Ok, there is alot of work to be done here, but in order to move any further, I need some help. Here is what I have so far.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/SnakeArch.jpg
This is an archway in the shape of a snake's mouth, it looks really cool in the game, but I have yet to get it just right.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/DoublePlank.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/Plank.jpg
These are 1/3 tile wide wooden planks that will allow people to create their own bridges, since the presence of a real "wooden plank" is noticably absent from the game.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/GreatShotOfMara.jpg
This is the Mara Skull in the big "Bridge of Death" Room

the reason I have come to you with so few pictures is I am in need of some help from everybody. I need some help finding pictures of certain things that will help me make panels and objects that will truly make this the "indiana jones ride" set.

First off, here is my plan

definite additions
"Build your own" giant snake pieces
Wall mountable snakes <Close to finishing>
Mara Idol <Finished!!!>
Mara <Finished!!!>
Vines and plants to hang from the walls and ceiling
Skeleton Warrior Panels
Ghost Panels

possible additions
Indy (modeling people is very hard for me)
Snake panels

Ok, here are the things that I will need
(items marked with a * are ESSENTIAL for this set)

-picture of the skeletons from the ride in the dart room*
-pictures of the ghosts from parts of the ride
-pictures of the snake from the ride*

Thanks in advance for your help, I will try to make this set as good as possible. This is my first time using custom scenery, so I hope my first set will turn out as good as the other ones that were released on the forums.

Hey, I'll do the Indy logo in .3DS or whatever program you're using if you like, I've got the font and colouring already set up because I made a indy-rip-off ride in RCT3 and made a video of it...

that's alright, Thanks alot for the pictures. I could really use these for textures and templates for the set. I will post an update soon, as soon as I finish the "build your own giant snake" models.

I thought I would show you the way my set will work. Most of the items are going to be facades. The reason for this is that having advanced objects with high polygon counts can slow down gameplay. As well, the objects are simple enough to provide maximum versitility. For example, this may be the indiana jones set, but you can replace the texture of a certain item to fit another ride better. (must have source models)

Here is a screenshot of the wall mountable Mara Facade.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/EyesOfMara.jpg

More will come soon. Please Keep in mind that most of these models are temporary and will change to be better looking or something like that after I figure out how to fix each error in the game.

I dont like it it is to flat and i think you should really try to make it 3d for extra realism
Good luck

Well, The problem with that is that the object is a wall mountable object, so it has to be somewhat flat on the side which lines up with the wall. The object protrudes on the other side, which you cannot see from the picture because it is a front view.

Does Anybody know how to fix this?
Each wall seems to have a different shadow, and stacked walls aren't treated as such. The same thing happens at night, where lights are shining off of them.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/ASSAS/Custom%20Scenery/BlooblyWalls.jpg

The walls only look like they are supposed to when the light is shining on them at a certain time of day. During that time, they look fine. Does Anybody know how to get them to look like this all of the time.

DRP, your using Milkshape aren't you? Try clicking on the Select tab & make sure to select Vertex in the Select Options & then draw a box around the entire wall to select all verticies. Once those are all selected/highlighted go into the toolbar & click on Vertex & in the drop down box click on Unweld & then reimport the wall into the game & see if that fixes it.

I'll try it. I don't mean to sound like I have no idea what I am doing. I just don't know what works and what doesn't. Thanks for the help.

I can barely wait to start making parks with these.

You 3D scenery guys are fantastic. I don't know if Braben or Frontier realises even the value you guys are all adding to the RCT3 platform or the longevity if Atari realises what they have. But you guys are making this platform a very valuable one.

And to my great buddy Jonwil...da man. Thanks for your help bud. You made it all possible for these great 3D people.

I am just so excited at this DRP. You Max, Pumper MNM and the rest are all awesome people.

A Santa's Village has been missing for a very longtime. There are scattered remnants of Winter theming even the snow scenario, but no Santa's Village stuff as of yet.

I think, like a Santa's Castle, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Snow Princess Dark Ride, Abominable Snowman including Giant one, Ice Statues, frozen pond tiles, iclecles, Elf's Toy Shop Scenery, Ice Park and even backdrops to place around the Thunder Bobs would be cool.

But yeah that is a very cool idea doing a Xmas theme would be a welcomed sight for the community.
