View Full Version : Waterfall Bay Scenario

This is a scenario that I am really proud of. I will admit that it's a rather easy one to do, but because of the amount of time I spent making the map and creating the parts of the park that I did, I wanted to share it. Most of the objectives center around park ratings, monthly shop, ride and pool profits. You start out with one ride that is broken down and the mechanic hasn't quite reached it yet. You will need to have the Soaked expansion pack to play this scenario. I designed this island park after following some map and scenery tutorials by Vodhin and Old Timer. They both have some great tutorials at Vohdin.Net (http://www.vodhin.net). I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. I'd love any kind of feedback that you want to give me. Thanks for taking a look at my scenario. Let me know if you have any problems getting to this link. If it doesn't work, I'd be happy to send it via email.

Maybe some screenshots would convince me to download & play it..

Indeed, if I can't see a preview of what I'm getting, i'm not going to risk getting it.

I realized after I had posted this that I should probably post some screen shots, but as of yet hadn't had any time to get some taken. As soon as I post this, I'll go get some taken for you guys and post them here for you to see. This was my first time posting a scenario, so I hope you forgive my 'newbie'ness.:hitting-self:

That's tight! Cool looking Island

Considering most people who post threads without screenshots do so because their park looks like poop, your a happy exception. This park looks really pretty, I'm impressed.

Some suggestions if you are still looking for some: perhaps remove the trees from the waterfront all around the island. They aren't known to spring out of the sand. Just move them into the grass and that won't look so unnatural. The foodcourt looks great, I would have placed it closed to the water for some exquisite views but nonetheless it looks very functional, and the woody coaster looks neat too. Will have to check this one out!

Thanks for the suggestion and the compliments. I'm a mother of four, so I don't have a lot of spare time to work on these. I think collectively it took me about twelve hours to get this up and running, but that spanned about five days when I could manage the time to work on it. I'm currently working on a winter scenario, I'm just trying to find some winter scenery items to use in it. If you know where I might find some, that would be great! Thanks again.

Yeah like Theo said, the trees look a bit unnatural this way. I find it also strange that there are trees at the edge of the island, but on the island itself there aren't any.. Looks like dangerous windsurfing too, good that there is a path to follow or surfers could dive of the waterfall hehehe. I don't like the foodcourt that much, but that's a mather of taste. Does the wooden coaster have good stats? It seems a bit heavy to me, with a big drop when going underground...

I absolutely love the terrain, except for one of the waterfalls is too thin, but everything else about it is great...

But the buildings and rides are an exception, I know that most scenarios have a few rides, but to be entirely honest, this one would look much better without, maybe a nicely done castle or something, but what you've got just isn't cutting it. Sorry, and the trees could use some work.

I think it looks great! Can't wait to play it. I'll let you know how I feel about it once I get it downloaded and mess with it some, but as of right now, I think I'm going to like it a lot!
