If you have plans for further additions to your current themes, maybe this few pics can help you ... or just enjoy them.

P.S. All models are for Max 3D.

RCT Spanky... you got me a bit confuzzled...(yeah, you read it right...)

Those buildings look absolutely gorgeous! It is not something that you have created yourself, is it? Those are instruction models for the 3D program, or...? Is that even possible to make, and have imported into RCT3?
'Cause if it is, Shyguy or Iceatcs or MaxInfinity probably WILL create stuff like this and I will never ever be able to stop playing RCT3, and probably lose my job and my girlfriend (the latter is already about to happen...)

Maybe I have to get a 3D program myself and build The Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Hagia Sofia in Constantinople and Camelot and the Jedi Temple and El Dorado and Circus Maximus and...

Oh well, nevermind... I'll retire a happy RCT3-addict, so what...

I wish I could do that by myself. But I'm on my way, to try my first objects in 3DMax.

Is that even possible to make, and have imported into RCT3?

I think, that's possible, cause, they are models for 3dMax. If I'm right, MaxInfinty use 3dMax too, and he wrote somewhere here in this board, that you can convert 3Dmax objects to RCT3.

I have the models too, if someone will keep his hands on this.

Great looking models in those pics RCT-Spanky, but those have so much detail, they'd probably cause a lot of lag in the game unless they were simplified.

Those would be great additions if someone could get the file sizes down enough & keep them looking good.

Most of those objects can easily be simplified, by straighten the windows and things to one wall and create the depth with textures :) Though the objects look good, the are not that hard to make, all straight lines etc. Good objects to start with as a beginner, to see how to use depth and texturing :) About simplifying, I don't have the time for it, while I'm doing some low poly stuff for a website.

Very nice but Marne is right, there's far to much detail on these to make them viable for import into rct, you could do it but you would have to loose a lot of the detail or replace it with textures.
the 3ds file will also be just a few meshes, rather than wall pieces placed together which means you would have to break it up to be able to use it for other things. theres a triple window in one of the pics and I estimated that it was probably around 500 polys just for that piece, so you can imagine what the whole building would be.
Its amazing what can be achieved when you have no restictions.
Maybe when we have all got 10 terahertz machines.

about the community getting carried away with scenerymaking that they would end up making elustrious items that break the game. Its gotta be kept simple or that is exactly what will happen. Having 3D stuff is great and the more the better, but the poly count for this game engine must be kept as low as possible or the game goes RIP!

And you don't want users to go from this :D to this

I'm a little bit angry about Atari or that bug. I have buyed a new computer with 1 GB Ram and 256 MB ATI-Graphic Card and the objects always dissapear in the same way as on my Laptop with 512 MB and 128 shared Graphic-Adapter.

I think, they must really reork the engine of the game or they should release a patch that solve this problem. But i think, i can wait forever for this patch.

That's true, he did say that, which is another reason why they should help set up guidelines if they don't want to follow through on what they said about 'supporting' modding, just as your open letter said. I'm sure there's a lot of information they could help with that wouldn't step on their toes for future expansions if that's what they are worried about.

So far it seems the stuff everyone is creating seems to actually be things people want and can use, so I'm not sure they are infringing on Frontier's territory...

Hi there,

some of these buildings are available as model kits (www.vollmer-kit.de (search the "Online-Katalog" for "Bankhaus", or www.faller.de, just look for "Programm", "Spur H0" and "Art.-Nr." 130385" ... ) ;) ,made of plastic, very nice looking (I have some of them as a backround for my model-fun fair...

Faller offers some beautiful fairground attractions, such as Break-Dance, Freefall-Tower, Wild-Mouse, "Jupiter" Ferris-Wheel, ...

This models are also great to inspire you for your next park-projects. A lot of this buildings look perfect on a Main Street.

And why not try somethin' different as another Disneyland Re-Creation.
