View Full Version : Park Entry -- Atlantis & 2 Egypt -- NEW Egypt Colonnade

I've created a Park Entrance for an Atlantis themed park. It's available to share to anyone who wants it.

The entrance building encases 2 standard park entrances. Peep entry points can be placed on the outside walk. The rear wings can house shops or facilities. There's plenty of room on the inside for scenery. The back center archway is decorative. It leads only partially back into the entrance building and is suitable for a seating/rest/view area.

This building uses no custom scenery packs. However, it does require the "M Brookes" cheat & changes to the option.txt file.

glad y'all are liking it.

when you d/l the file, put it in your My Doucments/RCT3/Structures directory. the directions for how to make changes to option.txt and the typical changes are listed in this thread (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=453395)

an egyptian one... what a good idea. i'll see what i can do.

Here's an Entrancy Building for an Egyptian theme.

It encases one standard entrance. Standard RCT3+Soaked+Wild scenery was used as well as Martnetmar's Egypt and Eletigna's New Street Elements. It also requires typical changes to the options.txt file & the "M Brookes" cheat.

the path follows under the floor tiles that are fancier like outside the pyramid. There are two niches in the rear court which I put an Info Booth & a Toilet, but you could use it another way or eliminate them entirely. The rear court has seating areas too.

There are 3 of Eletigna's light spheres on the apex for a Luxor effect. If you want a more traditional pyramid just click to delete them 3 times. More light spheres are on top of the obelisks and tucked under the sphinxes & ram statues.

Egyptians believed that the Ka would need everything in the afterlife that they needed in life... I guess that includes potties :)

Quite impressive. I like the use of the "extras" as artifacts. The trash can actually looks decent in there, and I like the use of the door openings for the blocking the view of the restroom.
One thing - Sooooo many people like to use pyramids as stations/entrances/restaurants/etc. that it's now kind of...overused. I mean really, do you want the entrance to your park through a tomb? I mean - where's the ticket booths, the plaza, the view down a "main" street, the shops that take the rest of your hard earned money?
I'm not saying this isn't good - I like it. I like the idea of the Luxor look. The lights are fantastic. But what if the pyramid was a part of a complex. You entered through an entry buiding, with a courtyard or atrium, and maybe the pyramid was on top of an area of the building. You know, add a little more complexity - a little like your Atlantis themed one.
Thanks for sharing us. I can't wait to see more stuff you come up with!

It took me longer than I thought it would to finish... I got distracted playing instead of building :)

This Egyptian themed entrance uses RCT3 Egypt & Colored Walls. It also uses Marnetmar's Egypt custom scenery & Eletigna's New Street Elements (light). It also needs the M Brookes cheat & typical changes to options.txt.

The park entrypoint is Marnetmar's Egyptian entry. This is immediately followed by two ruined pyramids which are non-game functional & serve as ticket booths. The colonnade has pseudo-turnstyles created out of the small square column from the RCT3 Egypt scenery.

Along the ends of the colonnade are spaces for info boots, toilets, and 6 merch/food/drink booths. The booth spaces work best with the small custom booth-front.

I used Marnetmar's decorative pyramid atop the colonnade so that I could keep the "Luxor Effect." And the procession of his obelisks front & rear give a lead-in to a potential Main Street area.

Because of the winding paths through this Bazaar-like entry, there wasn't as much room for scenery pieces as in the Pyramid entry, but I think that the tent booths are decorative themselves and kinda make up for the loss of the scenery. And a lot of scattered palm trees really dress it up (I removed them for clear pictures.) I like this entry a lot better than the pyramid, myself.
