely the kind of feeling I like to have when I see a park !
Everything looks so natural, so real, and the attractions really make me wanna ride them !
Keep it up, the custom supports are great too !
I also love the tower which blast out of the volcano ! nice idea !

08-17-2005, 10:06 PM
Awesome work with the custom supports. I love the realistic feel you've given to the park. I look forward to how this park progresses.

08-17-2005, 10:10 PM
Very Very Nice!

08-18-2005, 08:25 AM
Thanks, good to see you all like it :)

Ive come up with a name for that area now Congodrum Creek and Venom is now called the Serpant (might change angain)

Heres a screanshot of the rest of the Serpant and a flat called Voodoo Ship. Some of the supports still need tweeking as they ar not finished yet, i keep redooing them, also which corkscrew supports do you think is the best because i can decide

08-18-2005, 12:33 PM
I like the one that covers it.

08-18-2005, 12:34 PM
I agree !

Everything he said! This park is really great!

As for the corkscrew supports, I prefer the ones on both sides of the 'screw. Looks more realistic to me.

08-18-2005, 03:08 PM
For the supports on the corkscrew, i personally thing the ones that just attatch to the side look more realistic and still asthetically nice. If you are going for a more unique fantasy feel, the ones over the screw would probably be good. My preference is the side touching ones, but it's up to what you like in the end...it is your park after all. oh and btw, those supports look great:up:

08-18-2005, 04:56 PM
I absolutely Love this park! It is amazing! Keep up the great work.

08-21-2005, 12:33 PM
thanks peeps for the comens :D

i choose the supports one either side because i want it to look as realistic as possible, heres another update ive added another flat to congodrum creek called congo carousell and ive started work on the main entrance.

Congrodrum Creek Back Entrance and Congo Carousell

The Main Entrance (Unfinished)

08-21-2005, 02:04 PM
dude all i can say is that ure park is looking amazing!
Keep up the good work

08-21-2005, 03:49 PM
Awesome dude, this park looks great. Oh, you might wanna delete the brown C on the ground by your rear entrance :p

...and is that a twister coaster i see going up in the background? ;)

08-24-2005, 10:35 AM
Thanks for the replys, that B&M in the background is one of the parks 2 top coaster, that one you saw is going to be part of a lost city zone. (also the start wont look like that, i was just testin the position so it looks right from the entrance)

Ive started on the 3rd area which is a sea-side village theme so far ive started 1 ride, a dark ride themed as a underwater cave and you are searching for the lost treasure (unamed) heres a screan of it.

08-24-2005, 10:48 AM
Absolutely A-WE-SOME !

08-25-2005, 06:47 AM
^ Thanks :D

Heres an update on that ride which now has a train cutting straight through the middle also there is now a tunnle and a Q line and more theming.

Nice resterraunts:up:

08-28-2005, 03:53 PM
Thanks smallprint ;)

ive started making a very big coaster currently unamed but lost city theme, this will be the parks star attraction . The coaster is not yet finished so there are still a few things to be done

Whole Ride - from the lake

Main Part With the lift, Loop, Airtime hill, Diveloop and Block Brakes

The Entrance to the ride, Station and Cobra roll (station isnt finished)

08-29-2005, 04:35 AM
Dosnt anyone like my new coaster

ill be updating it soon as some of it is unrealistic anyway like the lift need 2 catwalks and stuff like that, also ill be adding another darkride to that area soon.

08-29-2005, 08:04 AM
That coaster looks great! I love it. The new posts really make our coasters come alive!
Good work!

08-29-2005, 10:01 AM
Amazing - awesome just spectacular.

I’ve been trying to built nicely landscaped and ‘compact’ coasters for ages, But I end up with like 50 km’s of track and an excitement rating of ‘0’.

You inspire me.

BTW – you forgot the ‘P’ on your Park entrance. It reads ‘Sringwater” ;)

08-29-2005, 10:06 AM
Da*N i love that coaster! :D

08-29-2005, 10:18 AM
Arrrrg, you used the submarine idea before me. Grrr, I thought I was the only one with that idea... *mumbles*

Anyway, looks like and realsitic, I like how you hid the building... Well done. The B&M coaster looks too cramped, spread it out possibly?

08-29-2005, 10:31 AM
This is such a beautiful park. Can't wait for more.

08-29-2005, 05:50 PM
Amazing work/updates. You sure known how to work those supports!

08-30-2005, 04:52 PM
Thanks for all the great coments :D , sorry i havnt got an update cause ive been Alton Towers again :D (5th time lol)

You sure known how to work those supports!

Thanks Pumper, Wouldnt look anywere near asgood without your supports ;)

BTW – you forgot the ‘P’ on your Park entrance. It reads ‘Sringwater”

Good find ;) never noticed it :haha:

The B&M coaster looks too cramped, spread it out possibly?

