10-01-2006, 01:18 AM
The music was great but not to act like crackhead (inside joke) but there was some parts where you could have had alot of firework going of and the set was a bit to high to see some fireworks but it was understandable why it was that high and there was no Finale:( But Your improving, keep trying!!

and thanks for the name in the creadits

10-01-2006, 01:19 AM
Thanks for the advice

Did you see your self in the credits!

10-01-2006, 01:21 AM

10-01-2006, 01:22 AM
:lol-sign: HA HA!

10-01-2006, 08:46 AM
GOOD JOB the only thing i see that needs to happen is adding in a grand fanale

10-01-2006, 08:49 AM
Yeh I am verry mad at my self for not puting in a fanale:(

10-01-2006, 09:11 AM
For me, it was about a 3/5. However, you lost some points from me because there was no finale, and with a song such as "Masquerade", there should have been. That blew it for me, and maybe it you can go back in and fix it, it will appeal to many others as well.

The choreography was good, but it could have been better. The choreography in "Masquerade" was darn near spot-on, but it could have been significantly better during "The Phantom of the Opera".

The variation of fireworks was great work, and the colors used were fantastic. It was mainly the choreography during the first song and the lack of a finale which dropped the score for me. Don't get me wrong, it was a great show, but some improvements can be made.

If that show is still saved on my game I think Ill redo it.

PS. I dont think the first part of the show is saved on my computre but the second part is.And I realy got to learn to put a fanale I did that on my last video too.

Keep Watching People!:)

I loved the music, but I didn't like the firework show at all...I'm really sorry. Your Pink Pather had more sycronization going on, but this one had random fireworks shooting from random places and the set is another castle? I don't get even why you put a castle in the pink pather show, it looked very odd. Anyways, I got bored right away the beginning, it starts off with no fireworks, when there could have been. The chapters of the firework show had no sense, it should in a logical order to make people keep watching. Also, it was just plain weird, I couldn't watch the whole so I skipped to the ending, but no finale...it was a weird show. Your Pink Pather show was better. I hope I didn't hurt your feelings, I'm just saying what I think. I hope your next one is better... take these negatives and make them into positives, thats the way to improve. Hope this helps...! ;)

10-02-2006, 05:28 PM
It did hurt my feelings but I know your only trying to make me better:(

10-04-2006, 11:43 PM
Even though there was no finale I thought it was AWESOME!!!!!!!! :D I also think there could have been more fireworks...

10-05-2006, 12:22 AM
Ok Pasaway, Have you even seen Phantom Of The Opera? The fireworks are behind an opera house, not a castle and He understands what he needs to do, we're partner together so I can help him out!

10-05-2006, 05:18 PM
Thanks again ZoomRocks! I can allways count on your support.;)

1)yes, I've seen it. its beautiful, but this kinda ruined it...sorry. :( but the truth, hurts. if you can't handle critisim, then why even post your topic.

2)the show does not look like an opera house. even though you don't have the custom scenery for this, you could use the roman set and get creatve with it, use shyguys mainstreet packs, there are many possibilities to what you could do now with RCT3. :downcast:

3)you sure he understands everything... then i expect to see a show like n747's HOT 2006 with moving lights, realistic fireworks, and fountains...:haha:
lets just see your "Dreams Is A Wish" and see that he doesn't understand everyhting yet...:p

4)your song for your page on your website for upcoming shows, is a "love song":p

Don't talk too fast, beginner. Your not an expert yet. Don't think that you know everything... if you do think you have it, then lets just see it...:haha:

P.S. I hope nothing ever like this happens again, your lit the candle and made it turn itno a fire. Remember, I'm only talking like this, beucase of what you said in your post, not becuase I'm trying to be mean.

10-05-2006, 10:11 PM
My website or his because I dont think he's pages has music on it!

I dont know how to get custom sceanery. I read the forums on how to do it but its worthless:(

Hmm, well you are getting better - so thats a plus - but i think we need to go further in how a show should work.

You have the idea down, but the execution is still lacking. Instead of having great patterns, and massive bursts, theres a bunch of little bursts that go off-cue. There is no account for color - it's just randomly splayed throughout the show. And its these things that will put your shows above the rest.

