I present to you the biggest and most complicated project in the Advanced firework editor. I present to you the ROE Globe! This is based of a centerpiece for the show Illuminations ROE at EPCOT. This is a roating 3d globe made in rct3 which splits open and has spotlights and fire... Enjoy :p.

The biggest revolution to hit the rctpyro scene. With the invention of the hologram, the RoE globe could finally be concieved. And with the genious of AT_Mad - it was not only concieved, but built - fully functioning.

bravo - you really are a master of the editor.

Thanks for all the amazing coments :D!

Well I'm currently bored of the NeXus, I'm also bored with firework shows aswell lol. I usually swap what I'm making in RCT3 every so often. From shows to fireworks to The NeXus. So I'm guesing it wont be long before some more updates :).

For those of us with old computors could you make a zip file for plz.

StarRngr4.0
09-16-2006, 01:15 PM
Umm Olmec?

1) zip files are larger than RAR's... they'll take longer to dl.
2) get 7zip...

Olmec
09-16-2006, 01:16 PM
When I say that I mean I cant uncompress the RAR files. Not that I think zips are smaller.

AT_Mad
09-16-2006, 01:22 PM
Just download winrar... I don't have winzip so I cant convert it.

Gor. Geous.

It's beautiful. I've never seen such an accurate re-creation. And the globe itself was made out of Fireworks? It's not a projected laser??

I bow to your Advanced Firework Editing supremacy.

Thanks :), yes the whole thing is one 'firework' (.frw file).

Oh, thats I firework I put it in the lasers folder now wonder it didnt work

The file you downloaded is a video not the actual thing lol ;). The .frw file isn't released yet, it wont be until the show is done (It's a little rule I use with all my .frw files).

Holy crud. That one pic was amazing. What is this hologram thing I heard mentioned?

AT_Mad
09-21-2006, 06:08 PM
Thanks :). Holograms in rct3 are made in the AFE, the idea of doing this was only recently discovered. This globe is made in a very similar way to a hologram, but I like to class this globe as a Frw Object :).

Also some news about the globe... I've decided rather than recreating Iluminations Reflections of Earth now, I'm going to do a remake of Fiesta Adventura at Porta Adventure with Brad (Halo2King) and sr3d. Instead of a laser projection screen used in this show I'm going to use my globe. There will be 5 different globes themed to 5 countries (Mexico,Wild West,China,Polenesia and Mediterania).

Below is a screenshot of the first updated globe, the mexico globe... It looks a little strange in this screenshot because of the huge amount of particles, it looks alot better in videos.

Dang. Is there a post on this hologram thingy somewhere?

AT_Mad
09-21-2006, 06:13 PM
There are a few threads lying around on www.rctpyro.co.uk, but there is no tutorials yet as this is still a very new idea. But they are basically made by loads of invisible fireworks being launching into a shape, were another visible particle apears with no parent so it stays still, this particle will have 0.05/0.10 lifetime. This whole process it happening 100s times so it is posible to make the main base emmiter rotate which will also make the hologram shape rotate.

Oh. I stink at fireworks. Maybe I'll learn someday... Thanks for the explanation.

That looks really great. I love the AFE and how versatile it is.
Could you please make a short video of just that firework? The pic looks very cool but i'd love to see it in action, and i'm without the equipment right now.

What??? Do you mean how long does it last? Its one frw file which lasts 20 seconds (and other smaller times).

That looks really great. I love the AFE and how versatile it is.

There is a vid of it in action in the first post, or do you mean the mexican themed one, I might make one later. I'm also going to start making a random spark burst effect of a globe for a western theme next.

ps you should try going on RCTPyro.co.uk as you seem like you like making shows and fireworks.

I don't believe it was ever available for download, other than a video showing how it works. You may see it in action at rctpyro.com in the Pyromatrix: Apocalypse show in the Companies/Tier 3/IlyxR Dynamics forum. The site is down at the moment while everything is moved to a new server, so I cannot provide an accurate link, but it should be up and running again shortly.

that is really cool but question.. did someone make a holgraphic rotating earth (like in illuminations??)

also.. is it possible to use these effects timed with a fireworks show to make them look like lights on buildings.

it seems to me, if there can be an effect made that looks like lightbulbs on a building to where many of them can be placed on it to outline buildings where their to be lit at different segments along a fireworks show, then a show truly like "illuminations - reflections of earth" could be created very accurately.

oh boy.. i goofed here dp

n747
04-23-2007, 01:45 AM
yeah, basically any light effect can be produced in the AFE (well, with the exception of real shadow-producing lights). IllumiNations has come up pretty often, but the remaining fact is, it would be a massive undertaking that no one person would want to take. The atlas frame globe may have been produced, but an inferno barge and custom fitted lights are a bit off yet.

ps - don't worry about reviving the thread, this one comes up now and again.
