Adding some update pics on construction of a new space park. This Park was originally advertised as opening on Mars. Our chief Engineer stepped off the Lunar Transport, took one look at the terain, and the proximity to Earth, walked over to the Navigation Robot and reprogrammed him with a Crowbar.

"We are on the freaking MOON! Idiot droid!" Was all that could be heard during the reprogramming.

"This is what you get when you purchase Droids from a Droid factory that was the recent target of a Jedi assult. " was also heard muttered.

First shot is the Space Port. Guests arrive on the Moon on the Lunar Transport,

This shot is a close up of the Lunar Transport ship cockpit. Some say that hiring Bender as the Captain lead to the error on where we had initially landed. (side note, We recently terminated Captain Bender, and replaced him with Robot Captain Bligh, and first mate Robot Fletcher, we hope this will not cause further delays.

Now that the supply ships are arriving at the correct destination (the suply ships were outfitted with a proper navigational computer, that actually took them to Mars, hence the delay in initial construction. Also Professor Newton had to re-calibrate the gravity field generators to work properly on the Moon) We can continue construction.

Shot from outside the Moon-O-Rail Station near the entrance to the park. You can see the Lunar Transport in the background.

Early construction photos of the AMD computer tour ride. Sponsored in part by AMD, Creative, and ATI. In a side note, we originally wanted to construct the worlds largest working computer, but Professor Newton informed us that the heat generated inside a computer that large running constanly would most likly broil our guests alive, so we opted for a simulation.

The central attraction at the Moon park is a coaster called Laser Shot! The coaster can be seen from anywhere in the park. Our original idea was to have the Laser emitters curve around the coaster track along with the turns, but Professor Newton informed us that if we could devise a way to "bend" light, we should give up coaster design and begin work on invisibility. We did not really understand what he was talking about, but we built the laser emitters to his specs. (Now if we can only figure out how to build a coaster that is capable of high speed right angle turns without killing the riders)

Anyway here are some shots on the coaster.

Side shot of entrance to Laser Shot!

Second hill on Laser Shot!

Well that is what we have built so far. We had some initial delays due to faulty droids, and a major delay when the Lunar Transport broke down and needed a new alternator and we were stuck at the repair facility for 6 hours the other day, since we had no other ride home...

I would like to thank Jcat for the custom scenery in this park. I really love the Blocks set. It was used for the entire construction of the AMD comp tour, and the Moon-O-Rail station. Also mentions for Jcats dark ride set, Cafeens letters, and KLN frames.

I would appreciate any coments on the Park and scenery design. (coments may keep me off the 4th page...) Coments on spelling and grammer errors are not nessecary. I know I cant spell, and my grammer not be good on occasion.

Thank you all for looking.

Added a new Coaster to the Moon park, called Rocket Racers. Its actually two coasters that race side by side thru the park.

This is a shot of the station for Rocket Racers. Green Team and Yellow Team

The first hill

This is the first lane change. We had to impliment lane changes, or the inside coaster had too much of an advantage.

This is a reverse angle of the first lane change, with both Rockets

This is the second lane change. The rockets race thru the top of Laser Shot! and change lanes for the final run.

A close up of the 2nd lane change with both rockets

I took some shots of the final run, but decided not to post them, as I do not want to give away the end of the race..

As always comments are welcomed.

I also like how you surrounded that coaster with laser fences. Looks pretty unique! And I wonder how this looks from an onride perspective.
But the landscape looks very plain at the moment. I`d suggest to do some terrain-editing to make it looke more like the moon or an astroid. Adding some craters would look nice.

True, its is very flat right now. I was planning on filling most of the land with buildings/rides, and then go for some crater type land in open areas. I want buildings tho, to make it look like a giant city. The FPS is getting pretty laggy as is now, and at night with all the lights, it can get unplayable.

I shot a video of Laser Shot! but have not decided on music to play during it. Its just an on ride movie, no story or anything, once I decide on music I will upload it.

Very nice looking park, I love how you themed it ^^ I would so want to ride the Laser Shot coaster. Looking forward to more pics!

That giant PC ..... :D

08-22-2005, 06:10 PM
Wow, I never saw that giant PC since not all pictures had loaded last time... That`s so funny! And very creative. I like how you did the insides!

Lol, figures Tidus243, would comment on the giant PC. Loved your giant bathroom.

I was kinda proud of the way it turned out. I got the idea for it when I was recoloring the cieling tiles from the sci-fi set, and when I did them green and grey, they looked like a motherboard, so I abandoned using them as a roof for a dif building and had to make the PC. Only part I dont like about it is having to use a car ride. Not too many space type cars to use. Haunted hotel and ghost train seemed even more out of place, besides the fact that the HH, and GT cars are too large, would have had head chopper effect in the ride.

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully I will have this park up for download soon. I have been working on it off and on, but the limited amount of sci-fi theme pieces is starting to take its toll, and sci-fi trees dont really fill the void the way pine trees can. I might turn it into a simple scenario, and let everyone have fun filling in the large empty areas.

Thanks Joe! I think you're right, releasing it as a scenery can be the best thing to do...maybe leaving in it secret places like tubes in my bathroom scenario created to build vertical drop coaster....:D

New pics.

I have not had much time to devote to the park recently. We had some more issues with the Lunar Transport, that lead to supply issues.

Robot captain Bligh was located adrift in one of the Lunar transport's escape pods. Robot Fletcher has ben charged with mutiny, his where abouts are unknown. Gah I hate droids.

We were forced to hire new humans to help with the construction of the park. Since humans require sleep, and a place to sleep, we needed to build a hotel to house them in.

So it is with great pleasure that I present Tranquility Towers.

close up of entrance to Tranquility Towers

arial view of Towers, with space port dock in background. The building to the left is the Platform leading to Rocket Racers.