Let's break your show down minute by minute:

:41 - not sure why the pyro started here...instead of the beginning of the show. But it comes in rather subtle...and behind a large portion of the set.
:55 - again, your roman candles are behind a large portion of the set - it doesn't make much sense. And right here - the music calls for much more than just one roman candle bunch. If you're going to use em - use them much more broadly.
1:00 - first major aerial shell is off cue. Explosion is incredibly rapid too.
1:04 - next shell is off cue.
1:07 - next shell is off cue.
1:12 - very very strange comets here - its almost like theyre in a perfect line. I think it would have been more effective with a more random movement.
1:15 - shell is off cue.
1:17 - the music goes back into it's chromatic run - even with a large downbeat, and theres nothing in the sky to compensate.
1:20 - shells aren't translating the dynamics in the music well. (you would almost need something like every roman candle on a note)
1:32 - better peonies here...but still very empty and too one-dimensional. Theres nothing else going on besides the one peony...you could have something going on with comets, or lighting on the stage...something.
1:36 - large burst of peonies don't make sense to what is going on in the music - random and distracting.
1:39 - again...this burst is not working to the music...you need to save these for the chorus of the soundtrack.
1:46 - I don't understand what is going on here...purple willows with a gold willow on top - the color is very arbitrary in this show.
1:52 - shell is on cue...but it doesn't make sense why there is only one. And the sky stays empty throughout that long note.
1:57 - cool shell here - but it would have been more effective to use more than one.
2:01 - another HUGE downbeat of the show - and theres nothing major going on in the sky.
2:02 - shells are exploding way out of the set - this doesnt work very well.
2:05 - good use of doubling up on that shell. It completes the sky more. Keep doing things like this.
2:16 - shells are still going off randomly - and the color is still perplexing.
2:33 - good use of doubling up on the willows.
2:39 - better use of those high points in the music.
3:30 - throughout the section - better job of keeping the sky filled. I don't understand the patterns all that much - but at least youre keeping it from being empty.
3:37 - these large peonies are fighting with the style of shell you already established - be careful which shells you use.
4:00 - honestly, i dont think you should have continued into Masquerade...it kindof slowed the show down...you lost all the energy you built up in the finale of the Phantom of the Opera theme.
4:16 - cool sky use here - love the orange shells.
4:24 - color is a bit random here.. shells are exploding awfully close to the set.
5:43 - shells look good here - this color combo is nice.
6:02 - good shell burst here - the white strobe works well with the cue of "chandalier"
6:09 - but...theres no finale - nothing to wrap up the show...this doesn't leave a good taste in your mouth - it sort of dies off. In every show, there should be something at the end that makes you want to watch it again - now it doesn't have to be HUGE - but every show needs...SOMETHING at the end that closes up the show well.

This show is testiment that you're getting better...but i think you need to study with color for a little bit. Color will make or break a show - when you get to this point that you're fully confident in the shells you launch, you now need to exercise some discretion...and work on patterns in launches, in bursts, and in covering the sky. If you have only one shell going off at a time...it gets incredibly boring fast. The other thing you need to work on is color. You need to know that Red has a certain feel to it when you use it. Green has a certain feel - the combination of Red and Purple has a feel...the combinations of Orange, Red, and White will give another feel.

But again, you can't use it arbitrarily (all over the place). Color only works right when you use it well with the music you've selected. If you use red (a fairly intense color) in a soft section of music...it sort of kills the mood that was being set by the music - it creates a divide between what you're listening to and what you're watching. If you use blue (a nice calming color) in a fairly intense section, it creates another divide. If you use all the colors at once, it creates chaos...and rips the show apart. If you use no color (silver and gold), then your show could never be interesting. So its a fine balance that we all have to walk. But once you understand it - your shows will improve ten-fold. But don't take this lightly, color will make or break a show - everytime.

The way i see Phantom of the Opera is with lots of red, some purple, orange, maybe green - but large red flashes when it hits the downbeat of the chorus. That is the most intense part of the music and should be compensated with the most intense color - red. As it moves into the verses - i would start with a purple - green combination...maybe add in orange somewhere else. But i would keep the majority of that first song in those 3 colors - you can add more color in short bursts...but the main colors should be the ones you've set up.

These are a few things to think about - you're past the point of noob-ness when it comes to shows - now its time for you to grow tremendously! And color is the first thing that will improve your shows - if not the biggest thing that will.

WOW!:bored:  That should get me better:up:
