View Full Version : What we really need...

The community scenerymakers are the greatest! But we have enough castle stuff and generic walls, we are getting some main street stuff too. But what we still don't have via Frontier and really need are a few simple things and one scenry pack.

First and foremost, we need either a drop over prefab single building to cover the carousel or scenery pieces to construct this traditional building found in almost every amusement park where there is an older carousel. Including the spiral roof too.

We also need a scenery Wurlitzer Music Machine which can be assigned a song such as a wurlitzer song for the carousel. Perhaps when it can become animated we will get this as well.

For scenery we need a Winter Village, Santa's Village Christmas pack. This just does not exist at all and its the one theme that remains missing on all fronts. Whether Atari will remain politically correct and leave Santa out, I don't care. The community scenerymakers can easily fill this in. Ice Castles, Elf Toyshops, Santa's Castle, A-Frame cabin, Ginger Bread House like Hansel and Gretal, snow covered spruce and pine trees, snow covered bushes, giant snow capped mushrooms with colored dots, animal scenery like elks, reindeers, perhaps a vacant sleigh as well as one with Santa Aboard, custom signs for the bill boards, giant elf statues a giant Santa, abominable snowman and likewise scenery, snow cave scenery and custom snow capped rocks. a frozen waterfall, a frozen til to build a custom lake including rounded edges, we need all this. There are tons of spooky scenery but nothing for a Santa's Village and I will presume being Politically Correct, has something to do with it. I hope not.

Anyhow this would go a long way to filling that void. Hope some of you great scenerymakers get a glimpse of this.

Not into the carousel stuff that much, but some of your ideas are interesting, some rather essencial. (like the snow covered roofs and trees)

We are also missing the beautiful Oriental scenery set that relates to over a third of the worlds population.

I would love to have the curved detailed roofs and paper walls. The artfully created wooden walls with colorful dragons of different types on them. Some pathways that have dragon railing for stairs. The Buddha statues are a must have. How about different size pagodas. Some dancing geisha girls would be nice. Maybe a sushi restaurant and an Egg drop soup stall. Large silk flags that move like they are being blown by the wind would look great. Imagine the different plant types they could include.

The list can go on and on just like the Energizer bunny.

All of these ideas are great ones, and i've posted a few object ideas as well at one time or another, but it's up to the object creators to create these ideas that we have. I know it does take time to do this, and for the creators to take time out of there busy schedule to build them.....Maybe someone has already started any of these, then maybe not! I guess we'll have to see. I somewhat think that the creators are waiting to see what the majority of us would like to have created, so that they can create mainly for everyone, not just for one.Don't get me wrong here, I'm not bashing anyone,or their ideas. If i could make custom objects i would,But i can't. That's why we have such great custom creators. And like the others, I'll just have to wait 'till the next custom object/scenery pack is released!!!!:D

A lot of this needs are mentioned in the Wishlist-boards before.

I agree that we really need some winter-stuff (maybe because christmas is so near and anyone has now the wish to build a xmas-related park.) But it looks like, that all creators here are still work on their own current projects. I'm sure a few of them have similar objects on their To-Do-list.

Atari has talked about a "Frosted"-Pack somewhere, but if this will ever see the light of the day is written in the stars.

Well that is arguable. Maybe YOU have enough...

Anyhow what I would make if I were to make anything is an art deco theme, an Asian theme, and more western scenery such as better walls, windows and saloon friggin doors both in a closed and open position since it isn't possible to make them actually work.

Winter items would come in handy though.

Now the carousel building is a challenge I have been sketching some ideas but it would require something dramatically different than what anyone has done so far.

I wouldn't want to see it as a big scenery item so I have been working out how to break it into pieces on the grid. All I can say is it would not be easy, from what I know so far, to center it on the small carousel we have now but I think it is possible for anyone willing to mess with the geometry.

How about dome pieces like these

The little carousel in RCT3 would be lost in that dome :)

The supports of the dome remind me to Klinn's Framework-Scenery. Maybe he can modify his models a little bit, that we "only" need some roof-parts.

I've got a few things on the way, but anyone else can feel free to make some more winter "goodies" ;) There's more than this, but it's all I have pics of at the moment.

They look really cool ... especially the snowman. I really love him. Maybe you could make the sign at the pole a little bit bigger. I think, this would be one of the most appreciated additions. Thanks a lot and keep on with that great stuff.

Anyway, I get the impression that no matter how much Frontier adds to this in terms of scenery, there will never be enough. :) Because personally, I could always use more.

Would that include more than just Chinese and Japanese buildings? :)

You can now get the Carousel Housing at MaxInfinity's Specials at his mirror site here...

The cover is 5X5 and just drops over the entire carousel. In fact you can make a walk around path around your carousel. The structure and spire atop it are both colorable. As usual Max's work continues to astound. No downloading restrictions so have lots of fun with this. A speaker based scenery Wurlitzer #165 Band Organ I believe will be forthcoming as well...Merry Christmas everyone and special thanks to Super Max for this great gift to the community. I am both humbled and very grateful!

Oh PS, that small "THING" in the center is the carousel

Thank you Sebar, and thank you MaxInfinity!

That carousel roof looks tremendous... Downloaded and about to be tested... (I also took the oppurtunity to check out the images from the forthcoming DC set... Quite a few...pheew......)

Merry Christmas!

No walls, just drop it over a 5X5 square area. I told Max I expect a Grand Carousel will be about this size so we made it 5X5 though a more standard carousel might actually be about 4X4 if Frontier makes it.

The other thing we need is that Wurlitzer Band Organ. Thos machines are traditionally at most parks with carousels. The newer carousels of course have a built in electronic sound system, but there is something very special about watching a Band Organ especially if it doesn't run on electricity but vacuum operated. So hopefully SuperMax will get a speaker item that is one of those so you can play your carousel tunes through it.

The item works fine in wild too.

By the way it only took Max about an hour to make this, which leads me to the basic question why didn't Frontier's wizards put one out?
