After not being able to figure out lighting effect points to make neon lighting. (hopefully some one will figure it out and I can go back and try the neon lighting again)

I have started work on a scenery set that will future plan textured recolorable walls. There will be about 30 pieces in this set and I will be hopefully posting up more info and screen shots this week.

Hopefully I will get this set done sooner but I don’t see it getting done for about a month.

I know this is a double post but please be understanding because I have some important decisions to make that I can use your help on.

I have decide to spend time to getting my files organized know from the begging intend of having problems later on. The set will contain around 30 modals (list coming soon) and each modal will have a light and a dark recolorable texture so hear is my questions:

what is the max amount of scenery items allowed in one set?

If I can put 64 pieces (the maximum amount of pieces I think you could put in one set) would that be ok or is 64 pieces of scenery too much for on set and I should divided it into two sets?

Pleas reply I would really like to hear you opinions on this.

64 is fine, and as far as I'm aware there are no limits.

The number of pieces in a given set affects the user-friendliness of the set. More objects means more scrolling...

Time for an update

This set will now contain 15 models (the 15 piece set will be just as vestal as the 30 piece set) in light and dark textures in all different texture settings. Right know there will be stranded walls, reflective walls, and glass walls (I might make more depending on textures I come up with(any scenery creators have texture settings that they think I should try) Since as of know there would be at list 90 pieces of scenery there will be multiple scenery sets I am hoping to get the first one out with in 2 – 4 weeks. All the pieces in this set will be set to Quarter tile placement to make them more versatile and be recoverable.

In the picture the top row = white / the bottom row = black / (going from right to left) the first two column = glass / 3rd and 4th column = reflective / and the last two = plan texture

Sounds good, I hate the colored wall set from Atari. It's really ugly and tacky.

Hey Costersim.fan.... You may want to consider making it so the 1/2 tile wall pieces are able to be placed either on the edges of the tile... or in the center... which would be more flexible for useage. Just my opinion.

Cant wait for this to be released.

In future when taking screenshots, don't take them on the dark side. It means people can't see them easily.(in the shadows.)

Getting any closer finishing this set?

I don’t have any screen shots to show at this time. Due to being busy progress on the imports really hasn’t gotten much further. But I figured I would give you some more information about what I am hoping to include in this set. All the walls are set to quarter tiles like shyguy’s scenery sets and along with the full size walls there will be ½ and ¼ (in with as well) also all the full , ½ and ¼ walls will have pieces 1 high 2 high and three high. It think this set will give some interesting possibilities to the game especially if you like making dark rides.

This set has been put on hold for now, but that doesn’t mean I am not working on scenery. I continued to work on it for a wile and actual was working on some different ides to add to the set as I learned more about the game. Also being a perfectionist many times I would make pieces over and over till the texture looked exactly how I wanted. Well one of the things I learned has known made its way in to its own set the new set started around a month ago. All I will say for know is the new set is over 20 pieces and growing rapidly and there will probably be an announcement some time soon.

good good

two things:

half-grid pieces = twice as good
1*1 wall size glass pieces w/ no frame, so you can make seamless glass pieces w/ no collision detection on a half-grid = :)

All my pieces are set to quarter grid like shyguy’s sets. As for glass walls some were being put in to the set. The pieces I was making had no border but if you put two pieces next to each other you can tell that there two septet pieces (you can see a little line) but there is really nothing I can do that just how the game renders the glass pieces.
