yes, it would. this video was just to show the rotation feature of the vehicle. Normally, you would have only one car per train

No...he means set the distance between cars on the train a bit greater...because actually, you probably would want long trains to make it more like the real ride. This is a great start. May I suggest making them round on top...and raising them up off the track a bit so you don't see the rail cutting through the car?

Yeah, thanks for suggesting that. I am planning on raising the cars. As for the round top, I will make it rounder in the future. Also, I will increase the distance between cars

at disney world, the haunted mansion which is a doombuggie ride they have a moveable platform where the ride cars never stop. they just keep going... and the guests get on as the cars are still moving

i dont think rct3 can do that?

Too bad these don't really look like doombuggies, dazmatze one are more acurate, even i they aren't doombuggies.

Spiderdusk is correct in saying that they aren't authentic doombuggies as the floor isn't as open and circular at the bottom. It's much more of a oval. There's no "haunted" safety bar, either. Not to imply the animation, of course, but the shape is different.

Still, the work you have done is inspirational. I'd love to get into designing models again myself.

I see that the peeps are holding themselves to invisible overhead shoulderbars. Pardon my ignorance, but is this pose the only way they can ride in the model? Being that this is a more gentle ride, is there another position that could be implimented?

i know it isn't like a real doombuggie. the main point of this project was to try and create my own version of a doombuggie that had rotation.

Also, i will try and get the peeps to stop holding on to the invisible shoulder restraints

EDIT: The textures are pitch black so they don't intrude on dark rides

I understand. I'm just making constructive observations. They do somewhat resemble the beloved omnimovers. The rotation aspect does looks very good, so it's a success.

I haven't attempted to make any rides yet, hence my plea of ignorance. I had no idea if it was possible to change that, but I thought I'd ask.

I don't like the pitch black like that, If you would use a different texture, it wouldn't be intruding on a dark ride since the peeps who are on the ride are looking from the car. Even something as simple as a cushion or a few scary look scratches on the car. Just a suggestion, and like someone else said earlier, a safety restraint would look nice.

now for another update.

I added a small safety bar and the floor has been fixed. I also increased the space between the cars

Also, I do not plan on changing the texture. The real doombuggies are painted black so as not to intrude on the ride experience

Thats ok, I too have the blueprints. I'm not making a recreation of the doombuggies. The cars are meant to resemble the cars, but still be diffrient.

These are great! I can't wait until they are released, they will be very useful. I hope they don't crash as much as Dasmatze version, I deleted his off my computer, because I couldn't even rotate the cars without them crashing, so I just deleted them.

Anyways, looking great, keep up the good work!

so far, mine have not crashed at all. Remember that you will need RCT3 WITH BOTH ADDONS Soaked/Wild!

Still not a fan of the texture, seeing as there's no excuse because it's not pitch black anymore. They seem a tad mediocre and plain. Not saying I can do better, seeing as I don't know how to make CTR's. But I do know what a good CTR looks like. 3/5. Keep working at it.

it's supposed to be plain. It is supposed to not intrude on the ride iteslf


as for installing without the CTR Creator, put the folders that are in the "cars" folder in
\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum\Cars\TrackedRideCars

Put the folders that are in the "ride" folder in
\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum\tracks\TrackedRides

I like the doombuggies but they crash my game! I have both addons(platinum) and it still crashes.

Edit:now i am having the issue. just a moment while I try to work it out

Edit again: The issue resolved itself as long as you install it with the CTR Creator. If you have any issues, uninstall it and try installing it again

I have installed it twice. It still crashes my game... I don't have the CTR creator, because I thought it was in some other language I don't know...

The CTR Creator 0.75 version can install CTR's for you. It seems rct3 doesn't crash when you use it

Ok, I got it to work. To install it, you WILL NEED The CTR_Creator 0.75. I will post a new download. just follow the instructions in the how to install text file

I just figured it out myself right after I made my first post about how to install them without the creator.

It worked whatever I did, because it didn't crash! Anyways, they look great! I really like these, keep up the good work! I can't wait to make a darkride using these.

Okay, here's how you do it without installing the CTR_Creator!

Place the folders out of the "rides" folder into: atari/rollercoastertycoon3/tracks/TrackedRides folder!

Then place the ones out of the cars folder into: atari/rollercoastertycoon3/cars/TrackedRideCars folder!

This should work, it worked for me!

did you try using the rotation. thats what normaly makes it crash

Which version did you download?

Because now, when open the rides folder (Think that's the one) all that is in there is text files.

Yes, the rotation works, although using it is extremely hard since you cant see what your doing in the blue preview. But they do work. Again, I will try again in a few minutes to make sure they still work.

Yes. I have even restarted the game... I have a feeling it might eb a hit or miss type of thing.

version 1.0 worked for me, and I used the rotation! The only problem I have is the blue preview thing. Other than that they're great!

You must have the angles mixed up...I bet that's why the rotation of blue preview car is flipped. Maybe try swapping it with the other 1440 degree angle?

I'm not sure though...

BTW. It still works ;) though, I would fix a few things...

I would space the cars out a little bit more, because when you have a ton going with each other, they sometimes intersect on the turns.
Your on ride cameras are a little messed up.
The blue preview thing, along with what Mr. Fish said about the angles. The blue preview is backward :p

That's about it! Other than than those little problems they work fine for me ;)

Just letting you know that your cars are looking better. It's nice to see them in blue, too. The recolours will be cool.

I always wanted to do a RCT 3 version of "If You Had Wings." :) I have very fond memories of that ride.

* If you want to go for some extra credit, see if you can texture the cars with a scallop seashell to do "The Seas" with Nemo ride. *

no, i never got the crashing issues sorted out. i have absolutely no idea why they were happening. i've spent multiple days on trying to work the issues out, and with no luck. sorry

I know what it's called, the doombuggie, but I can't get the flat ride version of the tilt-a-Whirl b/c I don't have wild. and it kool to make them spin faster!:noob:Omly ifd I have that annoying expanstion pac!:(
