1: where do i save them, folder-wise?
2: if i put custom scenery in my parks, do i need to:
a: tell people my park has custom scenery for whatever reason?
b: acknowledge whos' scenery is in it?

1. It depends (check that person's custom scenery thread) but most of the time you extract it to C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster TycoonŽ 3\Style\Themed.

a. Yes, If the other people don't have the custom scenery installed that your park used it will not run properly.
b. No rule that says you have to, but I would

b: i agree to ackknowledge others' work; if i download too many sets i'll forget who created what, though, so i just got 2: frameworks (to make bridges) and hangar 51.

You can always keep a text file on your computer that says who created what sets. Also, many scenery creators put their name in the title of the set, which shows up in-game.