I might leave it because its quite hard to spread out as it would change it too much and wouldnt keep the nice simple layout, i was going to change it myself but it would mean moving too much and changing all the terrain, so ill leave it for now but i am changing most of it after the Immelman anyway because its unrealistic.

anyway, more updates soon, maybe tomorrow sometime ;)

08-30-2005, 04:56 PM
I think the B&M looks outstanding. Simple layout that doesn't take up half the park. The themeing with your coaster is unbelievable. I love the entire park!

08-30-2005, 05:00 PM
Wow, this gives me so much inspiration! Too bad I can't play RCT3.....dang......

oh well, awesome park man! :D

08-30-2005, 08:53 PM
wow! nice park AT Mad!

09-01-2005, 01:07 PM
Thanks you 3 :D

Heres another update as its about time, ive made 2 flats for the lost city area, Defender - a Top Scan themed as a anceint weapon that used to defend the lost city and Submersion (is that how you spell it) - a Top Spin themed on the lost city sinking and falling down, i still dont have a name for the coaster though, im trying to think of something cool like nemesis or collossus, a anceint beast kind of name.

anyway here are the screanshots

B&M With More Theming

The Defender

The First Ariel view of the park, now now only 4 areas left so im basically half way

09-01-2005, 02:05 PM
Do I sense a theme of Thorpe Park? BTW this park looks brillant, incredibly realistic, cant wait to play it! Also nice name, and that Cover bit reminds me of my "Fishermans Wharf".

Thanks Larry, I kept spelling it wrong, but I got an A/B in my English GCSE!:D

09-01-2005, 02:13 PM
Wow. This is looking amazing. I love the scenery you did around those last few rides. And the supports look awesome.
Keep it up!
L_T_T - I think you mean wharf, not whalf.

09-01-2005, 07:46 PM

09-02-2005, 01:19 AM
Lookin good. Like the overgrown ruins, also seen that on another fantastic park ;)

09-02-2005, 05:54 AM
I love this park, i've been following it on a different site and it's simply amazing.
The lost city themed area looks very good indeed. I love the B&M
and the two flats.
Great work AT_Mad

09-02-2005, 08:49 PM
Hey man, just wanted to say AWESOME JOB. I work for a real life major amusement park and often deal with coaster manufacturers. Your coasters are some of the FIRST REALISTIC coasters I have seen. Keep up the good work.
My park is at : http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=477607&highlight=mythology

09-02-2005, 08:53 PM
BTW, can you tell me how your were able to make that transfer track on the coaster intersect the the original ride?

Oh, and where did you get the corrorgated steel walls and roof for the buildings behind facade? (Your submarine ride building)

09-02-2005, 09:25 PM
mmillz, those are pieces of top gun custom scenery pack i believe

and AT Mad, incredible park! the coasters are amazing!! i simply love your cave sub. ride...you make it so realistic looking!!...i love it.... i can't wait to see more...btw about your park entrance letters... is that "N" supposed to be switched around?

great park...can't wait for DL and any vids

09-03-2005, 07:22 AM
Thanks for the coments ;)

Do I sense a theme of Thorpe Park

Its weird all my good parks always seem to be alot like thorpe park, and ive never even been there, im suprised i dont make them like Alton Towers :haha:

BTW, can you tell me how your were able to make that transfer track on the coaster intersect the the original ride?

Well i cant remember just now but its a cheat that you put in your Options.txt look in the Thread in veterans discussion and the code should be there somewere.

Like the overgrown ruins, also seen that on another fantastic park

Ye, i got the idear of using bushes/shrubs inside the walls from another park.

I work for a real life major amusement park and often deal with coaster manufacturers

Cool, What park do you work for?

Also they wont be an update for a while because im quite busy at the moment, ill upload a video of the BandM Coaster soon, maybe when i got a name and the surroundings finished.

09-16-2005, 05:57 PM
i love this park! I hope you get a chance to do some more work on it and post more pics!

09-16-2005, 06:35 PM
 How could I miss this park? This is incredible great! It is so detailed and so realistic. I wish, I could realy visit it! :D

09-29-2005, 04:16 PM
Thanks Bluesnake and Coasterholic14 :D
i wouldnt mind visiting it for real aswell :haha:

Anyway i apologise for the HUGE delay but ive decided to continue the park again now, heres an update its not that thrilling its the Q for the B+M which is temperaryly named Collossus, i did take another screanshot of collossus entrance/fastrack but it never saved. you can still see it slightly in the top left of that screan anyway.

09-29-2005, 04:47 PM
Very cool... good job:cool:

10-12-2005, 06:28 PM
Looks Great! But, I think the train tracks are a little to close to the queue.

10-13-2005, 11:39 AM
Last screen is quite nice, but the track is indeed a little to close to the queue, and the purple thingies look out of place... And maybe a few trees to go with the bushes would look better...

10-17-2005, 07:28 PM
anymore updates?

11-30-2005, 03:17 AM
Sorry about the huge lack of updates, im putting this park on hold untill i finish some fireworks and a firework show called Enchantment (also while im waiting for wild, im not allowed it untill christmas :( ) so hopefully i can get back on this park around christmas ;)
