Hi all, here's a new fully themed coaster for you to doanload: Velocity Air-Powered Racing Coasters. This download requires that you have Soaked! and Stuk71's Hangar51 custom scenery set.

http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/Pic00.JPG

http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/tPic01.JPG (http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/Pic01.JPG)http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/tPic02.JPG (http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/Pic02.JPG)http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/tPic03.JPG (http://www.vodhin.net/Coasters/AirPower/Velocity12/Pic03.JPG)

This download is a ZIP file with two Air Powered tracks inside. Track 1 is a stand alone track without anything special about it. Track 2, however, is saved with the scenery around the entire ride, including special custom scenery from Stuk71: the Hangar51 scenery pack.

Download this fast racing coaster set and extract the two files into your coasters folder. If you havent already go the Hangar51 Scenery, you should get that, to. Follow the instructions for that scenery pack to install it. The ride is intended to be placed on flat terrain. Some scenery may not load right in the land is uneven.

When you are ready to place this ride, start with track 2, since you may need to adjust the height of the track. Once track 2 is inplace, track 1 will line up just right in only spot.

http://www.vodhin.net/Icon/blSave.PNG Download The Ride (http://www.vodhin.net/RCT3Community/request.php?145) (Requires Soaked!)
http://www.vodhin.net/Icon/blObjectEdit.PNG Download The Hangar51 Custom Scenery (http://www.vodhin.net/RCT3Community/request.php?102)

Anyone up for an experiment? It is my understanding that regular RCT3 rides saved with scenery (a feature added by Soaked!) should still be usable by folks without the Soaked! expansion pack installed. I invite anyone who doesn't have Soaked! to try placing this ride and let me know what happens- I'm not sure, but I think it will load ok, but with out any scenery.

I also would like anyone wothout the Hangar51 custom scenery to try this as well, again, it is my understanding that the ride should place just fine, but without the station building. Please post any results so we know exactly what happens.

Thanks for the compliments, YHN and mazeinies! This is going to be a little side project this fall, trying to make good coasters out of all the odd-ball tracks and theme them nicely. I'll try to get one out every week or so... Maybe I'll make this my 'odd-ball coaster thread'...

Speaking of nightmares in summer- I keep waking up from one dream where my hair's all falling out! hehehe.... That's real, I mean it- I gotta stop munching before bed...

Part 3 will hopefully come out in late September- now that Summer's gone, we'll have more time for this kind of fun... :D

I have the paths above the actual loading platform, under the tall roof, and the queue runs down the front and the exit comes up from the back. Man, I wish paths saved with the ride...

Actually, I don't have AA on at all- andsorry to say, the images were shrunk with MS Photo Editor (a really basic editor)- which maked the pics look more jagged :bulb:

I'm using an ATI Radeon9800pro.

Wow, amazing ride. But are you trying to kill the peeps with those un-banked turns? Or is it I just cant see the banking.

My thougths exactly. Atari, Frontier, if you read this, pls add paths to the scenery that can be saved with a track.

I checked if you can bank the first turn, and you can. The coaster works great with it. So if you want banked turns, just edit it, like I do. I'm sure that Vodhin has no problems if we edit it a little, as long as we don't call it our coaster!

The banked turn track section looks rediculous (0 to 45 in about 1 foot or 'real' space), and the ride is actually slow enough not to need it. You can just click any curve in closed mode and then choose the backed turn in the build menu- the game will replace the track.

Sure you can edit it, as much as you want- if you make if different enough, why not call it your own? :D
