You should really put a disclaimer stating that this is not a recreation of Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Its and outdoor waterpark, but when I saw this thread, I thought it was a recreation. Anyway, it looks great. What is the name of the big yellow slide?

Wow....this is the first indoor waterpark I've seen on here. This looks good. I love that waterfall! Sweet. This should be in the Parks section but you've already been told so I'll just be quiet. Keep up the good work!

I thought long and hard about this one, i thought of it more as a Pool system, because thats mainly it, with waterslides, no coasters or thrill rides and stuff, if it needs to be placed in the parks section, im more than happy with that. This Waterpark is still in its development stages, about 55/60% done, all the slides are aptly named, mainly due to Colour, eg, GREEN HORNET, YELLOW SUNRISE, POISON, PURPLE HAZE etc: To be fair, im from England and had no idea there was a waterpark called Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World, and remember "THIS IS NOT A RECREATION"
Heres an ovierview:

I really like this. I'm not trying to be rude but, you had no idea that there was no Disney waterpark named Typhoon Lagoon but you used Disney's Typhoon Lagoon logo? Are you going to put a roof on your waterpark?

G Force Junkie
06-06-2007, 01:48 PM
I used the Yahoo search engine on pics mode, entered about 30 different names to do with the word Lagoon and that logo came up, i liked the look of it, and the rest as they say is history. And a roof will be going up, only at the end as it will start causing problems with building.

Can't wait for more. The reason this should probably be in the parks section is because it is a park. a pool complex would not have regular paths anywhere!

When I first saw the pics I figured it was going to be the first "Removable roof" waterpark in the world. With the metal beams at the top. And wow I really need to get soaked. I never realised you could make waterparks look so much like real life. Need to work on all of my skills.

Will this park be downloadable? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm new to the forums (1st post on the forums) and so far the parks I've looked at weren't downloadable like RCTHQ's parks.

i dono how he did that but it could have been NF particle effects, but the only thing is you can see trough it really good and i don't think you can see the otherside in NF particle affects.

Thats what I don't get. Could it of been an options.txt cheat. (such as remove scenery or object collision detection)

Guys i've had breaks from rct3 before i started my mgm back last oct and played solidly for a month left it for ages plaed agin then left for 3 months and came back , alot of people on here and this is fine spend about 60% of their time in the game recently i'm playing rct3 about every other day for 3 hrs which is alot but anyway , park looks really cool very realistic building looks alot like a real pool complex but really cool , anything that inspired you and you should have a removible roof that goes back and forth (although that isnt possible yet)

may i propose that it is falling into a body of water beneath the pool but he has text cheated himself into allowing the waterfall to go through the pool? you can see it does go strait trough!

btw: the log cabin set is being confused for the prehistoric set if i'm right

You should take an overhead picture. I'd very much like to see your layout! I think you've done a great job of incorporating the loggy style buildings!

Btw, where did you get those log walls? Custom scenery?

Sorry i havent been on in ages, but i had little response on this waterpark when i first submitted the pics...so i kind of never bothered doing much more, ive still got it saved so i can continue anytime, which i will do in the near future. To clear up the waterfall issue "thesmallterror" is right, i placed a small body of water under the mainpool, and gave the effect it was falling into the pool, and used some rocks to compliment the effect, its quite simple really. At the moment ive been putting all my hard work into an Extended Coaster which i have aptly named "Centurion" Ive been working very hard on it, about 24 full hours so far, im totally going for realism with this, Fastrack queue's, queue gates, the whole sha-bang.Its still nowhere near done, but the theming is the best ive done in my 6 year career on the game.

--Griffon--

Ya, you are really good at theming. I've had RCT3 for 4 months now, and the closest I got to a total realism park was putting in a lot of different trees and wall hedges to make it look like paradise. :bored:

how do you make those water drops on the picture/video

its part of the game you need a good graphic card to get it

av8er
09-07-2007, 09:31 AM
To get the water droplets on the screen you need to download the update for RCT3 depending on what game your is weather its the EU version or USA version both work but you need to see if the update says EU or USA, just search for it in google.:)

can you tell me what CS sets were used please?

G Force Junkie
09-10-2007, 11:37 AM
Gees!!, Log Cabin set is the most used inside the park, Vodhins Vermont scenery to combine the fence effect, Jcats supports for the framework on top of the roof, street sets 1-4 for the building itself, to be honest ive got about 50 different sets downloaded, i tend to combine sets to produce good effects. If theres any particular part you want to know about, just give us a shout.

Go to the parks section and post a park thread. Call it Typhoon Lagoon [Not Disney] (people assume that) and post pictures there. Or one or two here or there in the "Post your best pictures" thread in General Disscusion.

I bet a lot of people would check it out! Your work is great!
