I just wanted to say that going into college i am getting a mac, and probably will not be pursuing this project any more. I added a lot more, fixed the wheels and realigned everything, to the giga track, i tried out some restraints but they dont look right, and so they have been left the way they are. I guess what i am saying is that anyone who wants a go to try and finish this is welcome to PM me, there is not much more to do...I mean lod's and the final bahn daten, i cannot figure out how to mix tracks, i will give the model to one person so if you want in your PM you should show me what you can and have done becuase i want to make sure this gets finished.

well, its looking great so far but can you show us a pic of the real thing plz, i dont understand what you are making. all i know is that it is a coaster and a CTR

I have decided to fit it to the B&M track because that way more elements can be attempted. You could make a CTR for the Intamin, the only thing would be that the wheels would be a little wide

Don't worry boys and girls, the CTR Wing rider will be released on the B&M track. It will not be splitting, and nor will it race.

It would be good if they made someting that you could basically put this ride on b&m elements but giga coaster track type because then it wud look more like furious baco :D

MINI UPDATE

So i tried importing the front car into RCT3 and what i have is ok, because it almost works. First off, the car is 90 degrees off the axis, i dont know why, it could have to do with my bones, but i dont think so. Secondly the textures dont show up unless they are black...

Does anyone know how to fix this??

Here are some of your problems.


Your models should be in the correct direction uses the axis ( ill show you a picture later)
Each section of the train should be a seperate file and have seperate bones

I understand the second thing you said, and the back train is not imported it is just in the same sketchup file, but i am looking forward to the picture

See the car needs to be facing this way inside the axes. That way it comes out correct.

This is a ctr of the rollercoaster on the Intamin website. I'll look into this more.

I can Try on intamin but on problem is the Twist / Barrel roll :haha: on Furious Baco :D

i will add some to chicos guide.
the car should ALLWAYS be front on the red axis. I think thats what you where trying to show, but just to be on the save side :).
sometimes the coordinates should be left-handed, Z-up...

I actualy think the splitting car is made as two seperate rides that somehow share a track, and there is not point to release this on that track, because you might as well just use the storm runner track or the giga and just deal with the faults. unless we can make custom track you will have to deal with some imperfections.

It was just a thought On the Storm runner/ Intamin Track is Stupid because if you cant make a inline twist can yh :D like Furious Baco in Spain :p And he already told me that it going to be on Extended Coaster / B&M Track . Thanks For Replying btw :D , 1 more thing :haha: Making Your own Custom Track Well that could be amazing :P Now if you did that i would consider the Collosus Track at Thorpe park , World 1st 10 inversion Coaster :D Which is Also Made by Intamin i think:confused: . T>b

Before i test out my completed high LOD model, yes i hope to make multiple LOD's, i need a more advanced instruction of how to set the car to have a different front car. Does anyone know about the advanced tutorial in english?

So i just tried importing the trains to RCT3 twice, the second time i rushed. But i get this weird error message that there are no seats. so i have to go back and deal with that...Also the trains are backward, so this is going to take some more problem solving....

yes there is a way to make multiple cars.

take an empty Wagen_daten File and load it into the CTR creator.
Then you press write CTR something.
Now it looks like this.

I have a few questions.

Firstly: Every time i want to test the trains an error message comes up saying that there are no seats. You press OK and the train tests, but each time it reaches the end of the circuit, it asks again before it starts. As far as i can tell if you have a complete circuit, it does not ask. How do i fix this? i know i have peep effect points so i don't know what is wrong.

Secondly: The highest number of cars setting is three, but in the CTR editor i put 15, also this number does not correspond to the actual number of cars. When it said 3 there were 6 and when it said two, there were 5. How do i fix this?

Those are the only questions i have so far, i just need to fix the positions of the front wheels etc, and we will be ok.

I figured out my problem :). i was writing peep 01 instead of peep01.

I decided to try the front car including the first row of seats, and it works, but the problem is that the wheels look oddly straight because the "first car" doesn't really turn. Now in all the stuff people have posted here, there does not seem to be a car type for a front car that has no passengers, and you get an error message each time saying the cars have no seats, it is annoying. So i was wondering how is it possible to do this, because the front car on the twister cars moves separately, so this is possible. I was thinking the peep position 00, or would that just fail also??

Here is the latest picture, i dont have an ingame one because i forgot, but the cars will no longer have the barrel texture. I just decided to make them colorable. Also this is the highest LOD so far with 832 polys, which may be reduced (doubtful), but there will be other lods. Also i am reworking the restraints.

if you have a front car without seats you also have to have a car with seats in the train if you want to avoid the problem.
When i tested my B&M Goliath i also got the "train have no seats" error. then i added the other cars with seats and it worked fine without any errors.

I have struggled with this problem from the beginning, but i think a simple link car could fix the problem, or there could be another solution i dont know about.

Wheel issue. There is supposed to be a diagonal connector there, and it is visible to connect the middle to bottom wheels, but not the top. these are some issues. At some point in the future when i fix all the ugly i will release a betatest to a select few, i dont know when that will be, because i want this to be awesome...

OLD POST:
So i pretty much have the highest LOD worked out, but there are some minor adjustments that need to be made. Today i worked on the middle car LOD and i like it enough to try it out now...these cars still dont have restraints.

Also i see that the wheels and the setup is not that good, but i am not going to go back and fix it, so maybe on another car if i do any more i will change the wheels, but not for this...

I will post pictures later if i can get it to work

Also what LOD number do i put into the importer to get the LOD to show at 4 squares away??

EDIT: figured it out, but i need to set the LOD for furthur away...

The seats are getting to be a problem..they need to be very detailed and i have a feeling it is going to add quite a number of polys, so i will try to make them detailed but i don't know how it will come out...

He means in the giga coaster in-game there are no inversions, but the track will look better

you can easily combine giga and stormrunner, i did that for recreating Expedition Geforce <hint> <hint>...

Then it will just be a zero g roll instead of a inline twist :).

Then it will just be a zero g roll instead of a inline twist :).
have you actually combined the stormrunner trackpieces (zerog, dive loop etc) with the giga? or just track6 and track9 (inverted impulse) ?

I may make a version with those tracks, not in game, but i tried moving the wheels closer together and it just looked ugly. The whole thing was off. The problem is that the ones in game are so small. I may release a version on the giga, but the wheels won't fit, unless i just move the wheels so it is ugly...

on that note, i changed the wheels and they are 100% better. no picks now, but one question.....how can i make an alpha recolorable??

Ugly sounds good if it fits the intamin boxtrack.

then maybe you should resize the train a little ?

Yes, you cannot add any Track9_CT parts to any BahnDatens, they have some sort of error in them that does not allow this.

well Dasmatze has already mixed tracks in his CTR of the swinging mine...

he mixed a mini coaster ride with the wildmouse ride,

so may some could mix a intamin with B&Melements?

I just wanted to say that going into college i am getting a mac, and probably will not be pursuing this project any more. I added a lot more, fixed the wheels and realigned everything, to the giga track, i tried out some restraints but they dont look right, and so they have been left the way they are. I guess what i am saying is that anyone who wants a go to try and finish this is welcome to PM me, there is not much more to do...I mean lod's and the final bahn daten, i cannot figure out how to mix tracks, i will give the model to one person so if you want in your PM you should show me what you can and have done becuase i want to make sure this gets finished.

Why don't you use Intamin and Wild mouse for Barrel Rolls that could work :) may not look great but its will be alright..?

Also is it true there gonna be Custom Coasters when they find out how its possible, Because then you would be able to make them :)