We are also proud to annonce that our Kids section "Space Cadet Training Grounds" is almost complete. The kids section houses the AMD computer tour, a Laser Tag arena called "Red vs Blue" a Planitarium called "The Known Universe" (the first time this ride broke down, we all thought life was over) an arcade called "Power Supply Arcade" Gravity space Rings, and a Flying Saucer bumber car ride.

This first shot was taken from the roof of the Moon Lite Cafe. The prymid shaped building houses the Flying Saucer bumber cars

This second shot was taken from the Moon-o-Rail platform.

This is a shot of the Power Supply arcade, located behind the AMD computer tour ride

I have included a final arial shot of the entire park. The park is located in one of the larger crators on the moon's surface. As you can see, we still have a lot of room to build on.

I hope that you enjoy these new updates. Hopefully I will have updates on a new ride opening near the Space Cadet training grounds soon. The next major ride will be a suspended coaster with Flying Saucer type cars named "Lost in Space"

Thank you all for looking. Thanks espcially to Pumper for the Blocks and supports custom scenery.

Do you Think you could make a video of the computer ride?

Thanks for comment smallprint

as requested by RctGirl45, I have made a ride video for the AMD computer tour.

I have just started playing around with the camera editor, so its a bit choppy in places, but how could I deny someone that makes giant furniture.

Video is on Rapid Share

Started working on "Lost in Space" ride today. This ride is using a swinging coaster for the spaceship cars. I like the look of the flying saucer cars, they have the "Lost in Space" feel to them, but in some cases, when you have a car that seats 4 people all facing a different direction, it can get interesting when themeing this ride. I am trying to make the scenery on the ride, and the events so that all 4 riders can enjoy the ride, but will want to ride it multiple times to see it from each view. The other drawback to the swinging coaster is the high nausea factor. even with really slow curves it can be a puke generator.

"Lost in Space" the ride is going to try and bring the feel of the TV series and the movie to the riders. The ride wil launch thru a tunnel to indicate when the ship is travelling thru space at high speed. When you exit the tunnel, you will be on a strange new world. The worlds will start out with a peaceful look to them, but will get dangerous, forcing you to blast off from the planet while you continue to find your way home. Each blast off is an accelerated launch, there are no lift chains on this ride.

Here are a few teaser shots.

The first shot is the platform for "Lost in Space" it is located just off from "Space Cadet Training Ground" (kids section}

2nd shot of platform with first launch tube.

shot of the Flying saucers preparing to dis-embark.

This is the first world you will visit. Ahh a nice peaceful water planet.

Now we discover who rules this planet.

Uh Uh. Dr. Smith has disturbed the Sacred Pool. We are getting attacked, BLAST OFF!

We have come out of hyper-space on a collision course, better not stay on this planet long!

Thats what I have done so far. Still doing a lot of terraforming. You might notice walls in the distance on parts of the ride. I will eventually be enclosing the entire ride, just lifting the walls right now.

I realized that I had never given my park an official name. I designed a quick logo and named the park. This name sprang into my head last night. Not sure if it has been used before, it sounds sort of familiar.

Thank you for looking.

Great park, you have a dam good imagination !

Well done, five stars for you !

Hey, havenīt been here for a while, and I see you got some really nice updates! This park is somehow special. Very creative designs. Tranquility towers are the best example! They look great!
And I can see that you did some terraforming. Looks much more like the moon now on the overview picture. New coaster looks as if it must be huge. Nice pics! Downloading your PC-ride now.

Edit: Wow, great ride! Especially in the first part you did a nice job with all that hardware parts! And I love the music! One of my favourite songs...

Very imaginative park here. Lost in Space looks fun. (It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. "Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!!") :p

Thank you for the wonderful comments.

Shyguy, yes I liked the show as well, and tho the movie was not the best it could have been, its one of my guilty pleasures. Also praise from the creator of Wonder World is high praise indeed! I LOVE your parks.

Saskro, thank you for the comment on Tranqulity towers. I like how they turned out, but they became such a nighmare to build as they got higher and higher, that I just stopped a little to low. (I have learned from this, and now build just one floor, and copy it to custom structures and just stack it now) Also glad that you enjoyed the Ride video. Was my first ride vid, and it shows. I also included the overview pic for you. You were right about terraforming, it really needed it. Word of advice to others, terraform FIRST! Its a pain to terraform after half your park is built.

I sorta placed the park on hold for a bit. Was getting frustrated with the way "Lost in Space" was turning out, kept looking more like a time travel ride, and not the planet hopping ride I wanted, so I deleted most of it. The Water planet and the Volcano planet are still there, but I think that might be the only two planets, the ride will most likly end in a spaceship resembling the deserted ship in the movie. (haunted space ship :) )

I have been working on a new Resort park. I posted a teaser of it in the Atlantis ride theme contest.

I was just going to make a quickie ride, but fell in love with the Atlantis theme set, and a small water slide turned into a massive vacation resort.

So now like everyone else, I am working on multiple parks. I have to switch between them, or else the temptation to just throw down a bunch of flatrides and be done with it can get overwhelming.

I finally got around to completing the ride video for LaserShot!

I shot the actual ride well before I started on a lot of the park. I then added some shots of the coaster on the track. I had to delete half my park in order to get a good enough FPS rate to shoot the video.

DL is located on rapidshare. If you are new to using rapidshare, once you click on the link, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on free, that will take you to teh actual DL page. Scroll to the bottom of that page for the file.

LaserShot! ride video

Its a low quality video (8.59M). I shot a high quality vid, buts its over 60M so I might re-edit it to below 50M and release it if anyone wants it.

Also if anyone can recomend a good quality video edit program please PM me. Windows MM crashed over 20 times while making this!
