No offense taylorosky but it isnt exchange worthy really, maybe add some scenery?

live_the_thrill
08-29-2005, 11:38 PM
Wardly beat me to it, it is nothing, no scenery, no terrain, no nothing, so what if you are new, no reason you cant add theming.

Also it looks like you are making a hyper coaster of some sort, in that case you dont want a floorless car.

As far as being a noob and building a coaster, this is nothing new. When you're just starting off, it is better to worry about excitement and intensity than the way it looks. Practice and get your skills down, then start adding things like themeing and tunnels. Eventually you will be able to build a great park without much trouble. As far as it being your first/one of your first it looks good, your banking the turns, not putting them at the bottom of hills, so it looks good. Better than my first coasters which averaged 15+ intensity.

also, uhmmm...you shouldnt quote images. Next time just say it and dont double post. Coaster would look good with some themeing. So design a park around it and theme it and there you go a great first coaster!;)

:bored:Not trying to flame you, or get you mad at me, but the answer is no. Look at a few of the other coasters, and parks people built and posted here. You will see they are all (well almost all) top notch. You coaster design looks pretty good, but it has no theming. Look at other people's parks or my park (in sig) and you will see that they all have extensive theming whiich is what makes the so good. If you are new to this game then this coaster is pretty good, but not good enough to show off here. Go back look at other peoples parks, learn from them, theme your coaster, and post it again here. I don't expect an amazingly themed coaster if your new to this game, but a little theming wouldbe nice. Don't get mad at me for what I said I'm just trying to help you become a better park builder. Hopefully I'll see more coasters from you with a lot of theming.
Take your time and remember to theme:)

taylorosky, raise/lower the terrain, add water, theme it out, place some trees around it and there you go! But most importantly, use your imagineation!http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/blackeye/Smilecrunch.gif

Hey, I know you lot are complaining about lack of scenery - but issues aside these are very well planned coasters. I love the layouts! Don't say this isn't exchange worthy; the exchange is here so that anyone can show anyone any of their work.

Hi, are you really looking for Warning points by double posting three times in one thread? If so, I can sure supply them.
Please do NOT double post, use edit.

taylorosky
08-30-2005, 01:37 PM
Accually i kinda took the name from six flags, but i don't see what is wrong with that?:weird:

Start posting your images and stuff the rest of my park is under way.

And what deos double posting mean?

double posting is replying to your own reply with no one else answering in between

That coaster is starting to look good. Those trees and that lake make it look a lot better! This is now "exchange worthy".

lol@the double posting

Ok, anyways...

When you start with themeing, add the basics; a station, some trees, and paths. If you have the time, use pumper's supports (search steelworx in this exchange forum) Maybe add some terrain. For tunnels, you can choose to either use underground ones or ones above ground. If you choose with using above ground tunnels, which is quite alot more common in real life, it will be tough having to use scenery pieces to do it, maybe you want to raise ground and texture it to pretend it's a building rather than terrain. When you move on, you can get advanced and add all sorts of random landscaping, like waterfalls. Or choose a theme for it, like using atlantis style buildings. It really depends on your taste, whether you just like making large amusement park style rides (like CP's and SF's rides), or elaborately themed theme park rides. (like disney's rides) Combining both thrills and theming is probably the best way to go, but you won't get those type of rides where you use animatronics since the ride is going too fast for it to be any good.

There all right. MUCH better with the scenry, though I've seen better. Wait till u see Quantum Whiplash in my "Ed,Edd,n' Eddy's Cul-de-sac of Thrills". Also make sure u listen well to the mods. One time I 6X posted my first day of the forum, and I saw why they didn't want 6X posting. Takes too much room, and replying to ur own post.

"Superman the Escape" is actually a very famous and popular ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

http://www.sixflags.com/parks/magicmountain/Rides/superman.html

" Superman goes from zero to 100 miles-per-hour in just seven seconds. This ultimate roller coaster towers a record-breaking 41 stories into the sky, leaving riders in the air for 6.5 seconds of weightlessness! It is the first ride to reach speeds of 100 miles-per-hour."

If you like this ride, why not attempt to recreate it?

I have a sugestion for a new name for your coaster. How about "Blatant Bump"? That name will incorporate all of your hills along with your disregard for the forum rules.

I hate even posting in this thread, because it will just give you another excuse to pop in and self bump reply with a quick and pointless post.
