In case some of you who downloaded this pack didn't notice, there are some other scenery items on that site (http://battor.77.free.fr/indexrct3/download.php?jeu=rct3&type=objets) that might interest you.

Speaking of which, I have also downloaded your Disney pack, Battor77, and I was wondering if you are going to add anything else on it, as it is a Beta release. In any case, this is excellent work - now we have some variety in those speakers. Very good job!

Extract the files to C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\Style\Theme

Sorry if it's an inconvenience. I put the file into the Theme folder as I have done with all custom scenery. My game crashed as soon as I opened the scenery tab.
It has been fine until then.
Anyway, Thanks for the help.

I was trying to download the speakers pack and it didn't work. I posted a reply stating that the link given wasn't working. Unfortunately I quoted the link and was almost banned for doing so. Apparently OFFENSIVE content!

I think I found what you were talking about Quasimodo, without going into great details, here's the deal:

The "theme" in question had a graphic pic in it of sexual content & I'm guessing you posted a link to it someplace, unaware that the "regular/original" pic had been changed. That's what the problem was, but since you didn't know about the changed pic, it's not your fault & it has since been changed as far as I know.

No problem & no need to leave ;)

Is there any text like "No :svd for :sinD" or else?

If not, maybe you should wait some seconds. If I select a speaker the game's frozen for about one second, then everything goes.

I had the same problem.
I think it's something to do with how you install them?

What did you do???

At first I installed them into my documents and then copied them to the 'Style/themed' folder.
I think this is what caused it but am not sure why.
When I installed them directly it worked fine!

10-04-2005, 02:44 PM
Wow they look cool. Can't download atm, but they do look cool. From what I make out of them, you can play music on the spotlight? Heh, nice attempt anyway, but maybe you could get the spot lights to shine a big white light out or somthing? Or even better - recolourable light? But hey, I ain't saying this is bad - This is brilliant :) Nice Job.

Damn, the speakers don't work for me. I keep getting this 'No :svd for :sid' message. I've unzipped all the files to atari/style/themed folder

Can anyone help me out? i've looked through this thread http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=486807&perpage=30&highlight=&pagenumber=5 but can't find any other directions than just to install the files to the themed folder (unless i've missed something?)

For the record i'm using uk version soaked+wild (with nightcrawler patch installed)

Any help would be great.
Matt

flaminlambo
11-13-2005, 08:57 AM
make sure you unzipped them to this directory: C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\Style\Themed
thats where all scenery goes, and it works for me. (you should have a folder called "enceintes", containing 8 folders and 2 .ovl files)
hope that helps;)

bored_dude02
11-13-2005, 09:27 AM
hmmm, i have more than 2 .ovl files.

I've downloaded the winzip folder from http://battor.77.free.fr/dl.php?id=546 and this is the content -

http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/2844/screen7wh.jpg

and from there i just drag all those files straight in to style\themed - right? Or do i have to create a folder for the .ovl files? If so, what do i have to name the folder(s)?

Thanks,
Matt

flaminlambo
11-13-2005, 09:56 AM
you dont really have to use winzip, just right click in the zip file, and click on extract all. that should open a wizard, then click next, copy C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\Style\Themed into the directory space, then click next...
the finished product looks like \/http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1518/untitled5xy.jpg
(all the folders contain .ovl files)
btw, i dont have the wild update pack, so it may be different now.
once again, i hope this helps;)

I've downloaded the set and tried it, they DO NOT work with the wild expansion pack. I believe that they need to be reexported as in:

Battor does such great work. But most of his stuff while it works in soaked does crash with the sid error in wild. Especially the toons but the speakers sometimes work and at other times get a no sid error. So they will need a simple recompile through Jonwil's latest importer before they will be ready. But once they are, we should be cranking again.

Thanks Battor for all you have done for the RCT3 community.

Firstly, I have the english version of RCT3, and the speakers don't make sound. They act like any other useless piece of scenery. I have placed them all into the correct folders, and, when I click on them, I don't have the option to change the details, I only have the option to delete the object. Any ideas?

EDIT: Oops, I've just realised that "RCT3: Soaked!" is needed for this pack to work. That's another thing to add to my Christmas List.

Secondly, would it be possible for you to make 'ride event' speakers? Perhaps to play a sound as the ride passes a piece of scenery?

The site where he put the CS can't be found anymore. Battor77 hasn't uploaded the CS to another site and to host a file on your own site you'll have to get permission from Battor77 which is pretty difficult because Battor77 hasn't been online for well, a loooooooong time.

The message I las posted was about what Flying Dutchman said. This isn't the available set. It also doesn't look like any of the sets are on NetOn, but if one download is working again, other ones will probably bee coming soon as well. Just keep checking UOR for the sets and, if you can, post the downlad link here so that there are no more replies about it not working.

you should extract to your desktop first, then move the CS folder into your C:/Program Files/Atari/Rollercoaster Tycoon3/Style/Theme folder. Then in the props, statues menu (the icon that has the dice and game piece figure) scroll down until you find this set. If you still dont find it, then make sure you installed the set correctly. alot of peeps dont know the french language, but the tabs on each window to install are the same as the english version.
