Merry Christmas to you all. After many months here is my new "Fun Pier". It is a cool place both retro and with older and newer rides, including many themed dark rides and some awesome coasters like "Moby Dick", An old woodie with a nasty right twist and steep fast hills. Or "The Kona Express" a non stop fast steel twister that tempts fate with riders passing near the exploding Volcano and rides like the Flying Dutchman Dark Ride, Kon Tiki Ride, Flipper Show and lots more.

Both the Park and Scenario are available for downloads. The scenario should proove long and challenging for a good portion of time. That's if you are up to it, otherwise have fun exploring and riding the rides on a cool "Fun Pier"...

Now what will you need to load this Pier properly....Here goes.

You will need the following items installed. RCT3, Soaked, Wild Expansions. The following user created Scenery is also required.

MaxInfinity's Gothic Set available here http://www.sebar.com/max (http://www.sebar.com/max)

ShyGuys Mainstreet sets 1&2 Installed they are available here http://www.sebar.com/shyguy (http://www.sebar.com/shyguy)

Thought more people would notice this big gem, but it seems I probably would have been better posting it in the parks section.

It actually on a faster machine should be quite excellent and coasters like the Kona Express are really cool to ride.

I studied a lot of the remaining East Coast Piers before I decided on this layout. It is not based on any particular place and this allowed me a lot of artistic freedom and imagination.

I wanted to create a pier that retained an older retro feel with the darkrides and some buildings. Thanks to MaxInfinity's Carousel cover and wurlitzer it added to the realism. Than I wanted to throw in some of the newer rides and coasters too. So the pier is a blend of both old and new. I do wish that the chairlift actually had enclosed gondolas, but I have noted some piers do use open chairlifts so this is not out of the norm for this project. The wurlitzer by max came in particularly handy...

...What I might do is go out here to the Santa Monica Pier or the Glen Ellen Looff Carousels with a micro-cassette recorder and record some of the wurlitzer tunes on tape. Since the rolls of songs are mostly public domain at this point, I could than clean em up with soundforge and save them as mp3's to include with my parks. I actually have an old recording but the actual recording itself is copyrighted so I cannot release this. But I may go out and start recording carousel tunes. The recordings would than be my own to use as I see fit. Older songs like "The Band Played On, or Yankee Doodle plus stuff from turn of the century" music should do the trick.

I think the Santa Monica Pier still has a Wurlitzer Model 150, I'll have to doublecheck this. If its the one at POP it might be a Wurlitzer Model 125 Band Organ. Most are cosmetics. Its also interesting to note they work on vacuum hoses rather than standard electricity. Ingenious how the great grandfolks used Band Organ's like this and steam powered cars!

As for the other expansions It isn't as easy to download them here so you will need to find the links elsewhere in the Atari forums.

Marnetmar's Dark Ride Pack....for a link check the Atari forums for where you can easily and quickly download this from ;)

Pumper's Dark Ride set, again check the Atari forums for the link where you can download this from ;)

Fixed the original post...that should make it easier for people to get updated with the scenerypacks, sorry for any hassles it created.
